- K&J Magnetics demonstrates how you can remagnetize a flexible fridge magnet using an array of neodymium magnets. We used R821 ring magnets for the job, and the MV43 viewing film to see the fields.

A real gem of a presentation. Didn't know that there was magnetic viewing film or how fridge magnets were made, though I had guessed how they worked.
I'm going to order a short stack of the R821 ring magnets to re-magnetize my freezer door gasket. Will cost much less than the 103.00 Sears wants for a replacement.
Thanks for sharing!
I have an upright freezer with perfectly good door seals but they have all but lost their magnetism. I agree that, on the face of it, this method would be good to remagnetize the seals. What worries me is that trying it could completely demagnetize the seals like in the first part of the video. It really would be nice to hear if it works for such seals.
@John Smith Did you ever try to re-magnetize your fridge door seals? I may try it if it worked for someone else.
Where can I purchase the array neodymium magnets already assembled to-re magnetize flexible magnets?
That looks like a DIY job. Source ring magnets online, then find a bolt that is the right diameter to thread them on to it. Get a nut that fits the bolt so they don't go flying off. Done.
Very nice demonstration. Thanks...
Fascinating stuff.
This is great! I was going to throw this whole sheet away!
Magnets are freaking awesome
What exact magnet on your website are you using please link this in the description ...thanks
that is wild!
Man, your experimental is interesting, though you miss the point: the magnetic array on the sticker is not an alternating N-S-N-S .., but a Halbach array. You can check this by turning the sticker with its back towards the iron plate of the fridge, the attraction is much diminished. Halbach arrays are doubling the field on one side at the expense of the other.
Does this work on any flexible magnetic? I have screen protector that is magnetic, some tiny strips on the end, it's not magnetizing anymore and I don't have the money to buy a new one :/
Hey man,
How do you remagnetise a small rod magnet of 1 mm diameter and 10 mm long??
is there any magnet inside the fridge? I need to find where in the fridge it exists?
Cool.
Anyway to use a single large neo magnet to remagnetize?
Magnetize the steel the door magnets stick to. That's what I did but my magnet is so strong I had to use foil wrap. The magnet will lift over a thousand pounds. This video is one of the worst videos on youtube.
I like it. well mad.
i am strangely attracted to this vid
anyway to do this without buying all those magnets?
e.g. putting a another flexible fridge magnet on top the demagnetize flexible fridge magnet?
the price expensive to buy all those neodyium magnets to do what is done in this video.
Unfortunately not, you need to use stronger neodymium magnets to remagnetize them. Other magnet types aren't strong enough.
I did this and had to order a new fridge door.
Call
is this guy for real? After you watch this video its time to buy a new fridge door.
Bruh whays re you on about?
Big thumbs down.
