What's up, Brother! Another unfortunate sign of the times. All of ours closed a few years ago. Even a CVS closed here! There are still some opened along with Walgreen's. It is hardly surprising but an economic collapse is underway in Levittown as we speak. There is a still operating Webster Bank building formerly occupied by Astoria and Sterling banks that is sitting in between two closed businesses. For most of the banks history it was located near a small office building. Between 1993 and 1995 a Rite Aid was constructed east of the bank. In late 2011, the office building to the west of the bank was closed so that it could be demolished to make way for tea dairy Queen that opened in late 2014. The fall of 2023 was a very horrifying time as both businesses surrounding the bank were closed within less than three months of each other; the Rite Aid closed in October and the Dairy Queen shuttered in late December after plans to shutter the location in January 2024 were accelerated. Both closures were announced in early September internally but the news about the latter’s closing was not made public until the last two weeks of December.

The Rite Aid in Mt. Vernon is/was a state liquor store. Could get something to wash the meds down while there lol
They’ve been gone in AZ for 10 years,couldn’t compete with Wally World and Kroger owned Fry’s,CVS and Walgreens are slowly fading here too!
More people in that empty store than in my fully loaded rite aide, sad! Their prices were too high.

Oh wow, I was gonna ask, where’s the merchandise? Or was it just open to sell fixtures? That one sad shelf of complete randomness? Thats sad.
