The post office is a very abusive environment. If you are a good person they do everything to destroy your core being. The amount of games that carriers and managers play on CCA's is ridiculous. Was a CCA for 12 months then made regular and quit after 2 months due to having massive leg cramps and problems walking...I had a day off and they took it away...I took the day off and returned the next morning and quit. I was out of work for 2 months and got bored so I returned as a PSE in a new office. Most managers seem to have personality disorders from my experience and knowledge. No matter how much you work they still want more. I would never recommend to anyone to work at the post office unless you have no life outside of work or you have no other options. The post office is a cross between a mental asylum and a 6th grade playground.
Spot on brother. PSE's got screwed just as bad as CCA's and rural carrier assistants in the POD I was in. Never two days off in row, always jumping around to shitty shifts, never had a Sunday morning off and usually, I worked Saturday mornings or I had that shitty 4pm-??? Saturday evening shit shift. At least I didn't get farmed out to the other offices that ran short on people because I was at the largest one in POD. Everyone hated except for a few maniacs who I think had personality disorders and seemed to always be talking to themselves. It was a good day when I finally quit that shit show.
it's been 7 months since i quit and i won't ever forget about how bad it was. i was a cca for 3 months. worst job ive ever had. it's basically 60 hours a week of abuse. shitty weather and time constraints made it hard. most of the time i didnt even take a lunch. i knew that if i even had to make a stop to use the nearest bathroom, i wouldn't make it back to the office in time. i felt like a slave.
I was a CCA in a great office. They "forgot" to pay me for my training of 4 days. I tried it for awhile, then went back to school to become a paramedic.
@@debraburrows8435 ALWAYS check your pay stubs and record your clock rings in a notebook everyday. Out of all my pay periods, I would say 80% of my pay was less than it should have been.
CCAs are definitely abused like no other job I have ever worked at...and i worked food service and retail prior to this. The lack of respect for the personal lives of CCAs is amazing...until you realize that most of the "old guard" regular carriers rely on the CCAs to pick up their slack. Don't get me wrong, there are MANY regular carriers who bust ass every single day, are great people, and give good advice. But regulars have rights we don't have as CCAs. A CCA is technically a non-career, part-time position that only guarantees 20 hours a week but in actuality results in a consistently 60 hour work week. No surprise that over 60% of CCAs quit before making regular. Regulars do one route. I have many routes completely memorized (I could write out every single address in exact sequence and provide names for many of the addresses), I do these routes hours faster than the regular carriers, and have better accuracy. Sometimes I wonder why i do this but it is something i am good at and that I really enjoy (yes, delivering mail makes me happy) but the upper management has no clue what we actually do and keep making the most infantile, incompetent directives, which means there are many situations where I am put into a positiom where I either have to disobey rules, or do my job. Somebody needs to clean house at USPS upper management.
With the RCAs is just as bad, I'm glad I left, my stress disappeared. I actually loved my job, but I had to use my own car to deliver mail and I was spending a lot of money out of my own paycheck trying to maintain it. In the end it wasn't worth commuting 6 days a week, just to wear down my car and my mental health.
I converted to regular city carrier over a year ago in Los Angeles District. One word I can describe management. “Toxic” I’m just trying to save up as much as I can & invest my money so I can leave that toxic job for good.
I hope your dad gets better and I’m soooo sorry that the post office was so cold regarding your situation. But on the other hand I believe in you and your creative skills! You could definitely run your own business on or offline! I believe in you sis ❤️
I've been out of the post office for about a good year I was a CCA for 4 months and it was dreadful.Very surprised at how disorganized it was at the top but they expect you to be organized how ironic! I went through one stretch where I worked 14 days straight without a day off and that was brutal. I realize why the pay is good cause that's how you lure people in but pay is not enough of a reason to stick around if your being treated like dirt...its so much turnover in the post office in general that it's not even funny. Maybe they could keep more people around longer if they didn't work people into the ground so much not treat people like animals and make you feel like they want you there and not make you feel like another number that's easily replaceable. Bottomline I feel like management doesn't put you in a situation where you can succeed rather you get set up for failure right from the get-go.Thought about applying for PSE but I said the hell with it and just chose to go to another organization.I feel so blessed to be at the gig I'm at now its 7AM to 3PM with alternate weekends it pays less money but worth the sacrifice it's not stressful and managers treat you with respect and dignity plus I feel like I have more balance cause I can work a full day and still have a life outside of work!
I feel ya Kid Lightning, people don't understand that though. All they gotta do is CHANGE the damn work-week schedule. Have people work Mon-Thur, 8-10 hours (be off Fri, Sat, Sun). Have another group of people work Fri, Sat, Sun 8-10 hours (that group would be off Mon-Thur. They don't f*cking realize that not EVERYBODY has to work a 40 hr. week. Let the people with seniority work the Mon-Thur shift and the new people (CCA's) can work the Fri-Sun shift ($17-something an hour is STILL good money if you get 30 hours a week). They're whole system is failing. When they get tired of hiring people cause folks keep quitting they will come up with a new scheduling system so everybody is not burnt out!
