  • The 2023 graduates of MA Screendance presented their final works in the form of live screenings and installations at FISH TANK: Festival of Contemporary Dance hosted by the postgraduate students and staff of London Contemporary Dance School.
This celebratory event marked the completion of 15-months of intense engagement with the practices, theories, histories and communication of interdisciplinary movement-based screen practices. The 2023 cohort composed of seven enthusiastic students from five different countries: Belgium, Italy, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States - each bringing their unique background, experience, and point of view to the course.
The students each chose one work that they made on the course to share in the film screening, resulting in an array of films exploring themes as diverse as birdwatching, the collective strength and resilience of women, the non-binary gaze, post-truth and reality on the Internet, and 17th and 18th century art.
The installations set up across the venue at Studio Wayne McGregor showcased a selection of pieces created over the course of the programme, in response to tasks and assignments. Some were completed films; some sketches and experiments.

I love arts, but this super expensive MA programs are really loosing the reality connection.
