Only big criticisms are that the animation or Darwin getting impaled onto the tree by the Wendigo looked really goofy (like a piece of paper was slapped on the tree) as well as Richard and Nichole sinking into the ground in the backshot.

Holy this is amazing. It actually shows who killed them, where they were, and them talking about it. Then it shows gumball committing suicide. This is the best “the grieving” video I’ve seen. And the fact I saw Richard actually being a good parent was actually sad. Keep up the good work.
For those who don't know, the last clip from the actual show we see in the intro is Darwin recording himself singing a song about how everybody has a heart to the internet due to the insane amount of memes being made of his brother because of he accidentally posted a really goofy video of himself. (deadass) That everybody (with the exception of Lawyers, Zombies, and Jellyfish lmao) have a heart, and are actually good people deep down. That clip takes on an entirely different, much, much darker meaning in this video...
@@megamente7849 Darwin and Anais were killed by someone. Someone irredeemable. Someone who showed no regrets and treated it like a game. The frame of the parents looking down at the grave hit hard, especially with how well drawn it is, it makes it looks like a scene ripped straight from the show and it makes it hurt that much more. Great work.
This is sad, scary, but at the same time is an great video. I really loved that ending, and we finally get an idea of who could've killed Darwin and Anais. Great job on this video VibingLeaf! I can't wait to see more re-takes from you!
this remake of the grieving is far more disturbing than the original, and I love how you showed who actually killed Anias and Darwin because in the original creepypasta it just shows their bodies and doesn't really give much emphasis on who killed them, good job man :)
these retakes are better then almost the entirety of horror these days, you do an outstanding job in art, timing, ambience, everything really huge respect for being able to do something as good as this with old creepypastas that were barely scary to begin with, you have some pure skill
“Sometimes (people) don’t want to live anymore, and it can be for any reason.” “We couldn’t have prevented this, but we did what we could.” There’s a lot of comfort in these videos, despite them being depressing as hell. But I appreciate that they don’t patronize us. They’re upfront and honest, and acknowledge that sometimes things just happen to people that are out of your control. It’s like someone gently breaking the news of someone’s death to a child.
This is amazing, it actually has inspired me to do an retake as well, I started working on it, and I'm planning to full-on animate it as well, this is just so beautiful and wonderful, it's hard not to be inspired by it. Good job, I'm heavily touched with this, and amazed by the high quality. Good job, truly, I hope I won't put to shame with my own version and retake on this as well.
I can't believe we're actually living in a timeline where old internet creepyastas get the "Retro/Old Games Gets A Remake." Treatment/Principal.. And its all thanks to ya, Vibingleaf. I bet ya had a fun time remaking one of my favorite cartoon lost episodes. Really appreciate ya effort!
Yeah, honestly for how ridiculous and over-the-top they could be, we can't deny that they played a pretty big part in our internet history. I'm really glad that people still and will remember them years and years later Also VibingLeaf if you're reading this, I would kindly like to suggest NES Godzilla or Dead Bart for the next Creepypasta Re-take, or for something new like Kung Fu Panda maybe Cars or Amphibia (huge fan what can I say)
I wanna cry man, this was sad depressing to the point i almost cried this was just so sad it was breathtaking the grieving at the end was beautifully written and the look on their faces beautifully drawn, great work vibingleaf! To anyone that lost a loved one remember this how would they want you to go through life would they want you too cry over them, and think of the past so you can suffer? No! They would want the best for you, they would want you to be happy and move on. remember that!
Yeah, this is creppy but to be honest, the ending not only was sad it was heartbreaking yet also heartwarming, like I feel as a Gumball fan, Nicole and Richard act like cartoons but they always stay together on the important moments and in this one, Nicole sees how the innocence and joy that Richard has always be caring, it's completley gone due to this tragedy and probably making him realize that he could've been a better father instead of another child and the only ting that Nicole can do is just to tell him "Don't worry, we did great, it's gonna be okay". OMG, This is by far the best retake I've seen almost for this ending that really adds a lot. 😭😭
I really liked the ending, rather then it just end immediately after all the characters died, it sends semi-realistic, in grief. I am happy it ended with a, although depressing and grief filled, in a way comforting ending
I just came here from reading Valha's version of this, and this video is probably up there with some of my favorite creepypastas. Kudos to you and Valha. Keep up the great work :)
The "re-take" on old "lost episode" creepypasta with the analog horror format is like trying to take the old recipe of a "pasta" and recreate it with a new twist. VibingLeaf makes creepypasta stories great again!
I'm still in awe of the fact that Ben himself actually knows about this pasta and referenced it in the show. Almost to the point that I might believe he actually made something like that as a prank and just hid it really good.
actually amazing job. staying vague while still having eeriness and scare value. I have to say, i was not expecting darwin to be IMPALED BY A ROCK ONTO A TREE. The way you showed their deaths was amazing. and in the end, it even has a positive message. Sometimes, there really is nothing you could have done.
