- The class is the TITS! Designed for beginning/intermediate improvisers, it clearly explains the BASIC secret of linear improvisation, the rhythmic combination of chord scales, arpeggios and extensions (chromatics coming in part 4). The class is intended to be used in combination with Beginning Jazz Improvisation Parts 1+2 to provide a complete curriculum for the beginning jazz improviser. Blessings and keep swingin!!

hi Frank. Can I be Frank with you? not all but many of the tunes you play sounds like a "run on sentence" no breath marks, no dynamics, no build ups, no story lines, mono sounding, no legible melody. other than that it's all good!
wonderful, thanks for sharing. How about an example of what you are referring to? Be specific please.
No response? I was looking forward to it:(
Subtitle in spanish?

Besides all, do you know what's great? That you simply just take a sheet of paper and read out of it what you intend to say, avoiding stopping, unclarity or hesitation in your voice so it's quite pleasant to listen to it, that's very rational in my book. :-)
+Kubulu Thanks for writing, I know there is a teleprompter ipad app, I just haven't got that technology happennin yet..
+Dave Frank thank god for that, I am 22 but still admire you old school to finish university without the internet you know.. (positive metaphore), I don't know why sheet music is being pushed away by f.tablets or real band by guitar pro and other stuff.. Just think that in the old days (for you, not me:-D) you guys learnt a lot just by ear without technology that helped you to develop the ear..
These really are truly wonderful tutorials, Dave. Beyond helpful. And I really appreciate the positive enthusiasm. Thanks a bunch!

Hi Mr.Dave ,I'm a selfmade pianist, with a big passion for jazz, I've a lot of difficult to enter into the swing feel...I play your lines like "ta - ta -ta.." instead my ear listen "ta -Ta- ta- Ta"..there some accent in the lines..but you don't speak about this..can You explain better the accent..please thank you for you job. ciao da Napoli
the best way to address this would be on a skype call, which I would be happy to do for free)
IT'S HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

+Long Nguyen I appreciate your appreciation) Blessings and keep swingin from you know where haha
thank you and can you give us the chord changes for the song? eric
i love you sir. you lesson is understandable. I eager for such improvization course for a long time.
Dave, do you have to to make sure that you start your right hand improv scale on the root of each changing left hand chord or can it be any one of the notes in the chord triad?Cheers rob
Keep revisiting it again and again. Absolutely priceless. Your lessons have changed the course of my musical explorations and my life. Will it be possible to make some lessons on some of the left hand comping techniques and other useful variations regarding the left hand?
I'm so happy) Yes, write to me directly at Dfrankjazz@aol.com...
Hi Dave, really enjoying your lessons. I would just like to clarify: when adding these arpeggios and extensions, these arpeggios are built from the current chord being played, and not the from the key scale of the chord progression. Is that right?
Yes