I worked at the station for almost a year. Hated it hated the coworkers , the mangers, and dumb ass customers. I work the plant hate that too. Only difference is you can get away with more. They will act like doing 8hrs is wrong and its leaving early. They want you to do 10 minimum and 12 max. I leave after 8 and do ot when I want. Definitely the worst work environment I been in
they work you as a casual and take forever to make you a regular; it's disgusting. was at the p.o. for five years and they never made me a regular even though i was taking postal exam after postal exam. i saw what was happening..b/s was happening.
I work at the post office. I fell in March and 2 months later I’m missing work because my back and hip is hurting me like crazy.. they don’t want to understand your concerns all they care about is pushing mail out. No cushion job here unless you want you’re once good body out of whack and devious people doing everything they can to destroy you...
Ummm who brings the tax refunds? Who delivers your Amazon orders? Meds, beds, and lets not forget the stimulus checks all while in the midst of a pandemic. You’re welcome.
Tevin Collier love it ! You’re inside, don’t have to deal with the weather, dogs, walking up on random ppl. Think of Santa’s elves lol we get sacks ready to stations to deliver.
Man I have 60 days and let me tell you I am ready to fucking quit too it’s so amazingly insanely crazy the amazing of fucking hours you work I just had enough and everyone calls in and end up getting 3 more hours of work and people that have never worked at the post office u might think oh it’s just 3 hours no bitch try delivering mail plus political mail ads plus a gazillion packages which there is no system for other than bitch u better remember what packages u have for certain streets !
Gregorio Martinez Do you know about the Load truck feature? If you go to the main screen on the scanner and press L it gives you a number and then the lowest numbers are your first stop. I think the number correlated to the stop in the route.
Get out of that job. RCA's got screwed worse in the POD I worked in more than any other employees. They were constantly looking for people to take those jobs and no one would do it. Most of them only got to work on Sundays 7am-11am, sometimes shorter. They would get called in at the last minute if someone called off and that was usually on the most miserable weather days.
@@bretts5571 My office loves the phrase “RCAs don’t have a scheduled day off”. Only way to get a day off and keep it is to refuse to acknowledge any phone calls from management when you get a unscheduled and even then the threats start rolling out
Omg I just quit my job working as a mail handler at the post office. Management and this one lady who was a regular worker kept BULLYING me and treating me like the problematic angry black woman ! Then they played VICTIM when I attempted to speak up and basically were saying to shutup, take their abuse, and do my job. After this one manager claimed I was treating him like the bad guy and told me to just go do my job and this one lady told me to leave if I don’t like it here I was DONE. By the way, I ended up going on breaks late because the supervisor of my area didn’t care and forgot about me. I had a micro manager where I worked watching my EVERY MOVE and I had to tell one person I was using the restroom every time I went to the bathroom. I been there for 2 weeks as a Casual Mail Handler. also got hurt at the job multiple times but I didn’t say anything because they preached about safety and were basically saying it’s your fault if you get hurt. Fortunately I got an email that I have an interview today. I’m not going back. I QUIT! I also run an online business so I only worked at the post office so I can make extra work.
dang most of us don't even take our breaks where we work because there's not enough time. i usually get back after 5 with no breaks and they tell me i'm too slow. i WISH i had time to do my laundry lol. you're right though, they don't care about the employees at all... my experience working as a cashier sucked but the managers at least acknowledged me as a person. you made the right choice and i hope your dad is okay! loved the video and i'm gonna have to start a list with this for just in case i quit and need to feel better about my decision.
They tell you be safe out there but the real true is that you can die or lose your life because as long as the mail gets there. They push you so hard and them fucking mailbox are so full, you can’t even put mails in there. Nonsense!!
I was a MHA for 2 years they treated me the same way. I was ready to quit then one of the regulars talked me into applying for maintenance so I did, passed the test and interview process and now I’m better off there’s no drama in maintenance and I became a regular as soon as I started plus more money
I’ve been with the PO for 16 years .... good and bad like any job . Great thing is we have union to file a grievance procedure. I was a mail handler for 7 years and now on maintenance going on 9 years . I am extremely great full for my salary and benefits . No supervisor’s were not always the best . But every job has issues. I’m blessed to be able to provide a substantial salary to support my family as well as lots of benefits .
If you're called in the office and there is discipline involved (like management is threatening to fire you), you should ask for a union steward immediately. That's if you want to stay, of course. Management wants to make it seem that CCAs are not eligible for FMLA leave but that is not true.
Well Stewart are a pain in the ass too, I tried to move from office (station) because I was hating the way supervisor and manager were treating me and the stewart says that will not going to happen because I dont go to work to be treated ok I go to work to work and clock out. The last thing they did to me was removing my only day off because I called sick that week.
