Hello to everyone in here I just want to share a valuable memories of my buddy toby backroad angling to who you that haven't met toby backroad angling he is such a great guy a friend to fishing with or met he is mentor mentality awesome and full of greatness helpful and much more if you can keep up with him along the hybrid stripe bass activities .
I'm sure you northern guys have learned to embrace the winter. I'm trying my best to enjoy ice fishing while it is here but I'm getting antsy already. Especially after playing back all my old footage from warmer months. Thanks for watching!
Ya, the walleye like it. The wipers usually key on some variation of white and/or chartreuse but sometimes they swing hard in favor of dark colors. I'm not sure why. Thanks for watching!
The second one was a saugeye. I'm up in wisconsin man, wish I was still open water fishing but been slaying the jumbo perch on the ice. Walleye bite is super slow this year up here but spring is around the corner! Keep posting

It's been over 3 months since open water for me. What a great multispecies reminder!

Man that was a wiper and walleye wreckfest! Awesome stuff!
Thanks, they really turned on at a time that I usually don't do well (early winter). It was a nice surprise!
Great video. You've got the magic touch, both in fishing and editing.
Thanks, I spend a lot of time out at the river. Sometimes it pays off.
You're just living a good life right now my brother, kudos
Thanks, it definitely feels like the good life whenever I'm out at the river!
That's my go-to bait and color for walleye around here.

Does that spillway ever disappoint for you? Great catches, man
Usually there is something interesting that bites even on the slow days. Thanks!
Holy shit that's a spot to kill for, wish we had places like this in NY.... Great job brother 🤙🎣
Thanks, yes it's an awesome fishery. So many different species and a lot of trophy fish.

I wish we had more perch like that down here. Hopefully spring weather is coming soon! Thank you!
Great job and great video
Thanks, I'm glad you watched!
Taking my wife and son in March for his bday to try to get him on some wipers hopefully our weather cooperates and things warm up
Good luck, I hope spring weather comes soon! Thanks for watching!
Good
Thanks!
Never had any luck with them pulsar baits
It might be a location thing. In this river they really seem to like them but I've definitely had certain spots where they don't work as good.
I've found that switching between a moon eye jig and a gum ball jig sometimes makes a difference also.
Bro, can’t wait for open water here in Mn. But that’s still not compare to what you are catching there though 😅
I'm with you. I hope warmer weather is coming soon! The spring bite can't come soon enough! Thanks!
Hello Toby .
Hi, thanks for watching!
Was this late fall/early winter? nice day of fishing
Yes, thank you!
What size jig head were you using with the pulsar? Nice video as always. Impressive.
3/8 most of the time. 1/4 sometimes. Thanks!
@BackroadsAngling sounds like what I usually use but seems like other people use smaller.
How are you doing lately ?
