    Pamuk is a magician. I've read 3 novels by him and I not only admire him for his artistry but also for his courage in voicing some of the most troubling issues of our times. People who denounce him as "traitor" do not know the ABCD of literature. How can someone doubt his deep love for Turkey after reading, say, "Snow"? Every page of the novel bears witness to his genuine love for his country. It's another thing that for people like Pamuk, as for all sensible people, LOVE is often more nuanced.

    Thank you Mr Pamuk. Your books and talks are really inspiring.
    Tomo la pulsera crono regalo de mi hermana y la convierto en un objeto de poder. Y me comprometo a terminar mi primera novela postmoderna el 31 12 2010

    Russian invaded Turks as well as Britain,France,italian and specially Greeks(with a huge hate since Troy)Armed Armenian sided with russian troops to fight against Turks,As truth is first casulty in wars,both side did horrible things to each other.
    My personal feeling is when we lived together for over 1100 years we become more than just neighbours.I still hope we can stop carrying the baggage of hate and find the goodness in each other.

    What I said was, even a wrong history is better than no history. If Pamuk through his writings is presenting a version of history which u don't think to be true you can at least counter it your own version of facts which you think or know to be true. Pamuk has been the first author in years who have put Turkey in the World literary map. I'm not a Turkish and wouldn't have been discussing Turkish literature or history were it not for Pamuk .

    @turkishwulf1988 Please don't write something so childish and arbitrary!! Explain why and which part of Mr. Pamuk is so objectionable that you have to say this against him?! He's a great writer and has been recognized as so by both Turks and non-Turks alike! Pick a book of his and read. Don't be brainwashed by nationalists or be fed with whatever they try to shove to you.

    You seem to be really angry with Pamuk but when u say turkish people do not know their own history I think writing fictions out of those forgotten histories can be a good starting point. Fiction doesn't make truth claims and can be countered with other narratives. But it is important to have a narrative in the first place even if u want to counter it. I think u atleast need to thank Pamuk for that. By the bye in spite of your opposition u seem to know more about the author than most.

    His work is quite inspiring, and is a novel author. I do not believe his personal veiws about Turkish, Kurds, Armenians have valid points as well. What I do have a problem with is; that mostly for political reasons on his views rather than his actual work that he is so well promoted. There is an anti-Turkish sentiment around most of the western world and that is soley not a good reason to fuel his success.

      YagmurBereketi sorsan adamın okuduğunu kitapların çeyreğini bile duymamşsındır, ama laf söylemeye gelince cürret maşallah.. Bu ülke ve geçmişi hakkında isteyen istediğine inanmakta özgür. Kendi mesleğinde sen de onun kadar iyi ol, dünyaya ismini duyur, o zaman gider vatanın hakkında kendi fikirlerine göre savunmanı yapar, ülkeni öyle tanıtırsın...

      Sence O mesleginde çok mu iyi ,yoksa onun dünyaya ismini duyurması için karşılığında Türklerin soykırımcı olduğunu 1,5 milyon ermeniyi katlettiklerini söylemesi yeterli oluyor muydu ? Bunun gibi Türkiye düşmanlarının ülkemi tanıtması utanç verici , nobelle ilgili Banu avar'ın bir videosu var izlemeni tavsiye ederim. Masumiyet müzesi kitabını okuyamadım bile iğrenç bir kitap bence ve bu yazar parası çok bol olduğu için o kitabın reklamını yapmak için bir apartmanı masumiyet müzesine çevirmiş..o kadar yetenekli başarılı yazarlarımız dururken böyle bir kişiliğin ödül alması çok acı.

    • @soopuree
      @soopuree 9 років тому +1

      öyle Türkler soykırımcı demekle nobel alınsaydı bu ülkede binlerce kişi sıraya girerdi emin ol.. Kitaplarını bile okumadığın bir yazar, yazarlık veya edebiyat konusunda uzman da olmadığın bir konu hakkında sanal alemde böyle rahat atıp tutmak yerine, sen kendi uzmanlık alanında gerçek başarılarınla ünlü ol, ülkemizi daha iyi tanıt lütfen..
