I believe people is struggling with range for Evo 2 due to the RC antennas position...
Several videos on UA-cam show people is positioning antenna pointing to the sky, which is completely wrong.
In your video here we can see you have the perfect position for the antennas, which is pointing almost down but the surface of signal directed perfectly to the drone position...

Glad I made the decision to get me the Evo II Pro. I knew in January which Drone I would be getting after reading up on all the specs of the drones that were supposed to be released this year.

I don't see any of the drone/gimbal movement issues that were directed at the Evo 2 when I came out a year ago. They were almost entirely Mavic users so I think it was a matter of just trying to smear the competition. The video looks gorgeous and is clearly very smooth. Thanks

Good Job DAD. I'm so jealous that I haven't received my 6k pro yet. Not sure what the hold up is. Maybe next time that you talk to Autel you could ask them for me when they are due to ship. I am third on the list at Empire Drone and they last heard that MAYBE sometime this week. We've heard that before. LOL
That went well. I think your showed that it went as far, without any problems, as most anyone should be taking these drones. The test is to show you can control it at a ‘good’ distance, not that you go so far that you are no longer in control.
And as for City flying. I think it would go a lot further than most might thing, if y have good line of sight, but you should not be going that far in the city anyway. Way to many chances of something happening where someone could get hurt.
Thanks for the show, and yeah, I think you will be enjoying a great bird for a long while. I am sure that Autel will be improving the firmware for a while as they add and improve features.
I would not say that there is nothing wrong with this drone, but that it is definitely a well made, and great flying drone.

That was nice. Yeah I stopped buying DJI products and I’ve been using the first Evo for about a year and a half now with no issues. Trust me many people been having DJI issues like, fly away and not able to control the drone and all it did was fly away and disconnected the image transmission from controller and not return to home. DJI just have bad customer service and none of the Mavic have 60fps. I’m just waiting to see more reviews on the Evo2 before I make my purchase and no DJI for me no more. Thankyou for a good review.
Absolutely gorgeous scenery, I love it! I haven't got into the larger drones yet due to drone restrictions in Canada. I was fortunate enough to get my DJI Mini 1 out 7214m/23,668 feet using a 8x parayagi combination and spotters but had to land 1200 feet short of my home point because the wind changed direction. I didn't loose signal once during the flight and was flying at an altitude of 50m/165 feet

I actually fly substations all the time for a living and have never had an issue with either Autel or DJI drones.

Hey there, I'm curious but can you tell me the best position for your antenna on remote? You had remarkable range yet mine, at juat 1600 meters gave me "weak video signal, adjust antenna" errors. Appreciate insight.
Both antennas need to be down, with the raised area on the antenna pointing towards the drone. I actually covered this issue on one of my videos. ua-cam.com/video/pe149AhfGJU/v-deo.html

Air 2 requires a cell phone or tablet, while the Air2S can work with a dedicated controller. I'd go Air2S (I own an Air2 but am considering an upgrade). We just bought the Autel EvoII w/RTK and one reason was the dedicated controller.
Such a beautiful area! I’ve never flew out that far. Basically because I’m in a lot of mountains and there’s just no way I’d need to or would want to. Afraid of loosing my drone. But yeah! Absolutely beautiful area you have there! Also I just subbed! Thought I was already subbed to you because I watch your content so much. But I’m legit now lol. Awesome flight my man!

Dad Random not even that far for me lol. Great video though. I could sense a little bit of nerves when you were wayyyyyy out there. Crazy thing is you could of pushed it farther. Your spotters would be wore out trying to chase that thing down especially when it never stops 😂

Superb range test, and the scenery Is beautiful just over 3.4 miles achieved amazing. I’ve accomplished 6.5 miles so far with my phantom 4 pro V2.0.

Are you selling the air 2s? Air 2s is still king. I like the size of the Autel Nano. I would love to fly the 6k Autel bird. The lite Plus is the best drone they have, but an Evo 2 6k pro “can’t go wrong” I will be flying the DJI mini 3 soon. I was an early buyer and cancelled, then purchased again. Waiting…….. the mini 3 may have some issues. I would wait, until the pro controller is ironed out. The old controller may still be best… sorry, I can’t tell you yet. I am certainly frustrated about delivery of the mini 3 🫠

+Eric Bishop i am going to investigate reaching the area from the North. Lots of trails/roads. If I had a side by side atv, I could get there, but I need to hike and drive within 1 or 2 Miles. I will play with the maps as the weather cools this fall. I may have missed the window.

Dad Random 90 already!! Here in sunny FL we’ve been very lucky with low 80’s and 70’s in the morning and evening. Just been really windy for drone flights!! Too bad you don’t know someone with an ATV or something to get you close! I can’t wait to see what you come up with when you finally get to film it!! So hv a question I hope you can answer. Do you think it’s worth it to wait for the 1” sensor on the 6k pro or does the 8k do the job? Also how much better do you think it is from the Evo1? Thx I appreciate your vids and input!! While I like the scenery, I find it much more helpful to be watching the telemetry screen. I like to see how the AC is performing. It also looks like this flying app is a pale comparison to even the DJI Mavic Air 2 app. Or is it me?
I will show more. It’s definitely less complex than the GO4 or Fly Ap. It’s tracking is good, but DJI is still the king.
I think DJI will release a 6 or 8k drone next year - I love the clarity on the Autel Evo Drones - liked video 👍

Impressive. I have an Evo 1 - been a trooper. Does not get this range. But, my uses do not need this extreme range. So, there may be utility for me on the range capabilities. Considering an upgrade to the EVO 2 Pro as I do a lot of still photo work with the drone.
The platform is solid, but I am concerned about the arm flex and lockout. Also reports of body cracks. The camera is probably the best I’ve seen. Still and video both right out of the box. Upgrade on the controller is another issue. Overall, the form factor is amazing. So is the flight experience.

Thanks for the vid. Posting content like this takes guts. I appreciate it. But I'm thinking, if you're out that far - why not test that range and take it all the way? That's what I wanted to see. You had a good signal and power in reserve.
My view on range, I test what the drone should be used for and reserve power is super important. Because of wind and other flying considerations, I try to show restraint in case I am challenged by the FAA. I need to keep my flying area safe. I stay aware of the entire flight area, especially with these infrequent test flights. So…that’s why.
How does it compare to the Mavic two pro?? It looks awesome to me! Is it louder or quieter than the Mavic two pro?

+The Urban Artist EVO 2 because it’s range and only if the EVO is the PRO model 1 inch. The controller has a screen and the drone flys 35 minutes.

Is this the Autel Evo ii with the 8K Camera which although it says it records 8K videos its only at 25 fps. Or this the Professional 6K Camera which is the only one to have the 1-inch 20 MP sensor capable of shooting 5.5K video at 60 fps and 4K video at 120 fps? Quite a difference in price to.

Hi,I would like to change the distance limit but I am not more than 500m?
+Richard BROCK I always punch up the limits, but the software is slowly adjusting to the flight restrictions in your area. Good thing and bad thing. GPS quads are going to be software restricted by law. So best to fly within those parameters. Fly safe and fly the conditions. If the conditions allow for long distances safely, not over people or restricted areas, then push it. I suggest getting close to your subject, instead of the long range risk. This hypes for altitude as well😎👌🏻

I flew my Mavic 1 that far, did not range test my Mavic 2. I am amazed at 5km aren’t you?