That was beautiful, the ending reminded me of red mist re-take's ending and how Darwin was torn off shows how much he was scared of dying and the fact that Anais is gone and how much gumball felt sad after his siblings' death and just ended it all, that monster was a good add to all of this since in the original it was unknown how they died except for gumball and maybe that was the only time Richard actually had a real feeling of sadness instead of getting sad over food and TV,that really showed that Richard has feelings towards his kids since in the show,he doesn't do anything about them and keeps getting them into trouble and Nicole's look at their kids' Graves shows that they really cared about them, that was a beautiful retake of this creepypasta and I hope your new projects become even better than this.
My favorite thing about these, aside from the much better production and execution than their original counterparts, is that you actually give these stories a fairly positive and moving moral/message, and therefore a purpose for being made aside from just "ooh edgy spooky kids show episode about characters dying"
You know… given that the Void exists. I imagine a continuation showing that what Corpse did. It was undone, Gumball, Darwin, Anais, they’re the protagonists of this show, it would be a mistake to have them be killed off, and surely it would be a mistake to let the thing who killed them go scot-free. So I could just very much imagine Corpse being sent to the void or worse, being the world’s cosmic punching bag suffering so many comical misfortunes that it’s driven to end itself and the world not bringing it back, only making everyone forget its existence
Imagine Rob though, even if he used to be a villain aka archenemy for them, I can imagine him trying to take his revenge like he used to before, but with the trio gone, he might not be able to so he tries to be the main character but it doesn't work, so what if he tried using that magic remote to somehow stop this from happening? Even a Rob VS Wendigo
imma keep this real and say this was definitely a BIG STEP UP from the red mist retake. i like how there is alot more animation with things. i like how you altered the story a little so it makes more since like how darwin and anais were killed. great retake 10/10
2:37 hearing the flies or bugs swarm Gumballs lifeless, hanging body was truly disturbing and sent chills down my spine and I almost gagged, nice work! (Edit: HOLY HECK!? TYSM 4 THIS MANY LIKES!!)
You did such an amazing job this Was super sad and creepy at the same time this is so well made (and it did make me cry lol) gumball looking at the old memories actually got me emotional and the ending too keep up the good work!❤
God, that ending made me tear up. I know it's just a silly 'scary' story about a kids show, but this scenario is actually real for some parents. I can't imagine how it feels to lose a child, especially in such a horrible way. Good job.
This is such an excellent work. Very detailed, just like the original one. Also Gumball hanging himself just popping out of nowhere legitimately caught me off guard. One of the best animations you uploaded including the Red Mist one.
One of the greatest remakes i’ve ever seen, i remember being so hyper fixated on this creepy pasta as a kid and now to see a video showing basically what i imagined the episode to look like is just surreal. keep up the great work ❤
That was great as always! I feel this could inspire in how creppypasta should be written, and how it could be represented and seen, which is an giant step for this type of internet content. Even that it creppypasta was week and bad at it start, still feels nostalgic to hear bad made horror stories and feel scared for then as children or pre-teens. But still it could be better and different then it was. That's when you came VibingLeaf. You really shows us an better way to construct creppypasta in a simple but different way. Thanks a lot...
can we just talk about corpse's aiming skills? if you can aim a wooden stake from far away and actually manage to impale someone's brain, you truthfully earned my respect (and fright)
Damn, it's very creepy, better than the original. It became scary watching it at three o'clock in the morning. A masterpiece. I apologize if there are mistakes in English, since I write through a translator, I am Russian.
I guess the lesson here is "grief takes time, its gonna be ok" which is a good message to people who lost someone. While the lesson on red mist (which i have trauma over) is "be good to the people around you." Even though spongebob was kind hearted, he antagonized squidward multiple times. These vids of the stories are being crafted in a real life lesson way while also improving on the originals, and I love it.
there is nothing their parents can do, but come to the graveyard and think about themselves. the fact that penny ran into the woods and lost her sanity because gumball didn't help her during the breakdown, is absolutely a sad ending. and the parents of gumball, darwin, and anais just sat there, meanwhile, the mother was saying to the father that he was doing amazing. man i really love your videos, but there is always a bad plot twist, why? also gumball made himself die, and it's even more sadder.
This was very amazing. Gumball was my favorite cartoon when I was a kid, and this take on "The Grieving" is really great, especially Richard and Nicole's conversation near the end; it was really emotional.
honestly your retakes are both really really good, engaging and scary while also kinda having a meaningful message for advice n stuff. Like it's sad that Richard and Nicole couldn't stop their kids from dying, but the speech from Nicole saying that "We couldn't have prevented this, but we did what we could for them, and I think we did a great job at being parents" is a really good message. Basically (at least what I think) saying that sure, some things you have no control of and that's okay, no one is to blame for an occurrence that you couldn't do anything about, all that matters is how good and supportive of a person you were for them, no matter if they're dead or alive.
I like how they showed Darwin and anais's killer, the wendigo, and I liked how they showed what was thrown at Darwin's head, instantaneously killing him
