My dad was born 1916 in Port Hope. He did something during late 30's early 40's. Apparently he had unauthorized leaves from somewhere to visit my mom and sister.
We are loyalists, parents purchased property from a Sinclair circa 45, pretty sure uncle with fire department and fire truck in yard, torched farmhouse in 64. Aunt & uncle built home next door to grandmothers.
The forgotten hero in the success of Camp X was a man from London Ontario named Pat Bayly - Pat was second in command to William Stephson and was fundamentally responsible for International communication intelligence and cryptography. Pats story in this part of our Canadian history is remarkable yet barely acknowledged when Camp X is talked about.

Many years ago I used to ride my bicycle down to the Camp X site, play games, hangout on the beach swimming and catching a tan. I knew the significance of where I was as my Grandfather was in the Army rotating between Bowmanville POW Camp to the Farm as a sentry/guard. I believe there is still one original barracks from the Camp still existing. You can feel the intrinsic veil of secrecy to this day. Most do not know that the Rombic Antenna was still being used until the mid 1980's. Obviously Hydra was long gone by that time, updated/replaced over the decades before digital came along. So much history must be remembered, lest we make the same horrible mistakes again!
Let's talk about expected outcomes from behavioral responses. How many U turns do the Canadians make? Is it a habit? How long is the habit? Did the Canadians that had been directed the U turn have children? Did they have money? Is it a country for just not French ones? Does America have a U turn too. You are going to address Canadian issues and problems or Change the name of your LOGO FLAG. Period. So I will cut your funding. I can. Just did.

At CFSMI while on crse they teach a few classes about the history of CampX. Did a trip there on my way home.

There was a prisoner of war camp in Bowmanville holding germams...maybe he worked there?
