- Can Tho City is also known as Tay Do. This is the center of the Mekong Delta. We introduce about beauty and top of favorite places to traveling in Can Tho in the video. For both group tours and independent tours.
#1. Cai Rang Floating Market - Can Tho is the first place of the day. If you want to visit, you should go from 5:00am. You will see a new day starting bustlingly. Buying and selling on the river, from one boat to another. You can also enjoy food right on the boat or at floating restaurants. Fruits and local agricultural products are favorite shopping options. #2. Binh Thuy Ancient House: This is the ancient house of the Duong family, built in 1870. The architecture of the house and antiques will surprise you. It can be considered the house of the richest person at that time. The house has appeared in many famous movies in Vietnam and the world. I will have a longer video to introduce the house and movies. They have contributed to the happy music of the culture here.
#3. Khmer Pothisomron Pagoda: This is an ancient pagoda built in 1735. The architecture of the pagoda is modeled after the architecture of Indian countries. The pagoda is next to a poetic river, with the sound of the wind and the leaves of the Bodhi tree blending together. It is so peaceful.
#4. Can Tho Museum: If you are interested in culture, Can Tho Museum is the place for you. You can see a simulation of hundreds of years of life in the Mekong Delta. How people build houses, dress, fish, grow rice, trade, and perform arts. You can also see development about culture, life and economy over the past hundreds of years. Archaeology will show of the extinct Phu Nam Dynasty and the Oc Eo civilization from the 1st to the 5th century.
#5. Ninh Kieu Wharf: The beauty and symbol of Can Tho. If you don't go to Ninh Kieu, you can't call it a trip to Can Tho. According to Le, Ninh Kieu is most beautiful at sunset and at night. The food and drinks here are wonderful.
#6. Also Son Island is a good suggestion. However, Le and Dano have been to many islands in Ben Tre, we prioritize the above locations.

Wow, so much to see and do around Can Tho. I noticed that since the pandemic, the floating market is much smaller and with far less produce. A far as i know this is the last example of floating markets left in Southern VN. Hopefully it gets the support of the government to keep going and build back up to the size it was in days gone by thus helping the farmers, the businesses that rely on this, and the local economy. I was amazed at the intricate carving in Binh Thuy Ancient House, I wish I had the time, creativity and skill to do something like that. You are right Le, Ninh Kieu is most beautiful at sunset and at night, walking along the board walk beside the river looked epic.