I love my job as RCA. I case my route while listening to worship music, load up and go. I work with about 40 other carriers. We all get along very well. It's sometimes too hot but I have a/c in my own vehicle I bought. I do work everyday including Sunday. But as long as I get enough rest and eat right it's all good. I get paid vacations and sick days. Management just leaves us alone.
@@jaclynwright4069 depends on where you work...what town. Some make regular RCA in a couple years. Some take 7 years. You don't get real benefits til you're regular. Yes regulars have their same route everyday. Starting new RCAs are subs.
I was a cca for three mouths and they fired me everywhere I went, I am turning my badge in on Monday 12/16/18 that job made me sick when I saw a mail truck and every time I punched in or when I saw management they don't care about you.
@@caribenariena3442 YES!!! I can confirm that we had an Indian guy and boy did the Postmaster treated him like garbage, and from what I heard from other carriers I heard some possible racism was involved. I wasn't there so I wouldn't know 100%.
I been a letter carrier for three years now. (2 of them as a regular). One thing I can say is all offices aren’t created equal. Some are nightmares and some are great. I started in a nightmare office and quit right away then applied for another office closer to my house and loved it. Being a CCA definitely isn’t easy, lucky for me I got converted with in a year. As a CCA you can’t work more then 6 days in a row so saying they can work you 365 is misguided and if anyone is getting worked that much you can file a grievance cuz they’re not allowed to. Anyway I’m glad I stuck it out and now enjoying that regular carrier life lol. If anyone has any questions about the job hmu.
Natasha Williams maybe I will. If you’re thinking about hiring or are starting soon don’t let the comments on the internet discourage you. You have to remember these are all people who quit so they’re obviously going to talk bad about it. I don’t think the job is for everyone but it’s not as bad as they make it seem.
Ash Ketchum as a cca this job is all mental. People are too entitled and I hear a lot of complaining. If you have a good attitude and work ethic you will get a good response from your work environment. Not for the weak!
@Dee I they can do whatever they want if the carrier doesn’t push back. I’m pretty sure it’s 7 in a row or in that area where they are required to give you a day off. I mean only offices in shambles would need ccas to work all 7 days anyway
CCA's and PSE's next to Temp. and Holiday Help employees are the most abused employees at the USPS. I took a job at the USPS as a clerk assistant just because I lost my job and I didn't feel like applying for unemployment at the time. I thought; "Ahhh....I'll try the post office, seems like a good place to work, I know a lot of people who have worked there, two of my friends work there, one hates it, the other is just short of hating it, but it can't be "that" bad...." Holy Crap! Did I miss the mark. I couldn't believe how shitty people got treated, how shitty they were to each other, the blood hatred between the clerks, the carriers and maintenance people plus how absolutely terrible the supervision was. After two weeks I was almost embarrassed to tell people i was working there. The work was not very hard in the least bit and it didn't take a rocket scientist to learn anything about the job. What's the hardest damn thing to learn? How to scan shit, how to throw parcels in bins, how to put shit in PO boxes, how to push around carts???? Nothing was heavier than maybe, 80 lbs. Time management was the key and you could easily get your work done if you just applied yourself and your co-workers worked well with you. On that point: IF, they worked with you. A few of the clerks were very good team players who would pitch in where needed but a few of them were just useless shit bags who made themselves look busy instead of helping with the morning Amazon, although they had time to do it, they just didn't want to. But then again, when supervision doesn't show up until after 8am., pretty much all the heavy work was done by then so basically, the inmates were running the prison from 4am-8am with no one to tell anyone to "Go help them out." There was seldom a chance at getting a full time career job and there always a need for CCA's, matter of fact, they were short 4 of them when I quit. I was asked if I was interested in a CCA job and I just about pissed myself laughing. My shitty indoor clerk assistant job was bad enough let alone stumble around on a different route every morning. I never quit a job without having another job lined up, but when I have the USPS the Ole "Fuck You", I didn't care at all how they felt about it and I walked out the door with a smile on my face. Its a shame that such a great place to work and such a great employer to work for turned into such a pile of shit. I know because I've known people my whole life who worked for the USPS and I only heard good things about it. Not anymore.
I SWEAR you sound like me! I currently work for the government and it’s the same thing with them. The people behind the scenes always make it hard for everyone. I’m so creative however I need the money to fund my creativity so I work. I hope you find what you’re looking for. I will be quoting my job as soon as another job hires me 😂
I was in the same situation as you, they threatened to fire me, they said "this may not be the company for you", "we are an organization that's supposed to help each other", at that point after returning I handed over my badge and key and said "I want to resign". I was using my own car to deliver mail out of my vehicle and I was already spending more than half of my paycheck on car parts alone. So at that moment I left I felt more at peace, it's a tough job, not for everyone. You know that using your talent is actually a good start to getting a business rolling, I'd recommend reading up some books on business and entrepreneurship.
