Honestly im glad youre talking about. Naruto has it's flaws, it isnt perfect, but I dont understand how people says it sucks. The anime is a little different than the manga, for instance Sakura is better in the manga and so is Sasuke. But even ignoring those 2 some characters could be written better or need more screen time, some world building elements couldve been fleshed out more, the war arc drags because it's paced poorly (something I didnt realize until my 2nd watch through recently), etc... It isn't perfect, it's flawed, but to say it just flat out sucks is a crazy take. Naruto is not objectively a bad show. It's got compelling story lines, characters you care about, character arcs with interesting developments, good twists that go against genre conventions, the ability to recontextualize antagonists, good messages, amazing fight scenes and choreography, cool power system, funny moments, touchy feely moments, moments that can make grown men cry, and one of the only shows I know that somehow manages to do good writing on death fake outs, bringing people back from the dead, and manages to make people cry over the same characters dying twice something that is a feat on its own because people generally hate that stuff. It's not perfect, and I can understand how some say it's overrated (though I disagree), but to say it sucks is an L take. Naruto is my favorite show, not just anime, show period, hell its my favorite franchise/IP. It made me who I am today and spoke to me on an emotional level that not many anime can. And if it sucked it wouldnt be one of the most popular and well known anime of all time, to the point of becoming a part of our cultural zeitgeist in Japan and America. If someone tells you Naruto sucks, ignore them, they dont know what theyre talking about.

MHA and Black Clover both take inspiration from Naruto, MHA with a slower approach and more characters focus, while Black Clover is faster and more plot focused. Bro, I’ve watched all the Boruto episodes and there are some I do question.. I can understand why people are upset comparing them to OG Naruto episodes, however idc because I watch Boruto for the Boruto story and not for Naruto. We already got his story.
