Great test! Nice to see the improvements. Only item that I noticed was that the obstacle avoidance in follow mode (dynamic track) is very abrupt and not cinematic looking. That is an easy fix for Autel to tweak over the coming months.
This is the best demonstration of EVO 2 obstacle avoidance that I have seen so far. This clearly has more active sensors than Mavic series in all flying modes. The more I see of this orange drone the more I am impressed
Obstacle avoidance on mine actually failed mid of last year and support was not too helpful. I got an Air 2S later on and really enjoying its overall high performance.
Very impressive! Those sensors are a lot better than the ones on my Mavic 2 Pro. The more I see of this machine, the more I wish I had one. BUT my budget just won't allow for another drone right now.
This is an excellent demonstration and analysis. Extreme closeups of the device and narration are very helpful, outstanding. Thanks so much! Cheers, God bless.
This is outstanding. Big, robust, 8k, longer flight time, 360 degree obstical avoidance that works in every mode, especially in waypoint mode. This will be my next drone purchase as, sadly, I am droneless at present.
Exactly the vid I wanted to see right now, thanks! Next time though, when you have the EVOII near a chain link fence I'd love to see you check it more specifically against the chain link, and specifically not the poles that hold the chain link. It would be uberinformative to see you fly it toward the center of the chain-linked square farthest away from the fence poles to see how well it specifically avoids the actual chain link. Next test would be chicken wire... barbed wire... :D
Thank you, I have an EVO pro on preorder and these videos really help in determining what to expect. This video and the battery life video have been great.
The Dynamic Track is definitely better than Evo 1 and is great to see it raise and lower elevation for obstacles. Would like to see it track up an elevation. Maybe just add that in a future tracking video. Thanks for all the great content!

Excellent and TOTALLY relevent presentation! (Smoke filled forrest, corridors/rooms!) It SEEMS that it will not pass down a corridor (always climbs above your fence!) but this MAY only be because the top sensor is seeing no ceiling!? Visually, the sense and stop seems far more abrupt that necessary for the speed (and Kinetic Energy) of the craft BUT the video still looks quite reasonable due to the gimbal settings! Impressive 😎👍🆙‼️...subbed your channel. Thanks for sharing!
I’m liking what I see. Great review aldryn, when are they going to be available for the consumers to buy?
You can preorder now from various places. I ordered my Evo II rugged bundle from advexure.com and they told me they will get shipment tomorrow, March 16th. I'm thinking they will start going out to customers thereafter.
Awesome demonstration! I need to aave up for this drone...lol.
Excellent and TOTALLY relevent presentation!
Would love to see the (Mavic 2) Autel Evo 2 Enterprise Advanced Dual (with the Thermal camera on!) and see if the Tracking functions work with the Thermal sensor and what happens tracking; a)in clear air at night or in a building! b)in or through smoke! (Smoke filled forrest, corridors/rooms!)
It SEEMS that it will not pass down a corridor (always climbs above your fence!) but this MAY only be because the top sensor is seeing no ceiling!?
Visually, the sense and stop seems far more abrupt that necessary for the speed (and Kinetic Energy) of the craft BUT the video still looks quite reasonable due to the gimbal settings! (I watched several times!)
very good ,, success for you
Looking for more challenging dynamic track at Forest maybe would be nice
Yeah, I guess I saw you moving the stick to the oposite side before it hits the fence hahaha
Good review and test. Interesting at 7:07 there was an on screen message on the controller in Chinese.