I worked as a CCA for 5 months. OT everyday (minimum 10 hours) no breaks unrealistic expectations, constant disrespect, I could go on. However, I was told I was being removed after a traffic incident while OTC. Then they asked me to resign so I could be rehired, I WOULD NEVER! But still I resigned and its been months and I still have yet to receive my AL(annual leave) pay which they have to give, looking into getting a lawyer at this point. Wouldn't recommend this "career" to even my worst enemy. JS...
They never paid me for orientation. Said I didn't have an EIN number. However, they would have allowed me to work without one. I resigned before I started the job. They never finger printed me, no drug test. Did not give me an option as to what hours were. Just told me if I didn't like the hours I could resign. They are refusing to pay me for orientation I attended for 3 days, even though I should get paid. I'm afraid to take another job with them because the may not pay me for the driving academy.
The thing is everyone was a cca and had to do the bullshit... Bottom line is if u don't like it and don't want to make regular then leave... I tell ppl it is 2 years of hell but once u make regular u r set. A pay raise, retirement, health insurance, paid holidays and 2 days off a week.... That is pretty damn good for no college education... It's worth fighting through the 2 years ppl. I'm telling u.
Wow, I wish you the best of luck, young lady, and now that it's been 2 years I hope it all went well for you, and continues to get better. I worked for the USPS, and I was forced, by myself, b/c I just could not do the job any more, and it was a tough decision, and something I am dealing with right now. Being out of work is tough, but having a severe knee issue and limping badly helped me make the decision to retire 3 years before the standard 30. I'm almost 60, and still limp, and the doctors have no idea why. Both X-Rays and MRI's show nothing serious, so I just hope and pray I can support myself b/c the bills are piling up b/c my retirement is not enough, and disability would be hard without a doctor's approval. But, best of luck to you.
Don’t quit…like most things in life it takes around 10 years to master things! It’s the middle of August and I’m at $55,000 gross pay. I own a home and have a paid off car. You work now so that you can retire early as possible with no debt and a pension, thrift savings and social security Imagine having all of that at as early as 56 years old?!!
I worked for USPS last year. Glad I left I was a pse for 3 weeks. Got horribly ill and couldn’t come back but glad I didn’t. The workers all had horrible attitude, rude, didn’t care to help. Management sucked at the post office I was at. They claim I didn’t work hard enough during the holidays. Over all I went back to my old employer and happier now.
1st and foremost, hope your dad gets well. Second, a lot of managers have that type of mentality "business is business" and they'll have no problem replacing someone. And it even says in applications/paperwork that they can fire you without any reason(sad but true). It's pretty messed up how you were given an ultimatum, but it's not surprising. Karma will get them for sure.
Management THINKS they can fire you for any reason, but that's why we have a carriers' union. The union has gotten CCAs their jobs back in several cases that I've seen. One of them even got back pay for the month he was taken off the payroll. I'd love to get "fired" and sent home by management: it would amount to a paid vacation. Lots of us carriers dream of that scenario.
@@jeffw1267 yeah, but that wasn't the issue my problem was that I got tired of choosing between my dad and work. My dad and my personal life would always come first.
Lord I wish you would have talked to me before you quit. Not sure if you made your probation, but the Union would grieved them even putting you in that position of asking you to quit. I remember when I was a TE and a 204b who was only a 204b because she was hurt, going to try to get in my head and say, “This job isn’t for everyone”…I’m thinking, “You’re not even carrying your route so I know it’s not for everyone” The reason why I didn’t quit is because it was the most money I’ve ever made in my life so I wasn’t going anywhere. Being at the post office I met other veteran that showed me how to get my disability, now I’m getting an additional check every month that I probably never would have gotten without being here. Now I’ve had horrible days and wanted to quit, but someone and somethings always kept me here. I’ve been regular since 2014 so I couldn’t be laid off if they wanted to…if I’m placed on emergency placement I’m going to get paid anyway because I’m a veteran…anyway, I wish you the best in life
The post office is not a employee friendly place to work. I was mandated to work when my dad died instead of allowing me to have bereavement time. Once the public is aware of the stress the postal service have their employees under the less the public will support the system they are based on. The job pays well but it kills your inner spirit. It will make the best worker the laziest worker.
As a CCA you don't have rights, they can use anything against you just to fire you. RCA you have rights, but it is relatively the same treatment. I left as a result, it wasn't for me.
Josue Rodriguez it was hard. I had a 12 mile walking route, I even had pieces of other routes most days on top of that horrible route. And with them having a shortage on staff, most of the time I only got Sunday’s off. I stuck with it for 2 years, but I’m glad I left. I took a small pay cut working with Fedex but I have my peace of mind back, and I get my weekends off.😂
I’ve been working at the post office for 5 years 4 as a carrier and 1 as custodian and I can say I’m fed up! Over it your right they don’t want you to have a life don’t care about family nothing smh! I’m debating if I’m going to call it quits or not soon
@@lady2abossplus576 I personally worked there twice, was fired hired again different station/position then fired/asked to resign after traffic violation while OTC (speeding). Still not working so that part sucks, this was back in Nov '21. I'll say take care of your body and mind though cause my physical body will never be the same.
