Glenn, I have been watching your videos for some time, the thing that always stands out for me is how clean your work is.
My gas forge is running very neutral and I rarely work at extreme temperature (create less scale). I think those help a lot. Thanks.
Your thought process continues to inspire my thought process! I enjoy watching you come up with unusual and effective solutions.
It really pleases me to know that you can gain any inspiration from watching. Thanks.
Your anvil is amazing! The greatest I’ve ever seen!!
I'm very pleased with my small, block style anvils - suit me well. Thanks.
Glen GS Tongs would you consider making one more on commission?
If I had to make many, I think I would go the traditional rivet heading route. Great video!
And this is how Glen got into integral guard knife making.
Not likely, but you never know. Thanks and take care.
Love to watch the forging process
After all this time, I'm glad you're still around and still enjoy my channel. Thanks.
Wonderful work sir. It lookwd lie you were going to make a mini hammer there for a min lol.
With me, you never know where a project will go. Thanks.
That out of that short 3/4 square is impressive
For the number of heats it took me, I think this loses some impressiveness. Anyway, this is just one way to go about this sort of thing. Thanks.
Very useful technique....Dave

His name is-
Ohh....
There may be more efficient ways to go about this works for me. Thanks.
Genius thinking. Thank you...
Much appreciated. You're too kind.
Very cool Glen!
Thanks for your continuing support.
Interesting set hammer.
That little set hammer works very well for me. And it's probably my most popular video (the making of it) which just goes to show there's no telling... Thanks.
Miles are good!🤠
Thanks for watching.
Hey Glen, I've got two guillotine tools and both of them started deforming on the striking end of the fuller inserts right away. Yours look like they are holding up way better. Are yours hardened or of especially tough steel? Should they normally be hardened? Mine must be just mild steel fullers, what are yours made of? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Even if it's just 'buy mine'. Great video as usual, thanks!
Hi and thanks for your interest in my guillotine tool and for watching. I use 1050 medium carbon steel for my guillotine dies and heat treat these to make them hold up better to repeated striking. I think a lot of other guillotine tools just use mild steel and this isn't necessarily bad but they will definitely mushroom more easily. Maybe look into getting medium carbon steel to replace your current dies or try using a softer hammer to strike your guillotine tool. And if you have any interest to purchase mine, just shoot me an email. Thanks again.
Nice job, can't help but think maybe a giant size nail or rivet header might be easier??
That was pretty interesting. Admittedly I was somewhat at a loss in the beginning as to the direction this was going. Well i been mo edjumacated now. Lololol
Well done sir
🙏 Blessed days now and stay well brother
Crawford out ⚒️🧙♂️
PS i always try n play thru the adds... however seems you tube has decided most all forging video coming thru on my device need thus 51min long health movie attatched to them. Truely unfortunate for yall as it effects the watch time and add revenue for yall. Sorry sir just cant sit through that video over and over. Know its not you or anyone else fault so not at all bitching. Just explain the why behind it. 💜 Your content and channel anyway
I was also at a loss in the beginning! I'm not sure what ads are attached but I understand you can't always bear getting through some of them, no problem. Thanks for letting me know.
Like from Russia ✊🙂
I appreciate your like. Thanks and take care.
Good morning....
Good morning to you as well. Thanks for watching.
Where did you get that anvil?!?is there any way you would send me pics and measurements of your anvils? Please.
The small, block style anvils I use are my own designs which I had made here in Taiwan. All told, I had four different ones made and am very pleased with all. Thanks for watching.
Glen GS Tongs could I get the specificities so I may recreate some for my use?
The rumor is that this guy uses a new anvil for every video.
Just kidding, but seriously, how do you keep your anvil so pristine?
I'm in a very humid country (Taiwan) and so I frequently oil my anvils and try to keep them in good shape - always use but never abuse them. Wouldn't mind having a new anvil for each video but after a little while I'd have to sleep on top of anvils since my space is so limited. Thanks for watching and for your good humor.
Why not draw the shank down, then use a bolster plate through the hardy hole and strike down on the large end? It seems as if it would make cleaner shoulders and be a more efficient method of using the energy from you hammer blows.
Greg M Glen is sitting.
That could certainly be one way to go about this. But I don't have a bolster plate in that size. Maybe next time, I'll make a suitable bolster and give it a go that way. Thanks for sharing.
Greg's point is a good one. Standing or sitting, there's always more than one way... Thanks.
Thanks Glen. I love the channel and you are always showing different ways to accomplish tasks. The university of UA-cam is open here for sure.
