With the diminishing returns that 4th shield module isn't doing much at all. it's a waste of a slot. Go with a Pith-X large shield booster instead & be reppin. And those are 4 over-loadable shield modules for kicks. Passive tank can't be overloaded. My cap says 3 minutes for everything but hi-sec suicide ganks don't take 3 minutes so who cares lol.

I run a command processor rig to run 4 command bursts. Being able to boost shield HP and shield resistances is a big help. When I'm moon mining I may swap out to 3 mining bursts because the equipment preservation makes a noticable difference in how long mining crystals last.
I personally wouldn't bother about the charges. If u are buying over 7k as Loru did which is an overkill, (you can do it if u want totally personal choice) then you always end up in a sitation where you will always ran out of heavy water faster than charges. So I personally think its better to carry more heavy water with you in your cargo and in your fleet hangar aswell topped to max. So if you can afford to play more you can get overall more ice = more money. While you are mining you will empty your hangar first from heavy water so, you can start putting the compressed ice there. With 2.5k charges you can keep them active for 41+hours constantly thats more than enough. Then after u go back sell ice restock go again. :) The fitt is awsome I am using the same btw. I just skipped on the cloak and instead of that, I am using a Large remote shield booster II and I keep my alt accounts in lock. So if gankers show up i can "heal" my alts if shit going down. My Orca is sitting at around 510k ehp but I also have an ancillary shield boost that reps around 500hp/s in bursts to slow the gankers down even more. I love your fit and will be looking at dropping a hull rig and adding a shield extender to see if that adds a little more ehp. Great video!

My orca got around 620k ehp with overheated invuls+ hardeners, remember to overheat hardeners while gank atempt. also i high recomended using abyssal damage control unit instead of tech 2 They not so cheap but you can made them easy using some low - mid grade mutaplasmids or buy any for extra 40-150mil isk on contract, imo if you fly ship worh more than 1-2bil isk you should invenst on abyssal damage control unit, espetialy orca it self got huge hull hit points abyssal dcu give a lot more ehp because of base hull resist in case you got decent - nice abyssal roll. Second tip, some pith gist x type hardeners or caldari em hardener (not invuls) cost only like 20-30mil isk per unit they not expensiv. last tip if you go for implant non mining implant use, hardwings that increase flat shield-hull hit points. High grade nirvana implantset and i would suggest to use some multiplamids to further bolster up your shield extender and toggle overheat your resist modules as soon as the mobs arive in the icebelt 0.5 sec means concord needs something about 19 seconds and according to Eve-Uni and this decreases by 4sec per 0.1 up if the belt is in a higher sec system.

its great your thinking beyond the box some of my thoughts from a different perspective the thing is your fit is cheep the hull is expensive if its for high-sec putting 500m-1bil of modules is not exactly bling i use orcas as multi transports and fleet booster i rarely use others for shipping to trade hubs i will explain put 2 pithum invols 2 deadspace resists but the big one is a change in attitude about the difference in being a fleet booster use a full set of nivana implants and shield implants 7/8/9 with the mining director in the 10 the next 2 are the thing dont fit bulkhead 2 in rigs fit all Large Core Defense Field Extender II drop one of the mining boosts for a second sheild boost heated your now over 900000 ehp even with out going to officer the orca can get to just under 1.490.000 ehp when the game has events i put a set of event boosters in the panic box the max i have managed to get the orca to has bin just over 1.800.000 ehp heated its fun seeing gankers through a fleet at it and the shield hasn't broken as they expect the max being 600000 ehp total
Question Loru: Why do you go with the 2 Large Transverse Bulkhead II rigs and not 3? I was messing around with the fit and noticed my ehp jumps up an additional 26,651 ehp with the 3rd Large Transverse Bulkhead II rig. I also noticed that with your fit, using the Large Core Defense Field Extender II as a 3rd rig although my ehp is lower, my shield hp does go up an additional 9,755 hp. Let me know if you're aware of this and why one is better than the other. I don't understand fitting enough but to the untrained pilot's eye I would want to go with the 3rd Large Transverse Bulkhead II rig for the additional 26,651 ehp. BLING MY SHIP LORU [swingfish] The "problem" with the orca is the Core, as it takes forever to shut down, if i do fleet in a suspicius area, i just keep it off, transfer ore to the fleet hanger and then to the mining hold, once at 80ish% tick core and Compressor and compress it all at once, not really care about the Heavy water saved, but if you get jumped on, you have at least some chance as the boat does lign up faster, assuming you not scrambled. i also store a manticore in the fleet hanger, its cheap and small, but deals some serious damage to the gankers ;) i run almost the same fit on my orca, but i have some serious power problems (-287 power / -24CPU) because of the large MWD (but that gets me to jump in 10 sec or less) :) one more thing: the ORE Mining Director Mindlink is kind of a waste, as ROI will take years (unless you do only mine fulltime) .. you getting a 25% boos on top of the boost, that does translate to barely 5% increase in ore/hour ... you will have to mine ALOT of ice with ALOT of fleet-ships/alts to make 600mill back ;) (it's not making 600mill profit, its making 600mill with the implants result .. that means out of about 350mill on ore 500-800k is because of the implant) alltough i'm still considering one for my orca toon, as i do plan on providing fleet support for larger fleets, but this is just somethings nice, not really translates to income/ROI fror the thing itself.
allright fit, but it can be improved quite abit. so for this type of fits, and ship cost, the specialized deadspace modules for shield resist are dirt cheap. pith x-type kinetic and thermal hardener who gices whoping 57% extra resist only cost 20 mill each or so, and you actually better off just swaping that shield extender modules for more resist, especially if you remember to overheat the modules if you should get attacked. considering the amount of resist you alrdy have on the hull tank, you actually better off just go with 3x transverse rigs aswell, instead of 2x transverse and 1x shield extender. so this fit are only 100mill extra or so, and with max skills and overheated shield modules when getting attacked, it gonna give you wooping 670k ehp, and an 25% increase over the number you showed on your fit:) if you even more on the crazy side to really give the gankers a hard time, you can further get the mid-grade nirvana implant set + couple of other implants that incraese your shield tank. that gonna increase your overall tank up to 795k ehp, or another 18% over the 670k ehp, or 50% increase over the tank you show in your video. but even with allmost 800k tank, it gonna take 45-50 or so catalysts to bring you down, so if the gankers really wanna get you, they gonna get you, and therefore you still are far from invincible. that said 50 catalysts gonna cost gankers roughly 650 mill, so if they willing to spend that kind of money to gank an orca with allmost no chance of getting even 10% of it back, i have no idea about. Aligning does absolutely nothing if you don't keep moving, the direction the ship is facing does not impact how quickly you will enter warp, achieving 75% speed will because of some simplified game physics. You wouldn't keep moving in an Orca if you had the industrial core for the compression and boosts constantly.
You never have to leave the belt? LOL. Max haul from a solo ice belt filled every available inch of space of my Orca for 375 million isk estimated of Ice.

Question regarding the cloak.
you say cloak to sit out the siege timer, is the siege timer the weapons timer? (i tried so many times on my core :p)

Love your Vids, However a fleet FC can warp the fleet to any member in their fleet..... and thus a cloaky ship can get close and then call for a warp in on top of you....Could they not?

you can get boosts for ice with the Prop, but the Porp cannot compress ice!
Aligning does absolutely nothing if you don't keep moving, the direction the ship is facing does not impact how quickly you will enter warp, achieving 75% speed will because of some simplified game physics. You wouldn't keep moving in an Orca if you had the industrial core for the compression and boosts constantly.
gotta balance being aligned out and when to use the siege mode, correct!