I quit! I left this week. I was there from 2015-2019 as a PSE. Loved it but they were the same age as me and wasn’t about to retire. I traded crafts from 2019-2022 to a CCA and I was bullied, overworked, and abused. I had a medical condition that required me to go to a cancer center for a massive surgery. They accused me of lying and making it up. I hemorrhage one day due to walking about 8-13 miles daily. I was in the hospital and was written up for it. You’re not allowed to be sick, have a flat tire, take care of your kids, or go to a funeral. The work environment was hostile due to the supervisor/postmaster. I filed EEOC, called Postal Inspectors, and The Department of Labor. Im glad I left. I never saw my family. I worked six days a week for at least 10-12 hours for 2 years. They ran me within a 50 miles radius to cover call ins too. I made PTF and was next in line to be regular. No way was I staying in that office to be regular. I feel so free I left that toxic environment&prison. Don’t count on the union. I paid dues just be ignored and not represented. Don’t apply at USPS unless you are single, don’t have a personal life, and don’t like your family. It’s the perfect job if you’re there to make money and be treated like a robot. Good luck! 👍
They set you up! The man you spoke to (I’m not sure of his title) but I guarantee you there was a discussion with “others” that’s most likely why you were moved from one station to another. I’m sorry , I’m a 15 year carrier that has been black balled and treated like shit for I’m sorry for16 years! You DID THE RIGHT THING! This place is a trashy plantation !!! I don’t have the BALLS to leave ..... just yet! I’m proud of you! I wish you the best! And believe me if you had chosen the job.... IT WOULD HAVE ONLY GOTTEN WORSE! They would have felt they had you by the ovaries and the threats & possibly eventual firing would have happened anyway. And if you wanna hear about your name being dragged through the mud ... get fired..... congrats on your journey! Greatness is waiting
I got hired on in 2012 as a casual overnight mail handling for 6 months then got rehired as a CCA in early 2013 and was a CCA for 13 months working my tail off all the time and them made regular august 2014 and have been working here since and it has gone so far downhill since I’ve started our station only has 2 CCAs if that and I’m getting really tired of this job I’m thinking about quitting. It’s really hard to beat $24/hour pay but it’s looking like I might have to suck it up 🤷🏽♂️
Thank you for sharing your story. It is so unfortunate that the post office has no work/life balance. It cannot be sustainable. How many days off did you get per week on average? Were you working six days a week?
Yeah, the supervisors were promoted internally -- which means they aren't professionally qualified to be leaders. They're just the ones who stuck it out long enough to watch their bosses retire. Very unprofessional and stressful. I got mines under investigation right now. They cut my hours. Lol. Third week as a CCA coming up. Good thing I spent first 151 days as a collector. I'm not in my probation no more.
I don't see myself working for the post office more than 4 years. I'm not a person to work outside in any weather but I need this job to sell my house and finish school so I'll try to stick it out.
I better stay at my current job, I got an interview Tuesday for CCA holiday term if they not going to work with my current job schedule I'll look for a new part time job
Sadly that is the case with basically ALL jobs. They have to have bodies there working. When your dad started to get sick, I would've resigned right then. Jobs can't be overly empathetic toward employees, if that was the case so many people wouldn't come. Best thing to do if you (not you but ppl in general) want a company to be more empathetic towards your personal life, you'll have to work for a very small business, self employed or some sort of contract job. But any other job won't be able to cater to your needs they still have a business to run. I hope ii didn't sound rude. But this is more so directed to younger people search USPS jobs on youtube and stumbled across this one.
Mickey I was making more due to the fact I was there for a while but the money was gooooooodt 1600 2000 checks but nah.. I’m good on that company they’re all corrupt.
shayshaycabana I’m making about that not sure if it’s because of where I am or what. Plus I only have one day off. I always hear the CCAs complaining and I could never do it. It’s too much. I see why you hated it. Plus it sucks that it takes so long for you guys to become regulars. I’m almost a regular and I haven’t been there a year.
shayshaycabana and they didn’t give you a set schedule as a regular?! That’s INSANE sorry you went through that. Should’ve filed a grievance on their asses. Problem is too many people at the post office have no life and expect the same from you
Yo'! I'm in my second week of CCA. But here's the catch. I spent my 90-day probation as a USPS collector at the main plant. I asked to switch to a station to carry mail. WTF was I thinking? Might can't stand me because they can't treat me like a newbie. 8 days as a CCA and I'm already filing my first grievance against mngmt tomorrow. I'm at war with my station. Only thing keeping me motivated is my goal for the next 6 paychecks. After 6 more pay periods, I might resign, but I'd rather stay and give'em hell. Lol.
They just laid us off even though we weren’t holiday but 360 pse . They lied to us and put on our paperwork that we were 360 pse but really treated us like holiday . I’m so mad cause I had gotten an apartment and everything now o have to scramble for ANOTHER JOB!!! I’m so mad !!!!! Never apply from the end of aug through November u will be a holiday pse no matter what the paperwork says .
