  • Join me on an exciting journey through Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! 🇲🇾 Today, I woke up bright and early with the sun, ready to explore this vibrant city. My first stop was supposed to be the super cool upside-down house that I've been dreaming about, but guess what? It was gone! 😱 But hey, no worries, because right next door stood the majestic KL Tower, towering above the city like a giant! So, I decided to check it out up close and personal.
After that, I hopped onto the free local open-top bus for an epic sightseeing adventure around Kuala Lumpur! From the bustling streets to the serene parks, every corner had something new and exciting to offer. I couldn't believe how much there was to see!
Finally, I arrived at the popular Bukit Bintang area, and let me tell you, I was in for a surprise! The bright lights, the hustle and bustle, and the energy of the place were absolutely electrifying! From trendy shops to delicious street food stalls, Bukit Bintang had it all. It was the perfect end to an unforgettable day of exploration.

Hi Wayne, I was in KL a couple of months ago and went to the upside down museum. It was pretty busy when i was there, im surprised that they closed and demolished it. Im glad that i went when i did. There are still plenty of things for you to see, though. Have a good time, it's a fun city.

Super bustling city Wayne but at the same time appears less than a stress to get around compared to Bangkok and the footpaths look to be mostly western world class compared to the trip hazards around Bangkok. My new favourite City around SE Asia based on all the You-Tube vids I have watched over the years. Well done Wayne 🤩

When I was there is 2012, people did base jumps from the tower. The area there had many electronic malls and I was hunting for a bigger storage card for my canon camera. Got it with a good price. Loved to walk through KL myself even when it was hot and humid. The malls had aircon for a change.

@WalkAboutWayne yeah! I also watched your video about expats. I stayed there for about 2 months and I think you're spot on. Supermarkets are pricier too. I would say that if people are prepared to live in outer suburbs 1 hour away from the city, rents are good. But in the city, definitely more expensive than Chiang Mai. Pretty much everyone speaks English though. I'm 56 so looking for retirement options - don't wanna work after I'm 60! On balance I would prefer Chiang Mai but your point about visas is on point too. Dentists/hospitals also excellent in Malaysia.

Wayne .. a different topic---I see that there is a rugby club on Loi Kroh now. I played back in the 70s. I was a hooker. My mom had a bumber sticker, "My Son Is a Marine." But she refused, "my son is a hooker". Anyway, in the 70s that. S. America rugby team's plane crashed. A few survived on a special "diet". We had another bumber sticker, "Rugby players eat their dead". It was stolen off my car. Think it was my girlfriend. So maybe that team has a position for me. Can't run, not strong ..but just as crazy. Forgot, wouldn't mind buying you a drink at that club. And we could both sign up, right?
