i'm a goth guy and i wear a belt i made with numerous miniature skulls on them. after watching this video just for the hell of it i decided to try this melted plastic trick on a miniature skull and it worked! i melted the plastic with a lighter and i used pens instead of paint but colored it much like you did and though tiny it came out great!!! thank you so much for the ideas!!!!

Awesome stuff. The technique you used to blacken the body wasn't too different from a technique in painting miniatures called "dry brushing". Everything here looks like it was really easy to follow. Thanks for the great tutorial!

Damn that looks pretty freaking real. Real enough for someone to freak out and call the cops on you I’m just saying you might get someone out there that will think you actually burned someone at the stake.

ohh my you did a very realistic job..... I have a local thief who would love to steal that from my yard... Last yr. he took a window display of a skeleton sitting on a toilet reading a news paper.. Creepy thing is it was attached to my front door...

I wouldn't be surprised if Hollywood F/X people use the same methods, I have myself in the past used that insulation stuff for some F/X on a Decapitated dummy I had on my front porch it looked really good, once it expanded I used a sharp blade and then trimmed, it really paid of then threw some red paint and a meaty decapitation, like you said when "STUFF" sets up it can be very fleshy looking .

Ok, now that Ive watched this...OMG I love it!! It came out so cool! And wow, I forgot all about the old Dollar Tree painters plastic melting corpse trick!! Its one of the FIRST tutorials I EVER followed on YT...the Mummified Dollar Tree mini skeleton fairy specimen I think it was...you had put wires onto the skeleton to make wings with the plastic film, then shrunk it and I think we added Polymer clay devil horns and even bits of kids play wigs for hair!! Then we mounted it on a frame! I still have mine, but I have to re-glue one of the horns on, but have to bake up a new horn, lol! I dont know how it fell off and got lost, but it did! I suspect someone touched it to "see" what it was, but won't admit it, lol!
That was my first one from this chnl and I've made many more since! Love the chnl, love the ease of the materials used and that its all easy to find stuff that doesnt break the bank! BUT the BEST part?? Eduardo explains things in such an easy going manner and makes it very simple....straight to the point with no unnecessary jibber or overly confusing explanations, so before you even buy the stuff, you're already confident you CAN actually do this one!!!! Even someone who cant draw a stick figure without people thinking the dog drew it, can make a pretty convincing re-painted doll head to look like Pennywise! Cant wait to get me a Skeleton and give this one a whirl! I already have all the other stuff! I actually make fake bread and cupcakes with Great Stuff...its, well, Great stuff! SUPER sticky though! Lol, as soon as you said smear it with your hands, even with gloves I thought Ewww, its SOOO sticky! LOL!
Thanks for posting another amazing one!! =)
