I received the curl collection by Verb with the NEW CURL FOAMING GEL in collaboration with Mane's by Mell. I share my day 1-3 results. The instructions I read for this product on their website says to use on soaking wet hair, so maybe it's not suitable to use for a dry refresh. Wondering if this is what caused the flaking?
I’m wondering the same, but I mean I use other foams or mousses to refresh on hair that already has products and it doesn’t flake like this. I’m not sure why it happened but I’m definitely doing a update this week and posting it doing it with a leave in and a curl cream. 🥰 thank you for watching

I’ve been using it for refreshing and I have not seen any flakes.
I used this for the first time on my 2B2C hair and I did my usual - leave in, curl cream, bowl method, this product, micro plopped, then plopped for 20, then added another layer of this product and diffused until dry. My curls/waves were AMAZING!!! Big, defined, juicy & soft. I’m 9 hrs into my 12 hr shift & my hair is the same!!! Can’t wait to see what these next few days will look like.

@@Marianellyy - day 2 just needed a shake & fluff. Day 3, I sprayed my hair (kinda wet, but, not dripping) and added more product (about 4 good pumps) & diffused - it looked great & didn’t feel producty at all - soft & shiny. I’m hooked on this stuff.

You should try out the AG cloud mousse. It's like crack. It leaves my curls very soft, high volume and also holds very well and can be used to refresh.

Beautiful results! Is this product really different from regular mousse? I love Mel and I'm going to try it eventually, but my hair tends to like gel over mousse. I'm wondering if this is truly a hybrid 'foaming gel' or just another way to market mousse like OUAI calling their mousse an 'Air Dry Foam'? Can't wait for an update after you use it a bit more!
The texture is something I’ve never seen before, it comes out just like a regular foam, once you emulsify it becomes like gel-ish lol it’s so weird but so cool🤯 they definitely did that. I’ll make an update. 🥰 thank you for watching
Eek love Mell and Amanda, I just know it will be amazing. Though let me watch this lol 😅. After watching OH NO, its soo flaky 🤯. I have never seen so many flakes 🙁. Please try it again with your normal routine. I can never one and done with products either.
I’m not sure what happened, I usually refresh with a mousse or a foam on day 3 even day 2 when my hair needs it and I already have other products from wash day on, so I’m not sure why the products would flake one me. Of course I will do a full routine again this week and make a video about it 🥰
I wonder how this foam compares to the doux mousse. They both claim the same benefits altho I have never ever had flakes with the doux even when refreshing. (It's a foam just called a mousse)

I wet my hands and used it to refresh, and I didn't get flaking. That said, I'm going through product quickly.

I wonder if the foaming gel shouldn't be used to refresh (on day 2 and beyond)? Perhaps it needs the water to work properly?
I'd love to see you use it in your normal routine (ie with the leave in and cream, then the foam).
I was going to purchase it, but would like to see more reviews before I commit to trying ANOTHER product.
I’m wondering the same, maybe it’s not meant to be used on dry hair, I used it as a refresh because that’s what I usually use to refresh my curls. I will do another video updating and using it with a leave in and also the curl cream. But now I’m wondering if I’ll be able to use this foam as a refresher again. Thank you so much for watching 🥰
The directions do not say anything about using it to refresh so I’m not sure if it will work in that way. It only says to apply on soaking wet hair. You might try adding water to it when using it to refresh, using water or steam and if that doesn’t work I’d use something else to refresh.
I know Mell typically doesn’t use water to refresh but when she uses gel she will add water to it.
I used this and loved it! I had volume and definition for days - after being fairly lazy with the styling. I had covid, the fatigue was kicking my behind and I lost energy when doing the top part of my hair. You couldn’t tell it though!
I also didn’t bother refreshing. I wasn’t going out or doing anything.
I’m getting ready to use it for the second time today.

I have consistently used Verb Ghost Prep leave in/heat protection for years. It’s one of my favorite leave in’s. I know it works well with the foam gel. I’ve used their curly leave in and cream for years. Both are great and pair well. I’m curious to see how the foam will work with other products and I have high hopes. I think it will pair nicely with some other brands I use.
I emailed VERB as I am allergic to oranges & they said it is Grapefruit.
Also to refresh the hair needs to have water first then the foaming gel.
Should have said CITRUS scent. Orange was the smell that came to my mind. Glad you will be able to use this product 🥰. I NEVER use water to refresh, only use my foams or mousses to refresh. That’s why I use them so I don’t have wet hair. It’s what works for me. Thank you for watching ❣️
