My friend plays the mobile tiles whenever we play together. The one that I possibly think is really fun is the guitar hero controller.

As a long term xbox player, i must say the controls you've mentioned are pretty decent but imo, just using the X A Y B buttons as your keybinds are the best controls if you want good accuracy and just overall better gameplay.
Of course you can still use the controls that were mentioned but i definitely recommend it to use those keybinds if you haven't already.
i also use that setup and i can get some good scores with it lol

I suggest for starters use:
D pad left - left arrow
D pad down - down arrow
Y - up arrow
B - right arrow
Fun Fact: In 8:15, The Best Thing To Do Is To Set The Arrow Size On Max And The Lane Offset On 1.15, With Middle And Down Scroll. This Way, It'll Be Easier To See Where The Arrows Are Wherever You're Looking On The Screen, You Won't Be Distracted By The Enemy Arrows AND It's Theoretically Less Confusing For The Arrows To Go From Up To Down Than Down To Up.

I still play on mobile and I'm still getting better at the tiles the only issue is the only time I play funky Friday is out when I update comes out for the game so yeah the game is pretty still laggy but I still enjoy these feelings me like it :-)

Tbh I use to play mobile portrait but there was one issue that converted me to tiles in landscape the arrows moved 2 × faster on portrait so if I wear to set my speed to 2.2 it would be 4.4 speed wich is why I play landscape

I remember playing Funky Friday on my gaming Computer but I find it difficult(No offense to those who play it on pc) to play on the keyboard. I usually stick with mobile tiles since I play FF on my phone and it's pretty easy, just practice
Yes people hate mobile for no reason despite it being so easy
idk computer is easy since its just the same as mobile tiles, but with keys. I actually think that playing on mobile is worse considering if you have a surface that a phone can slide around easily, its going to be hell.

mine is mobile titles because we have the ability to do impossible songs by just double taping or even more just like you said basically! it really enjoyable and i love it! i mostly use tablet because its the fastest way to hit the notes faster than the funky friday offset

I think I’m able to call my self a true pro when it comes to FNF, I play funky Friday on mobile and I am able to hit really hard combination combined with really fast songs as well. I wish I had more friends that play FNF as then I can get more practice in while having fun. But I think I’m ok as I have my sister and my best friend to keep me company while playing, so I hope I improve more with there support and get on the leader boards one day🙃

I prefer downscroll potrait mode because it feels like I’m tap the arrows and I love that feeling of it
well since my computer screen is broken so i can only see the y when i hook it up to my tv i have been with tiles and i gotta say i was expecting them to be in 1st or 2nd place and i just love the tile dragging feature it makes hitting doubles - quads so much better

I know I have not been on social media for a while but lyte just made a new video and they added. 2v2 it looks so good and cool. I can’t wait till this update come out.
I always loved the Mobile Arrows. I tilt my device to where the Mobile Arrows are and then play with two fingers on each hand. I eventually switched because I got tired of it.
My favorite way to play is keyboard because it is easily accessible and pretty much everyone has one. Also have a good vacation CaptainJackAttack!

Some keyboards have a limitation on the hardware that prevents you from holding more than so many keys at once. I can only hold 3 at a time. That's why i use 2 keyboards at once to play the game. That way, I can actually hit 4 keys at once, and play multikey mania charts like Astral Calamity.
I'm a mobile player UA-camr myself so I prefer tiles one they don't cramp your wrists two they make the arrows more visible

My binds for controller is d-pads, A, B, X and Y button. Then I use d-pad left, down, Y and B.
The best way for me to play funky friday is with the mobile tiles horizontal, using upscroll and flipping my phone upside down.
Really helps getting more sicks and higher scores :)

My fav way of playing is on Mobile/iPad because I used to only have iPad so I had to start out playing on ipad and now I’m really good

i think the pc keyboard is pretty easy to do spam parts with, cuz you can add extra key binds and spam witch up to 8 fingers

As a xbox player people have said they use y, b, dpad down, dpad left.

This is in order) and I have heard noone say or ever has said the triggers and bumpers or whatever you said about up dpad
As a mobile Funky Friday player.....I do say it is true, because if you use the aarow button ones It'll make our fingers hurt way more but using the tiles its way easier

I only tried the keyboard and the mobile tiles and I gotta say, I definitely prefer the keyboard. It feels less tryhard imo

some people use portrait mode like my brother he thinks tiles are too confusing I thought that when I first started playing but I got used to it and it’s my best way to play funky friday on mobile
funky friday with the keypad gives a nice challenge to linear keybind players, it’s like aswd but cooler
(rip to those without keypads tho)
@CaptainJackAttack i would like funky friday to add a one arrow mode where there is only one arrow for the notes and all of the notes are compact into one arrow direction. such as left down up or right and you can do a pretty fun challenge at the same time! :D
Mobile players would have a huge advantage if they added this mode
I got idea retrospecter animation adding spike on the back and your character is big and the mic is in your hands
funky friday on my phone is pretty cool but my arms hurt after a bit because they’re too close together. i usually use keybinds that have my arms pretty far apart on my computer
theres gonna be a very good update on the 1 year anniversary (i swear if they don’t do it or if the update is bad i’m gonna freak out)

I play Funky Friday with a Xbox controller on Xbox, tho I don’t use the LB,RB/LT,RT buttons I use the X,Y,A and B buttons instead, a much better feeling for me.

Lol when i started playing funky friday i started at bottons at mobiles then after a few 6 months i truned into a mobile tiles player the. 2022 i turned into Botha PC player and a mobile player and like after those months u truned pro like I'm so proud
Song for me when I try and when I put more tiles on funky Friday basically the screen upright how do you make marble tiles just go on the side because it's so frustrating

I Play Xbox and I play with left, Down d pad and the B n' Y buttons (I also use the Rb button for the 5th key which makes for some Bussin gameplay for 5 key songs, you could also use the Lb button)P.S. I wouldn't play 9 key if I were you bud.
Seeing Jack playing funky friday with a GameCube controller was funny and I can relate the pain while I was playing funky friday on the ps4 controller

one time i was trying to get better at the game so i searched up "how to get good at funky friday" then i saw a silly fan girl video and i clicked on it. one of the things he said was "get this keyboard, it will make you better" but i use a windows 10, so i could get a blue tooth keyboard but have to move my computer far away from me so i couldn't read the notes well so im stuck with my windows 10 key board. atleast i can still preform really good on it but still. so my fav way is to play on pc.
I use ERIO for my key binds, also what's the speed yall play on, mines 2.75 to 3x speed
