Quick on the draw as always! :o I've been pleased having Explorer in my workflow so far. Having spot-to-DAW on my home PC is awesome coming from using Soundminer for work. I greatly appreciate only taking the slice I want from a sample and not the entire thing. I also like having some light processing options (pitch shifting, reverse & whoosh) as it saves doing those same steps in-DAW. It's also nice to experiment with how those effects sound without needing to add it to a session. There's some UX weirdness Explorer needs to sort out, namely saving my window config settings after I tweaked it exactly how I wanted it. ;_; It adds a minute or two to get things set comfortably before I can really get going on editing.
I like Sound Particles Explorer more than ADSR Sample Manager and COSMOS. Explorer seems to be more reliable than ADSR and better at most things. COSMOS would be great if it could read MP3 files and files that are longer than 60 seconds. I really like the export and spot to DAW, editing, reverse, woosh, converting, and more in Explorer. I still haven't tried making a Playlist, but I'm glad it's there if I need it. I like having the option of separate databases since some of my audio files are voice drops and I don't want them all together.
Soundly was good, but suddenly when I was about to start it, I got a blue screen. Every single time I start Soundly, the same thing happens. So it was good to have an alternative. Thanks.
@@cactuzzsound No. It is often easier to find a solution on your own. Otherwise, you have to go through time-consuming questions, often about simple things like "Have you tried reinstalling the program?" and similar. English is also not my first language, and I have a little dyslexia. So, this text is translated via Google Translate. (I check the text first.)
@@cactuzzsound Thanks. 😊 It works, and hopefully will continue to work.😊 (pepper pepper take in wood. (I'm not sure, but I think that's how you say it in English))

Certainly, there are few things to improve, but overall it looks like a solid piece of free software :)

Yeah, the possibility to work with any kind of audio is really nice feature here.

Have you tried to contact with Soundly support?

Can we drag the selected region of audio directly to DAW like in Soundminer or others?
I guess only „spot” option works. In soundly you can also drag and drop, but here I am not sure and can’t check right now.
Can you still look into soundly using explorer ? :p
Yeah! I can and I do, because besides my private work I use it in the studio I work with and we have only Soundly libraries there to use :)
That whoosh feature is imba!
And it's Free!!
One suggestion if you want more followers and views.. focus the video on the computer screen more.. not your face.
Nope. He did a fantastic job.
