When I heard the radio version I thought this song was just about jumping on the dance floor or something. But the opening line of the album version recontextualises the whole song. It's about taking a leap of faith, moving on to something new. I appreciated the song on a whole other level when I realised that, and it inspired me to make a few changes of my own. Great track.

This song on Ugly Betty season 2 finale was the highlight of the season. I was so dependent on my boyfriend and this song gave me the courage to walk out after 10 years of being controlled. In my case she is so freaking right, “the only thing you can depend is your family”. This song and “Turn up the Radio” are the most inspirational songs for me.

she was 47/48 and she did most modern and best dance album back then than any 18 years old could. its 11 years after CoaD was released and it still is modern, makes pleasure, and it sounds like it was released this year. Viva Madonna!

it definitely doesn’t sound as modern as you’re making it seem. it’s a classic album that has a classic disco-pop sound. it’s still refreshing and has aged really well but it doesn’t sound like it was released this year.

This is the kind of song that teaches you that sometimes it's not about focusing on doing good dance moves and you controlling your dancing but the song controls you and all the stress literally escapes you.
The production of this song is very good; you have the bee gees (Jive Talkin') in the guitar/base. The sound effect changes from the first chorus to the second chorus. They mixed everything very well.

Coming back to this song after not hearing it for a while. This has been a really tough year for me personally. A lot of setbacks and heartache. People who I thought would always have my back aren't around anymore. But this song reminds me of my own strength and will to survive. What a fitting song for the end of one decade and the beginning of a brand new one. On to bigger and better things!
