    Nicaragua is literally one of the most safest places to travel and visit in Latin America but a lot of people don’t know this because they always compare us to our brothers and sister from the north honduras and el salvador which are very bad countries to travel as I been told you can go around the corner without a gang stopping you and asking for money or else. Nicaragua is not perfect no country is but if it’s one thing they don’t tolerate over there is gangs. Crimes still happen because is a world wide thing not matter where you are but as in overall traveling Nicaragua is one of the best places to visit. I suggest everyone giving a shot at least once. It’s very cheap compare to other places also

    I love that your experience was so great! It reminds me of my trip to Australia with my friend & her family. There wasn't a language barrier but spending quality time with someone else's family & being accepted & welcomed to share their country is a remarkable feeling I wish everyone could feel & offer others.

      yo soy de argentina y es increible que todo centroamerica me parezca un nuevo mundo, creo incluso que los mexicanos tienen mas cultura en comun con los estadounidenses que con nosotros, el imperio español la verdad que se expandio mucho.

    I've only ever done long-term immersion experiences (Germany, China), but I've considered doing exactly that kind of short-term (4-8 week) experience for Spanish. I've even looked at Veronica's Spanish School online! Thanks for posting your story and testimonials.

    • @kakibana4965
      @kakibana4965  7 років тому +3

      Thanks Jason for your comment! I'm glad you liked the video! If I had the time, I would love to do long term immersions too, because then you get to know the culture even more. But if you're limited for time, a short term immersion is great too. That's awesome you've already looked at Veronica's website! If you go, you will have a great time!

    • @JasonBechtelTeaches

      iirc, there were a couple of other schools in SJdS that looked decent. obviously without actually enrolling in them you can't speak directly to their quality, but have you developed an impression about any of the other schools there from people you've talked to?

    • @kakibana4965
      @kakibana4965  7 років тому +3

      mmm not really unfortunately! the only thing I noticed is that the other schools are mainly in the city centre, so you'll be in the tourist area, which means you won't be seeing the area where the locals live and spend time. That's why I really liked my school because it was away from the tourist area!

    Hey Anna! It's been a long time since you came to Colombia, I am Laura, one of your students here in Bogotá. actually I was thinking about you lately because I'm about to get back to Japanese classes, just as the ones you gave us at school every Thursday in the lunch time, hope you remember. It's really good to know you're making this kind of videos because you motivated me then, and you are doing it right now by telling your experience and memories. Thanks for the tips, and also for the Japanese classes, I feel more prepared to face this challenge than I was before, and it's all thanks to you. Keep uploading videos and posting in your blog, it is always good to watch and read you I guess. Bye... 😊👋🏼

      FinesseManMarco not really 800$ for a month, plus 3 meals a day, in America you pay 1600$ just for rent and around 300$ for food, so its cheaper living eating plus there teaching you spanish its a win win win

    Everybody I found on UA-cam that stated how they learned Spanish said they moved to live in a predominately Spanish speaking country like going to live in Spanish, Puerto Rico, Chile, etc. And I know living in America there's a lot of Spanish speaking people but we speak predominately English. So how can I learn fluent Spanish without traveling.

    • @mkaiah5114

    • @clauq347
      @clauq347 6 років тому +2

      Im from argentina...you dont necessary need to travel to learn a foreign language....of course it will be much more easier if you do it ...if you live in a placer where you have to use it or use it .. to survive!! You know what i mean ...but I think that is the key...the key is that living in a spanish speaker county you practise a lot ..So do that ...learn in your place and practise practise and more practise....and you will get the same results .....That was exactly what i did to learn english

      Let me help you dude
      I know that in some countries that speak Spanish "pa" is used to summarize the word for but it is somewhat informal and it is better to use PARA the more standard me enseñe el español is wrong because you sayd I've teach myself Spanish and the correct form are Yo aprendí español o me enseñaron español or in your case "estoy aprendiendo español y lo quiero dominar" and finally in this sentence you have to change the word Tambien for the word Ademas in english is the same word but in spanish the word is used for some situations and the end word correctly writed is Guapisima that mean Beatifull
      Keep going with this work and you learn a good or best Spanish

  • @GillAgainsIsland12

    This is misleading. People with talent in music think it's easy to learn to play an instrument. For THEM that's true. They don't realize how difficult it can be for others who practice just as much. Why is this? Talent. People with talent don't even realize they have it until they compare themselves with other people. Sorry, it's talent. Doesn't mean you can't learn another language. It will just take you a lot longer.

    • @andym28
      @andym28 6 років тому

      Vincent Ardizzone That's also misleading. I play a few instruments to advanced level and the learning process is lengthy and challenging. I was very bad then only got out what I put in.

    That was a really long video - if you script it down it would be a lot more concise. I had a similar experience, but in South America. No-one is going to learn a language in two months, but it's possible to get to a good basic conversational level, by living (and working if possible) in a latin american country for a few months, whilst taking classes and being around native speakers. 70% fluency is an ambitious claim. Full fluency takes years.

    I'm not sure of her level of inteligentes but to talk fluent in a language you need to know at lease 3000 words,and to know that in two months she needs to be on jeopardy

      There are several things for how to learn Spanish
      Decide precisely why you want to learn it
      Try to use Spanish everyday
      Find which method works for you the best.
      (I learned about these and more from Alijha language course site )

    anyone can learn a few phrases in 2 months, i doubt it was anything impressive. not even the top linguists and polyglots can speak well in 2 months

    • @vivaeuropa
      @vivaeuropa 6 років тому +7

      insecto Stop being negative and most of the polyglots have a job, responsibilities, and are studying multiple languages at once so someone on vacation fully dedicated all day long to one language can learn in 2 months and many polyglots can learn in 2 months as well, its basics not advanced.

      "Learnt" is the past tense of "learn" in British English. Australia uses British English and she is Australian. It is not incorrect.

    You can't learn a language in two months. It takes years of steady commitment and practice.
