- Amad Diallo produced an excellent performance for Man United to help them to the 3-2 win over Newcastle United at Old Trafford.
Amad Diallo proved to be an essential part of United’s attack on the night, making his presence known from the start.
A constant threat in the final third, Amad’s impact was already felt in the 31st minute, when he spotted Kobbie Mainoo running into the box unmarked. He threaded the ball past a handful of Newcastle defenders to Mainoo, who was able to put away his shot to hand United the lead.
While United appeared dejected after Newcastle equalised in the 49th minute, it was Amad who rose to the occasion yet again to re-energise his team.
As Bruno Fernandes squared up to take a corner, Amad used his wit to position himself on the edge of the box where he went unnoticed by the visitors’ defence. As Fernandes’ cross was cut out by Kieran Trippier, Amad was perfectly positioned to pounce on the loose ball. With his first touch, he struck a thunderous shot on goal to restore United’s lead.

In my humble opinion this line up had more fight in it than all the other ones ETH played all season. It’s sad to see that Amrabat starting and playing full games at the end of the season shows what he had in him all along. Now watch ETH go back to playing Antony in the FA cup final

@@ismaelmwinyi921 na you missing the point. He has played Antony over Amad all season. What you talking about. If he is gonna change anything in this line up it has to be Garnacho for Rashford. Amad is untouchable based on previous performances. Amrabat also deserves to start against Brighton and the FA cup. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. We were unlucky against Arsenal without Bruno. Played way better against Newcastle. Remember we had more possession against Arsenal. If anything needs changing it’s that defensive line. If Varane and Martinez are fit then that’s the change he should make. But leave that midfield alone.

Amad is superb had it been he gets enough game time we will have seen more from him.

How much better our season would have been had Amad, Kobi not got injured in preseason, had Amarabat been fully fit, alongside Licha and Shaw. This also gives me hope and optimism for the next season, because these players will be better for the experience going into next. Hopefully with few additions, upfront, in midfield and defence. With bit of luck on injury front we'll be in top 4. Had it not been for dropping points against Chelsea we would have been challenging Tottenham, achievement in itself considering all those injuries, Fulham Brentford games were costly.
Probably not much coz ETH would still have kept Amad on the bench. I’m not sure what he saw that made him think yes Antony is a better fit. It’s crazy to me.

Aaron Wan Bisaka often gets overlooked & underated. he contributes off the ball by the overlap but doesn't get the return. Another player who's low confidence resulting in poor performances recently.
In my opinion Amad shouldl ine up on the right and sell Antony. His performance should fill the void and that we won't be needing to sign Olisse

ETH's team selection has been the downside of this season. Sometimes I feel he doesn't know his job when he opts for Antony and Erickson instead of Amad and Amrabat

Brillant young footballer must play in fa cup final.
He's good. But he's too over confident and he holds the ball up longer than he should. Works in the championship, but if he keeps giving defenders an extra 2 secs to regroup each time in the prem, these wont be regular moments.

If you watched the games instead of just reading stats. You'd know Antony out performed all United's other wingers defensively and if he wasn't on the field. United would have conceded even more goals