WOW! I am so sorry that happened to you.. most likely within a month they will call you back. But yes if you apply during that time you will be treated as holiday.
Understand you wanting to take care of your dad but business is business.A doctor or nurse should be doing the primary care of your father until he gets better and you be there when you get off.No other family members were able to help?
2 people can survive.1 is me who dgaf come to work to get paid not be friends and never let mgrs or anyone talk to me crazy and have my route and paperwork in order. The other is the asskissers with dirt on management some stealing some providing sexual favors just to get the same check we gettin lol.If you know how to hustle you wouldve known that 10k you saved up at the end of the year is money to start a business.I made a quarter mill extra since i started workin for the post office.Utilize your income to chase your dreams
U will have no life !!!!!! I have almost 60 days and it’s just so crazy the amount of hours you work I usually work 10 hours everyday 6 days a week the amount of packages you have to deliver is insane as well cuz u have to remember and there’s no system for it it’s all a mind game ! And on sundays for amazon delivery they take advantage of you u come back after you finished ur own route to come back and take 4-5 more hours of work cuz someone called in or people quit it’s so frustrating all I can think of is how stressed I am I swear I even start crying randomly cuz I’m like is this really worth it ?
But I dont think all postal offices are like that you might have had a bad experience on your second transfer office I currently applied 😬here in California I have no work experience of doing that all my life I worked picking grapes at the fields ..... do they train you ? @DENICE LOVES yes thats how much i paid but i called back and got my refund back but then i checked on google says its required to pay the fee for the test materials i think its different from every state im in California
@DENICE LOVES you can always go to your local post office and ask one of the workers how to apply or can apply at usps.com but would be better if you go and ask just to be sure what you need to apply

If one lives in Texas it's like the USPS twilight zone. Many times I've had a package take longer to get from one town to another here deep in the heart of Texas than from China all the way through US customs. Unbelievable!

The post office isn’t for everyone, sorry you had a rough go at it but you threw away a career a lot of people would love to have right now. In the pandemic guess who’s job is secure? Speaking of job security, do you know how hard it is to actually fire a mail carrier after their 90 days? Very, they need a paper trail a mile long or you have to commit a actual felony for them to even consider it. Management can threaten you all they want but nothing said to you without a union rep present matters and even then it’s VERY hard to fire mail carriers. Word to the wise, never up and quit any job, let them fire you and collect unemployment while you job hunt you only save the company a check when you walk out empty handed and pride don’t pay bills.
I am a current employee and the SHACKLES of the UNION AGREEMENT are what making me thinking of walking away. I want a RIGHT to WORK and the FLEXIBILITY of moving to a different position.

The most accurate description I have ever read
I worked 4 weeks
They try cheat me on training pay
And after taxes you basically work some days for free if you do the math
They constantly over work their employees until they break and its really sad cause nothing gets done about it.
How long did it take you to get the PSE job after resigning?
it's been 7 months since i quit and i won't ever forget about how bad it was. i was a cca for 3 months. worst job ive ever had. it's basically 60 hours a week of abuse. shitty weather and time constraints made it hard. most of the time i didnt even take a lunch. i knew that if i even had to make a stop to use the nearest bathroom, i wouldn't make it back to the office in time. i felt like a slave.
Sounds illegal
I was a CCA in a great office. They "forgot" to pay me for my training of 4 days. I tried it for awhile, then went back to school to become a paramedic.
They didn't pay me for orientation either. Gave certain folks EIN numbers so they could get paid. Never received an EIN number that was a red flag.
MiriamAfloat your right!
I Agree with you
I. Was a regular rural and had the best subs

Same for an RCA- I don’t know how much more I can take. 🙄

Get a better job girl. CCAs and RCAs have no lives.
All the offices around here are short handed,
Rcas are working pretty much everyday. You are not guaranteed a day off
@@bretts5571 My office loves the phrase “RCAs don’t have a scheduled day off”.
I agree but I have bills to pay. These people are the worst. No empathy or sympathy AT ALL
dang most of us don't even take our breaks where we work because there's not enough time. i usually get back after 5 with no breaks and they tell me i'm too slow. i WISH i had time to do my laundry lol. you're right though, they don't care about the employees at all... my experience working as a cashier sucked but the managers at least acknowledged me as a person. you made the right choice and i hope your dad is okay! loved the video and i'm gonna have to start a list with this for just in case i quit and need to feel better about my decision.
same here.
You should take your break, they don't pay for that 30 minutes extra you working.
Is that what the job's called? Maintenance?
I heard you can make regular in a year as a mha. I'm back now as a mha the supervisors there irritating.
Callista Wilkie my position is maintenance mechanic and I’m a level 7
king khi they’re the worst that’s why I had to get out of there, and if that’s true then they’re gonna make it harder on ppl to make it a year
I’ve been with the PO for 16 years .... good and bad like any job .
