As someone who can confirm this. Any loud random noise can trigger it. You have to learn to live with it. If i have any random loud noise happen when im not expecting it. I get extremely cranked up, like ready for a fight at any second. You just gotta talk yourself thru it. Thats all you can do.

Not to be a deek here, but this is why fireworks are involved - to mimick the sounds of battle so we remember to cost to build this Republic

I still have ptsd from my crack head neighbor knocking on my door every day in the middle of the night. I use to live in the ghetto and had a neighbor who would knock on my door in the middle of the night and on my window where I slept. I refused to answer so the next day he knocked again and when I didn’t answer he proceeded to try and kick my door down. Luckily I had a door jammer in place. I called the office and after a lengthy rap sheet of complaints later, this one took the cake. The dumb-dumb got evicted that same day and made threats to me and my wife. So we moved out to a nice area and paid more money. Best decision ever. So now everytime we hear an unexpected knock at the door, I tremble. PTSD is no joke.

Ptsd is just an excuse to justify an unreasonable response based on past experiences. Maybe we should reward those that went through the same experience but don’t claim ptsd. They haven’t become a burden based on their feelings. Get over it, or dwell on it. But don’t expect others to always make exceptions for the weak. It will only make us all weaker.

Look at the old videos of world war I soldiers experiencing being "shell shocked". This is where the term PTSD originated from. This should give you a clear understanding of how not fake it is. Unreasonable response? Who are you to say something like this?

With PTSD this does not effect me, however I know some whom it does affect, and they make preparations to combat this. To demand everyone else stop or go somewhere else is wrong. You (the effected) should go somewhere else or make preparations in-house to combat this. Near the end, this guy called it "evil" which is way off base, in my opinion.

Some people setting off fireworks dont know better but most firework users are selfish douchebags who dont care about anyone else.
