Thank you very much 👍 Love this Race one of my Favourite ever Races and a Sensational Performance by Lewis Hamilton propably his best performance in Wet Weather conditions he was over a minute clear or 2nd place Nick Heidfeld!
Probably Lewis's best ever drive. Yes Japan 2007 and Turkey 2020 were memorable races but this race was utter domination from when he initially took the lead until the end of the race.
@@vinniamsterdam700 I keep these edits to 2m20 so I can also post them on X at some point. Really difficult to keep them coherent though - especially with all the pit stops. And for races like this there’s so much action. The full highlights are really good. When I uploaded them to YT a few days ago (privately) there was no copyright claims at all which surprised me! 24 hours later though it had so many claims even doing the usual cropping tactics wouldn’t have worked :(
Championship was looking insane after the first half of the season: Massa, Hamilton & Räikkönen 48, Kubica 46! What a fantastic season to rewatch Zeddie, thanks a lot! 🏁✌
Weird trivia fact - third year ending in 8 in succession that the British Grand Prix was wet (1988 and 1998 were too). As 1968 and 1978 were at Brands Hatch it meant 2018 was the first dry one at Silverstone in a year ending 8 since 1958!
The 1st pit stop was crucial. Lewis chances onto new tyres but Raikkonen didn't. It rained soon after and Lewis thrived whilst Raikkonen struggled after.
Piquet seemed such a confidence driver. Confident and did well. Running in p4 till he aquaplaned out. Races such as France, Silverstone and Germany showed he could be a good driver. Renault obviously had Alonso but piquet should have been treated better ( yes I know 09 wasn't brilliant ).
@@RyanMonks-s2i unfortunately Flav wasn’t really one to give a driver confidence, particularly if they were in the second seat. Ask, well basically anyone who wasn’t Schumacher, Alonso and maybe Fisi
Thanks for the alternative link BZ. 🙂This was a time of concern as it seemed like the penultimate ever F1 race at Silverstone thanks to an audacious bid from Donington Park but for the Leicestershire circuit it wasn't to be. The three abiding memories of this race, several hare appearances, Felipe Massa spinning more than a figure skater and Lewis Hamilton bossing everyone after the flak he received after the last two races.
Both of Lewis’ legendary wet weather race wins in 2008 full highlights not being able to load on UA-cam Sounds like UA-cam is hating lol! Perfect way to keep critics quiet after 2 scruffy races
Probably still Hamilton’s best drive. A lot of his Mercedes wins were all a bit interchangeable, but this (along with Monaco in this year to a lesser degree), showed he was much more complete driver than Massa. Science is still unable to explain Barrichello’s third place in the Honda Earth Mover
Yes Classic Race sensational Performance by Lewis Hamilton very good drive by Nick Heidfeld great driving by him. Amazing result for Barrichello and Honda.

Ferrari made a big mistake with Raikkonen. Team strategy went downhill at Ferrari after Ross Brown left and this was evidence of that. Handing it to McLaren like James said.

Rosberg grew up a lot in his 3 years with Schumacher at Mercedes. Then another year or two with Hamilton and he was fully ready to take it to Lewis for the title in 2016. The propaganda spread by the media that Hamilton was unlucky due to reliability are absurd as anyone who watches 2016 season will see that all things considered it was a fair and square battle.
@@alexlazebat839Nope, they wanted Nico to replace Alonso, Nico rejected it because of his head to head against Lewis in the junior series. It was like 100 to 6, something diabolical like that, 2016 is still the biggest robbery in F1 I have ever seen and it was implemented by the team itself.

One of Hamilton’s best Wins if not the best. And one of his best ever Drives sensational performance.
right in germany lewis forced massa wide = no penalty, Vettel does that to button same place he gets a 20 secs penalty

@@jonihamalainen2228 It was intended to be a bit of a joke on how much of a dog the Honda was, Barrichello was definitely handy in the wet!