Nice job Vibingleaf, once again you did another fantastic job Okay not gonna lie, I did not expect Darwins death to be unironically cool asf. That launch of that steak was sudden and shocking at the same time Even the monster reveal, did not expect the Wendigo to be a thing but nontheless, creative asf AND THAT SCENE WITH NICOLE AND RICHARD OMFG. Just like with Spongebob and Patrick in Red Mist Retake its honestly kinda sad that we see the aftermath of it all and tbh its honestly such a great job. Also love the 3d mixed with 2d like the actual show did What you made is outstanding and better than the original. and I hope that whatever comes next, I hope that you'll be okay and safe. Your life matters the most than a creepypasta remake and thats important. Take care and hope you have a nice November
Amazing take on the grieving my man! I love how instead of gumball being the one that killed them it was a wendigo and how it shows gumballs declining mental state causing him to game over himself. However I have one little complaint. I kinda wish there was still a scene of Nicole and Richard finding out what happened to Darwin Anias and later Gumball like in the original creepypasta. However I would understand that it may look to similar to the red mist retake where SpongeBob discovered squidward. Overall this is an amazing take on the famous The amazing world of Gumball creepypasta and I cant wait to see what else you do!
Not often talked about but something that makes this creepier for me is the fact corpse actually looks like he could have been animated into gumball, he isn't overly detailed and is more or less a image of a deer skull over a black mass, I can see that shit appearing as a side or background character in a gumball horror episode
I genuinely like how this creepypasta would exist somewhere in Season 2 or anywhere where the series has started because in other forms of The Grieving's creepypastas would sometimes take place BEFORE the show's release which wouldn't make sense because if that was the case then Cartoon Network would've shut down the entire production after one Slip-Up. (I know I'm late with this, but I wanted to point this out)
How it went from seeing the trio be killed, to nicole and Richard grieving was such a spin around but, what nicole said to Richard after asking if they did good as a family was, very eye watering needless to say.
The thing I like about these videos, among great attention to detail and the overall unsettling atmosphere present throughout, is that everything ends on a somewhat positive note. Someone has to die a horrific death, of course, but the remaining few stick together and go through the loss together. Awesome work, never stop doing this.
This is something I wouldn’t expect, it’s such a good representation of this, and the surprise really did give me a surprise, beautiful, sad, incredible video, I love it.
vibingleaf does immaculate grieving scenes. His retakes on red mist and spongebob just shed a new, and almost motivational light, on what happens after the horror. 10/10
This may sound weird and is definitely random but what I like the most about this video was the shot of Nicole and Richard's reactions to their children's graves Richard is crying while Nicole isn't This does a good job of displaying their character Richard, being the more emotional guy compare to his wife, is obviously extremely heartbroken at their children's death and needs all the time he needs to grieve for them Meanwhile Nicole shows no tears because emotionally ( and physically ) , she's stronger than Richard Obviously, she's just as sad as he is but she'd probably already shed tears for their children when they first died, now during their funeral, she has to be strong emotionally for her husband and help him grieve through the tragedy that had occured And this, again, stay true to they actually act in the show, seeing how Richard gets emotional about the most miniscule things ( like when the family's fridge was getting replaced ) , while the most emotionally charged ( and serious ) moment Nicole ever had in the series was when her parents came to visit her and her family, which resulted in her arguing with her parents and them having a falling out If there are any grammatical errors, I will blame them on either auto correct or on my big ass thumbs Also, I'm not exactly good at written essays since I'm Vietnamese and writing essays in English is basically my weakness compare to other English skills so if this is confusing to read to you, let me know lol I really like this retake of an old ( and admittedly bad ) creepypasta, along with the Red Mist retake and many other creepypasta videos you've made so keep up the good work!
Dear God this is amazing. There are some parts that caught me off guard like Darwin's death and Gumball's death. And in the scene with gumball I thought I was hearing footsteps outside of the school until I realized it was flies, which means he's been dead for the entire NIGHT.
the old grieving: blue cat sits in dark room then orange fish body and small pink rabbit body are shown the end haha!! this grieving: In-depth analysis of how they all died while showing HOW they actually died (and their killer) then le sads conversation
I love the fact, that you made an emotional turn in the whole story. Not something trying to scare you like: AJBDVSHWJAJWA AUUGGGGHHHHHHH. But something that leaves you sad, and empty. Your re-take is better than original story.
i was not expecting a really sweet message about mourning and grief, but i was pleasantly surprised i was really just expecting it to be just everyone dying
I feel like when Darwin was stabbed, that is honestly just terrifying when your really think about it. The blood, the facial expressions just really stand out to you.
3:24 Nicole? Yes? Did we do great as a family? We did, Richard. We can’t do anything about this. But no one is to blame. What is most important is how we did for them… And I am sure we did amazing. We did what we could, honey. Take your time. It’s going to be okay.
These Retakes feels so real, that it's disturbing, yet beautiful. Gone are the days of creepypasta being horrific for the sake of being horrific, these have actual depth to them.

