Happy Chinese New Year. Good video i have hoped to see. Since it is your first time touring China, big city like Guangzhou is definitely a good choice. Very laid back family oriented environment always brings joy and happiness to people. Thanks for sharing. Wish you prosperous year of snake. Oh BTW, the year of snake has 384 days since it has a leap month if June. Enjoy😊
It is insanely beautiful! I wish we’d visited it too. It’s so impressive. There was so much going on that I’m sure we missed a lot, but it was so much fun. ☺️

The Chinese people are characterized by honesty, diligence and will do whatever they are asked to do. This kind of personality will be bullied all over the world. Foreigners are characterized by self and freedom, which are the same excellent personal qualities. So this is the contradiction between Chinese and Western cultures.
when I saw the title I went oh no 😅 but I guess you have to experience everything once lol. the problem isn't huge crowds leading up to new years, but more afterwards when most families take 1-2 weeks off. that means most family businesses including restaurants won't be open. I guess if you just want to site see then that's fine but you will have less options for food. mike also ate the kumquat the right way, all at once. the inside is bitter and sour, but strangely enough the peel(even without the candied sugar) is the sweet part so it's opposite of an orange/tangerine. all at once gives a slightly sweet, bitter, and sour flavor so lol. did you check out the huge square in front of the canton tower? that should give a nice view and can fit a million people lol but I guess even for major holidays when everyone is off, you might need a reservation. there are just way too many people in china so when everyone is off work and all want to do the same thing, reservations are required just for crowd control. this is why most people say avoid traveling in china during new years, the first week of may and oct.
Happy Chinese NY… love your vlogs through China and that you enjoyed your trip so far! You guys really make me homesick, as this year I wasn’t able to visit home (Beijing) for Chinese NY. Hope you guys have more fun there! ❤❤❤and happy 2025
While there many western tourists to China who have vlogs, you are probably the only American couple who are touring China and have good vlogs. Keep it up! 🎉🎉🎉

happy chinese new year !
春节快乐🎉好热闹的氛围。身在日本东京虽然离得这么近,却丝毫感受不到这份热闹和喜悦。烟花表演虽然没有最好的观看位置,但生活不就是这样吗,庆幸你们没有错过。
Happy Chinese New Year!
Love the video and the China series. Happy Chinese New Year!
The big building you saw is a famous temple in Guangzhou.
We can see why! It’s so amazing. Hopefully we’ll be able to check it out during our stay.
I’m so glad you didn’t say happy lunar new year, otherwise you’ll make many Chinese ppl angry! lol
What impression did the Chinese New Year cultural experience leave on you?
谢谢!
The building you were standing in front of is ‘Dafo Temple’ built in 900. Can't remember if it's free tho
Those tiny oranges are kumquat. It has a sweet skin and sour body. Normally it is eaten in whole.

Awesome
Ashley dislikes the "small orange" kumquat, which means golden tangerine, and is popular in Guangdong and Southeast Asia.😃
