Guitar hangers work well for storing just to get boards off the floor. Probably be good for if you have a Vallely or something similar with a top graphic you'd want to display.
Awesome! It looks like they made some reproductions. A bit on the pricey side and possibly sold out, but very cool brand-x-toxic.com/products/krypstik-deck-10x30-1?variant=44178755715322
It was the Santa Cruz Jeff Grosso Coka Cola model in red. I think they made one in blue? My first skateboard was a Variflex Beach Monster. So I understood you rocking the Huffy Sigma. I forgot about that bike until I saw your Polaroid.
Thanks for watching and commenting! Last I looked on eBay, I think it's probably worth two or three hundred bucks (unless this color scheme is extra desirable for some reason), but for sentimental reasons... it's priceless to me :)
Spatula City got you a sub from me. This is a nice, simple way. I have my original Lance Mountain that I will be mounting. How did you get them all to hang at the same height?
Thanks so much 🙏🙏🙏. I placed a large piece of poster board (that I had laying around) up against the right side of the wall and used it a a “square” to make a perfectly horizontal “imaginary” line and then just evenly spaced holes for the center of the boards, marked them with a corner of masking tape, then drilled right there. And then just adjusted the length of the wire on each one to make them level 🤣
My hot pink 1989 Powell-Peralta Hawk Claw got stolen in 2003. Managed to get a re-issue about 6 years ago. My favorite 80’s decks were the Vision Mark Gonzalez boards!
Dang, that stinks about getting your Hawk Claw stolen 🥲 But it’s cool that you were able to get a reissue. I had a Hawk chicken skull mini back in the day, with the bonite layers… but it’s in such bad condition, it’s pretty much worthless. I finally decided to get one of the reissues, for the series 14 black light edition. I loved those Mark Gonzales boards too. I’m going to get an old school board to set up and skate, I’m torn between that Gonzales reissue and the Steve Saiz reissue. I’ll probably go with the Saiz, but those Gonzales are super cool and nostalgic 🤔
@@shawkes6775 I’ve never ordered from Old Skull before, so thanks for the tip! (I’ve done most of my online shopping at socalskateshop.com through the years.)
@@shawkes6775 Absolutely! We watched Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure with my youngest daughter a few weeks back. I had forgotten that Genghis Khan rode around on a Vision Gator in the crazy shopping mall scene. Pure 80’s goodness right there 👍
Haha, good eye. They weren't installed that badly, they're just showing their age and abuse. The upper screw hole the wood for the left rail is stripped out and the screw disappeared ages ago, so it's it's not secured, and hangs over the edge. The other one has a crack in one of the screw areas, allowing it to bulge out a bit. They looked fine 36 years ago, but I'm OK with how the board looks now :)
@@TheNostalgicNeighborhood that makes sense, I apologize. If you decide you want to fix the stripped hole, I have taken wood glue and a toothpick or small diameter dowel and filled the hole. Once dry you can predrill and reinstall the screw. Still a nice collection of boards!!!
It's cool you kept all your boards, all those scratches tell a story. Perfect wall art. 👍
Thanks so much. I love that perspective, that the scratches tell a story. Thanks for watching and leaving the comment.
awesome. This is the best way i've seen. Command hooks like to detach from the wall way too often. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate you watching and commenting 🙏
What a genius way to hang decks. Thank you Brother. Thank you so much.
Thanks for the feedback 👊👊👊
Your video was the simplest and most effective. thnksss
Right on!!! Thanks for the feedback 👊
Love that you still have your Gator set up from bitd.
Yeah, I feel pretty lucky to still have it. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙏
Brilliant! Thanks!

Yeah, that’s an interesting idea for a grab and go solution for a board that you still skate. Thanks for sharing 👍
Gator WOW! I had a pink and black checkered Krypstik

Yes, I totally rocked the Sigma!!! 🤣 Those Grosso Coca-Cola decks were iconic. So cool!!!!
Great idea man!
Thanks so much!!
The Vision Gator board was worth a Lot. I haven't checked on the value lately, i can only imagine the value has gone up ⬆️

Thanks for this. I just picked up an autographed SteveO board and had no clue how to hang it up lol
Awesome! Steve O is fun!!! Glad you found the video helpful. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙏

Gator ain't really too cool
Yeah, Mark “Gator” Ragowski himself is 100% the opposite of cool.
Nice boards but the rails on the Gator are installed horribly. They hang over the edge..