Do a video please
Natasha Williams maybe I will. If you’re thinking about hiring or are starting soon don’t let the comments on the internet discourage you. You have to remember these are all people who quit so they’re obviously going to talk bad about it. I don’t think the job is for everyone but it’s not as bad as they make it seem.
Ash Ketchum as a cca this job is all mental. People are too entitled and I hear a lot of complaining. If you have a good attitude and work ethic you will get a good response from your work environment. Not for the weak!
Can a ARC get on full time as a regular?
Everyone is all about themselves here, so them saying that is a load of horse shit.
Good luck to you, I'm a mail carrier for 4 yrs and I definitely feel you

Karma will get them for sure.
antoine fields it’s sickening actually. Thank you so much he’s doing much better.

The reason why I didn’t quit is because it was the most money I’ve ever made in my life so I wasn’t going anywhere.

I took a small pay cut working with Fedex but I have my peace of mind back, and I get my weekends off.😂
YOU MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE!! YOU HAVE PLENTY OF TALENT!! GO FOR IT!!
Thank you so much!!
I’ve been working at the post office for 5 years 4 as a carrier and 1 as custodian and I can say I’m fed up! Over it your right they don’t want you to have a life don’t care about family nothing smh! I’m debating if I’m going to call it quits or not soon
Well do you still work there?
@@SexiiBree98 working my way out but scared to turn in the resignation papers
@@lady2abossplus576 I personally worked there twice, was fired hired again different station/position then fired/asked to resign after traffic violation while OTC (speeding). Still not working so that part sucks, this was back in Nov '21. I'll say take care of your body and mind though cause my physical body will never be the same.
@@SexiiBree98 nope and mind won’t smh it’s crazy and not worth it
It’s really hard to beat $24/hour pay but it’s looking like I might have to suck it up 🤷🏽♂️
Hope your dad gets better soon big hugs
Thats messed up. How they treated you. I just back on with them.as casual they treat you badly
Thank you for sharing your story. It is so unfortunate that the post office has no work/life balance. It cannot be sustainable. How many days off did you get per week on average? Were you working six days a week?
I worked everyday until I asked for a day off or called out.
@@shayshaycabana thank you.
She said wash her clothes and go to the bank LOL
Fairoz Zaragoza that was my favorite route had all the good food spots, my bank and the cheap laundromat 😂 that MF was just long asf.
Yeah that’s the overall attitude of management:/
Honorable Man they won’t. They don’t work with no schedules especially CCA!! Don’t even waste your time.
I’m there as a PSE and we get paid the same as you guys and it’s less stressful
Mickey I was making more due to the fact I was there for a while but the money was gooooooodt 1600 2000 checks but nah.. I’m good on that company they’re all corrupt.
shayshaycabana I’m making about that not sure if it’s because of where I am or what. Plus I only have one day off. I always hear the CCAs complaining and I could never do it. It’s too much. I see why you hated it. Plus it sucks that it takes so long for you guys to become regulars. I’m almost a regular and I haven’t been there a year.
Mickey I got lucky I became a regular quick that job sucks!!
shayshaycabana and they didn’t give you a set schedule as a regular?! That’s INSANE sorry you went through that. Should’ve filed a grievance on their asses. Problem is too many people at the post office have no life and expect the same from you
Lmao I got was a cca carrier but quit to become a pse Clerk now I’m stacking checks to buy property. I also work for amazon part time
This video blessed tf outta me
Lol.
Its. The coldest place to work..The mentality of the post office Will destroy people
They just laid us off even though we weren’t holiday but 360 pse .
GIRL im so over this fuckin job i want out but im like 6 months from making regular But i Miss my stay at home mom life 🤦🏻♀️😭
Keep going, you need the money to retire on.
How much were you being paid being a mail carrier or CCA and how often did you get paid?
Understand you wanting to take care of your dad but business is business.A doctor or nurse should be doing the primary care of your father until he gets better and you be there when you get off.No other family members were able to help?
These 9-5 is slavery im telling you
You are delusional lol 9-5 is a easy day
Arhs Stams he’s being funny but it’s 9-5 everyday dummy
More like 9 to 8pm
2 people can survive.1 is me who dgaf come to work to get paid not be friends and never let mgrs or anyone talk to me crazy and have my route and paperwork in order. The other is the asskissers with dirt on management some stealing some providing sexual favors just to get the same check we gettin lol.If you know how to hustle you wouldve known that 10k you saved up at the end of the year is money to start a business.I made a quarter mill extra since i started workin for the post office.Utilize your income to chase your dreams
That's what I'm doing now since I'm back home. I'm working on my own shit with web design.
I been CCA over 60 days , it’s shit job , I have to work over 80 hours a week, not fair , no life, I have no time with my children
I'm deciding whether i should decline it or not. I have toddler age children and I'm affraid this job wont give me no time with them.
