Lee is bang on. It happened 3 or 4 times our players went down and broke up our own momentum and then got up and was fine. If I was arteta I'd be slamming them in the dressing room.

Villa were more organised defensively. And Arsenal ran out of ideas.
Out of all the Arsenal squad, to me Trossard has always seemed weakest, mentality-wise since he came onto the team. He's very skillful, no doubt, but I just feel like there's a necessary passion which is severely lacking in him, and I wouldn't have him on my team tbh.
Trossard is the coolest and he would have converted those Ode chances…… I don’t like Ode sometimes as well….. but fine if he sets up a few goals consistently ….. I like more of Lampard kinds …… the consistency of that foot on shooting should be 8-9/10 chances….. we talk about we have different goal scorers but ….. in terms of finishing…. I only see Saka and Trossard at that level …… Saka is dropping off not sure why

Agree with this. Our players down on the floor far too often when they aren't that hurt. Thats fine when you're 1-0 up but not when you're chasing a game.

We showed a softness today that I thought was out of our game two years ago. I watched our captain pull out of a fifty-fifty about halfway through the second half and I knew we weren't going to win. Soft. Villa won more duels than us, ran further and won the game because they wanted to fight for it and most of our players didn't fancy it.

If we took our chances, of which there were plenty, we easily win this game and nobody talks about "mentality". People always want to bring up slander like this when the only glaring issue was our ability to put the ball in the back of the net which was indeed worrying.
Team actually played well. Just the problems from start of season will catch the team out every now and then. Been said many times before
1. No lethal striker. Jesus would be a great number 8. He loved the ball.
2. No super subs. Trossard was it last season. No this time around. Has not been consistent.

As a neutral I think arsenal overall are playing well. Yes they dropped points but so will Liverpool and I am a Liverpool fan. We have deficiencies as well. I feel this is the season where no one is gonna be utterly dominant. No one is gonna get 90+ points. You just need to be there and there about till March-Apr and go from there.

Zinchenko was brilliant he made clinical passes and dictated the play well from midfield, the front players did not take advantage of Zinchenko hard work and intelligence.
Our forwards were off-ish today, and Zinny kept blocking our defenders from passing the ball upfront quickly-but kudos to him, he wanted the ball to effect the game more...
Zinnys role is a mess. Last weekend he confused rice and we conceded and today again he confused rice and saliba when it came to the second ball. He's role is over rated. His passing is average and his defending is atrocious. G. Jesus could defend better.

The team lacks steel people like white and odegaard are soft. Whites defending lacks aggression and has cost two goals, Odegaard is always pulling out of challenges.
I promise you Ben White is nothing more than squad player. Great going forward but poor defensively, i've seen enough now. A tricky winger has him on toast. Desperately need a replacement in January. Odegaard is quality at times but way too dependent on his left foot & now it's starting to cost us. Elite players use their weak foot too unless you're an anomaly like Salah or Mahrez. Plus he rarely wins his duels. May not be a popular opinion but he needs competition badly because he won't win us a title. Signings like Rice are what we need more of because the team need fight as well as quality.

Odegaard and saka wasted some clear chances. We were the better team but villa just took their chance. Havertz was unreal today though

I understand it’s a different perspective in the ground but the energy’s gone isn’t the wrong place. We should got back out the game long before any substitution but weren’t ruthless enough. Looking at the attack for this one - had enough chances to win the game.

Agree with Lee. Play to score goals. There is a few players in that Arsenal setup that would rather play for sympathy. It's either in their makeup or being coached to secure possession, free kicks or pens.
