I always loved this tune ever since hearing it on 88.9 The Fusebox Emerson College radio station Boston 1988.... Most inspiring afternoon of my youth on the drums. I had a copy of Cobham meets Bellson on VHS and Birds of Fire ,Crosswinds, Spectrum and Total Eclipse. Cobham fan for life!
This is one of my Cobham favorites. Every member of this band just RIPS their instrument. When they transition into the swing that's just amazing and the syncopation Billy puts on that swing section is CRAZY! He's a true master.
Back around 2005 or so there was an Ebay auction for a bunch of BC equipment including china cymbals, north drums, and I believe an oberheim synth that Milcho Leviev played. The stuff was in a storage unit and had something to do with contract issues with Atlantic. There was also the original metal plates from Observations And Reflections that a guy named Ted E Bear from Progarchives Dot Com outbid me on. He said he was giving them to Billy.
This is the record I had. I didn't get much of a chance to hear it because it skipped, but what I heard was really promising especially this amazing track. Thanks for posting it.

Is that Dean Brown or Michael Stern? I think it's Dean Brown on guitar.
Dean Brown, I do have that LP since then,,,
Thank you Casey.
This is also on Power Play? or Warning? too I think. He repeats songs on albums. But this is a longer version I think.
Nope. This Masterpiece is a one off.. Stratus, Taurian Matador and Red Baron are the tunes he tends to re record.