I have no time with my children, my old son always asked me are you work today, oh no, feel bad 😔
Karina Lemus it wont give you time for your kids at all. Management does not care
The intro is bomb Hunniii! 👏🏾
livelifeZEN aww thank you
But I dont think all postal offices are like that you might have had a bad experience on your second transfer office I currently applied 😬here in California I have no work experience of doing that all my life I worked picking grapes at the fields ..... do they train you ? When a starter like me applies for the job? I saw there resume they said they pay you when your training
@DENICE LOVES who?
@DENICE LOVES oh no i didnt apply anymore i thought i was bieng scammed lol.cuase i paid a fee and i asked here on UA-cam some people said theres no fees for taking the test
Gman 207 You never ever pay to apply for The Post Office job positions. I work for the Post Office and never had to pay to apply. I think you got scammed! Did you try www.usps.gov?
Dam i was a order picker for Koger working 13hr a day lifting 25 to 50 LB a day so this shit nothing to me
I'm in the offer phase right now so we'll see if I get hired, whether the experience is good or bad, I'll be sure to make a funny cartoon about it and post it on channel! Good video though! It really put things into perspective... Seems like the bigger the organization, the bigger the cluster fuck it is!
Been there for 4 years and I’m still not regular 🤦🏾♀️
I got lucky after a year I became regular I still hated.
I was a ptf for 8 years then finally made regular in 2015. It was pure hell being a ptf. Good luck to you!!
I feel you been a pse clerk for four years I'm about to become a MhA soon I rather start over then continue to wait 🤦
So you’re a part time ?
Mr Blasian mha
I've been waiting for you to do a video.. But I'm glad you back 👑😘😍
45 yaya I know I been so busy working at this stupid job now I have free time
Etsy shorty! Hell yea I hope you did it. I build furniture and I do Fire Sticks.
If one lives in Texas it's like the USPS twilight zone. Many times I've had a package take longer to get from one town to another here deep in the heart of Texas than from China all the way through US customs. Unbelievable!
You could have gotten fmla. I did and they couldn’t do anything about it. Get notice from your dad’s doctor and file with hr
Not everyone is eligible for FMLA...at the USPS you have to have worked a minimum of 1250 hours in the previous 12 months.
I know you can do anything you set you mind to.
Didn't they micromanage you via the scanner?
No not back then they do now
Trust me I feel u I started in 2010 at 18 yrs old before cca we were called casuals lol no rights nothing but I know how to move threw the system 12 yrs later here I am still but now full time journey was hard af not for everybody I’ve had so many relationship problems because of this job lol
Heavy on the not for everybody...
I feel like such a failure. It's my 7th day and I want to quit. I don't like it.
It sucks working there i just started they make you work holidays the day of day before work 10 days in a row if i get a day off i an told 1 hour before coming in i have no home life feet hurt back hurt i was told they would get me a satchel of my own 1 month ago still don't have one its hell working here they tell you everyday go faster faster faster is very very hard laboris job the supervisors don't care about you as you're just a man or woman to push the mail out no lunch breaks they don't care about you is their bottom line so yes i will be leaving the post office soon and i don't understand what others enjoy about the job you work 6 days a week no life
If a person has a restraining order for verbal abuse can you still be eligable to work for Usps?...
Da SamuRai I don’t think so but I’ll apply and see what happens
GREAT SERVICE. I HAD A GOOD P.O. BOX IN 2011. THANKS
I really respect her
The post office isn’t for everyone, sorry you had a rough go at it but you threw away a career a lot of people would love to have right now.
Kiss your life goodbye working at the Post Office.
Because the job sucks! Period
I am a current employee and the SHACKLES of the UNION AGREEMENT are what making me thinking of walking away. I want a RIGHT to WORK and the FLEXIBILITY of moving to a different position.
Super at PO I go to mail things at is one BBBBBB....not to mention, mail people write off they delivered something but didn't...
The worse job ever but they pay good but it ain’t for me lol
You can be a Uber and Lyft drive you can be your own boss👍👍👍👍👍
Diamond Jozwiak I am too paranoid for that lol
shayshaycabana Yea I’m with strangers
My husband was just told he would only get one day a week. Is this true
Mostly likely it’ll happen sometimes not every week unless he’s a regular
It had to be done ! You will find your place sis. 😍
Did you utilize your union or Human Resources?
You definitely can't just do whatever you want.

Great Job Sis ! Fuck A Job. Be Your Own Person. !
Can you do a video on building a bookcase?
Ahhh don't quit. Make them fire you.
You got my man Michael on that's enough for me!!!
You could have got FMLA and took care of your dad and kept your job without harassment.
Lol I've been watching too much rust videos. When you were sipping from your blue cup your eyes moved like they do on rust
I heard being a CCA is the worst
That CCA life is ROUGH AF!!! Glad ima regular now, i still be over worked tho
Is the money good ?? How much checks are every 2 weeks ?
@Lakia S damn
Lots of employees abuse the time off
