One small detail : if you hit a crouching opponent with a stand mk, it's better to link a stand hp after, because it will force the opponent to stand, so hk ruffian (the most powerful) will not miss.
Thanks for the guide man! My main is Chun-Li, and I never really dig deeper to any other characters, but I got really interested to this new Cody. As his play style is vastly different than Chun-Li, I'm having a hard time to getting myself to adapt him. Chun-Li has really good pokes and speed, when I switch to Cody, I feel my limps are not mine, as his moves are slow and like no poke at all (Maybe a little better with V-T1 actived)? XD Any tips guys?
Eph Pro use medium ruffian kick. Learn to use your grab , after blocking specially against ryu and ken that tend to shoryuken a lot. Be more defensive and block more attacks finding a way to counter attack. Cody critical art is a great anti-air most people tend to jump kick a lot. Cody V-skill kick is a very good move to counter some attacks even if takes a little of your life. On my case i use more the knife is actually good on his regular punch final combination combo. Tube is far greater but you need to learn more combos. Ex-attacks of cody can be easily interrutep except when you chain then in combos. Tornado sweep can be used to close the distance between you and your enemy. Low ruffian kick can be used to land your enemy to the ground.
Thanks for the tips! But I'm having trouble while dealing with faster movement characters, even I'm having hard time dealing with Ryu. The problems I'm facing while playing cody are: 1. Tornado Sweep recovery takes so long, people could jump in very easily. 2. Ruffian Kicks has very slow start up and very negative on block. 3. Lack of wake up DP, people keep on bullying their way in, and V-skill can't use as a wake up reversal. 4. Yes, all EXs are slow! Like real slow. 5. Only one crush counter option, and the startup is slow as hell. 6. Overhead is slow too, but range is so meh, and very negative on block. About the good sides, Cody has many anti air options, I find myself could do anti air more consistently than my poor Chun-Li. At first I mostly use VT1, but now I've already switched to VT2, as I think in VT1, I suddenly have to change my playstyle as all his "hand attacks" changed, and the new moves are very V-bar consuming. On the other hand, VT2 only changed his HP, and the new moves aren't that consuming, also a command crab is cool!
Eph Pro Well indeed Cody is slow, his attacks are very slow and have lots of frames. I can just say from my experience when you do the punch combo, dont do it fully, once you do the third punch he does and animation and is free to get hit, just do 2 punches once those connect you can all the combo, knife can a very got tool to change the situation i have won matches against those balrog fighters that spam a lot the forward punch with 10% of life. I would say the momet to use the ex attack kick would be when you notive he is standing and try to be an unexpected hit and end with high kick does a lot of damage. Also you have to use cross up, and grabs, from my experience from Cody i dont know what more i can tell. Lets just wait capcom patch cody and gives him some armor while doing some knuckle. Also learn when your enemy is open for getting attack. Do you have some advice for chun li?. I want to learn to play another character i only use ibuki and cody. But i want to get Alex on a future and learn to play with him.
Yes, Cody really some invincible move, armor Zonk would be cool! You play Ibuki and then now to Cody? She is a fast character too, I wonder how could you adapt to Cody, haha. As for Chun-Li, she is not easy to pick up either, as some people might not really fond of charge character, and her Bnb require crazy timing of charging. But she has some very good pokes, tons of good buttons. Bad sides, she has floaty jump and so so anti air.
Eph Pro I would like armor zonk knucle, well went i started street fighter 5 the first character i pick was ibuki, and yes she is really fast and i get use to her fast even after they nerfed her ,i keep playing with her, when they release Cody i decided to go play with it since im a final fight fan as well. At the difference is huge still with ibuki i was at silver rank close to get gold ,but when i go with Cody i went down bronce and im going up again currently super bronce close to Silver. One thing that helped me was playing arcade at max difficulty because i improve with that a lot, i try playing chun li before the timing is a bit complicated. Maybe we could have some friendly matches, was your gamertag?

I salute the amount of work put in this video. And I don't even play SF5!
Had to come back and watch for the good info now that im on that Cody life
Best guide format I've seen. Could you do this for all the characters?
D00dable hey man thanks for checking out the video and the feedback! Yes, we plan on getting round to the rest of the characters soon. Stay tuned!
definitely tube is better than knife
thx for basic tutor

Hi,
When Cody is knocked over and then raises what is the command for him to throw the dust?
Thanks.
So kind of like how you hit down as soon as you hit the floor to get up quick, you press up LP once you get knocked down.
@@tuipulotulavaka1757 Thanks!
