- Tan Lap floating village is a 138-hectare primeval cajuput forest on a swampy area. When you come here, you can experience fishing, rowing a three-leaf boat, or rent a large boat to sightsee. You can walk on a floating road about 5km long. At the end of the road is a vast lotus lake. I was very surprised when exploring Tan Lap floating village from above. You can use a flycam or stand on the hotel terrace. The rows of trees can live in flooded forests, between the canals forming a spiral shape. Very beautiful.
The cuisine here looks very beautiful. The rustic dishes are made from local fish, eels, shrimp, crabs... You can also fish and send them to the restaurant for processing. Vegetables and flowers from the garden here are beautiful and colorful for dishes such as: young lotus shoots, lotus seeds, deep pink lotus buds, yellow sesban flowers...
I spent a night at Tan Lap floating village. This is one of my favorite places in the Mekong Delta tour. Very peaceful. Warm morning with a delicious cup of coffee. Warm and sparkling sunlight. Before my eyes was a forest bursting with life, in the golden sunlight and the gradually fading mist.