There’s a lot of comfort in these videos, despite them being depressing as hell. But I appreciate that they don’t patronize us. They’re upfront and honest, and acknowledge that sometimes things just happen to people that are out of your control. It’s like someone gently breaking the news of someone’s death to a child.

FRIES PFP?!?!?!?!

The original story wasn't cheap either. It's not like it had tonnes of jumpscares to make it scary
VibingLeaf makes creepypasta stories great again!
can’t get over the fact that most cartoony characters just come across these eldritch horrors or just grim situations, i just find it cool

The conversation between Nicole and Richard actually made me tear up, this was amazing. Good job.

actually amazing job. staying vague while still having eeriness and scare value.

@@glitchknight409 I know,I watched the video.
My favorite thing about these, aside from the much better production and execution than their original counterparts, is that you actually give these stories a fairly positive and moving moral/message, and therefore a purpose for being made aside from just "ooh edgy spooky kids show episode about characters dying"
I love how when you see Darwin something slowly comes at him blurred that’s how he gets stabbed to the tree 1:56

God, that ending made me tear up. I know it's just a silly 'scary' story about a kids show, but this scenario is actually real for some parents. I can't imagine how it feels to lose a child, especially in such a horrible way. Good job.
I forgot that TAWOG was a cartoon with 2D and 3D elements, so Darwin’s part really surprised me.
This is very well made, great job as always!
i love how this isn’t the average shock value grotesque creepy pasta, is actually has a sense of grief, and importance, it’s honestly amazing!
This is such an excellent work. Very detailed, just like the original one. Also Gumball hanging himself just popping out of nowhere legitimately caught me off guard. One of the best animations you uploaded including the Red Mist one.
One of the greatest remakes i’ve ever seen, i remember being so hyper fixated on this creepy pasta as a kid and now to see a video showing basically what i imagined the episode to look like is just surreal. keep up the great work ❤
This and the red mist re take are definitely the best takes on their respective creepypasta

Thank you for your remakes, they take me back to a nostalgic time when these stories would terrify me.
Its was nightmare fuel but the grief was surprisingly calm... Thanks vibing leaf
You make, by far, the darkest versions of creepypastas, and I absolutely LOVE it.
A amazing re-take on a classic creepypasta. I hope to see more of these re-takes in the future.
there is nothing their parents can do, but come to the graveyard and think about themselves. the fact that penny ran into the woods and lost her sanity because gumball didn't help her during the breakdown, is absolutely a sad ending.
and the parents of gumball, darwin, and anais just sat there, meanwhile, the mother was saying to the father that he was doing amazing.
man i really love your videos, but there is always a bad plot twist, why?
also gumball made himself die, and it's even more sadder.
I like how they showed Darwin and anais's killer, the wendigo, and I liked how they showed what was thrown at Darwin's head, instantaneously killing him
Honestly, the idea of the monster being a wendigo is pretty interesting
Nice job Vibingleaf, once again you did another fantastic job
Okay not gonna lie, I did not expect Darwins death to be unironically cool asf. That launch of that steak was sudden and shocking at the same time
Even the monster reveal, did not expect the Wendigo to be a thing but nontheless, creative asf
AND THAT SCENE WITH NICOLE AND RICHARD OMFG. Just like with Spongebob and Patrick in Red Mist Retake its honestly kinda sad that we see the aftermath of it all and tbh its honestly such a great job. Also love the 3d mixed with 2d like the actual show did
What you made is outstanding and better than the original. and I hope that whatever comes next, I hope that you'll be okay and safe. Your life matters the most than a creepypasta remake and thats important. Take care and hope you have a nice November

2:02 STRIKE!
I mean, there is some uncannily animated shit in the show. Well, take Rob as an example.
@@Gadiller-we7wl mhm, gumball has so many unique styles that this could reasonably be blended in
Considering there’s abominations like the creatures in the Forest of Doom and Sussie, it could be possible.
Darwin's and Anais's deaths was terrifying. And I LOVE IT
This is something I wouldn’t expect, it’s such a good representation of this, and the surprise really did give me a surprise, beautiful, sad, incredible video, I love it.
This is so much more terrifying the original. True horror right here
Ik
vibingleaf does immaculate grieving scenes. His retakes on red mist and spongebob just shed a new, and almost motivational light, on what happens after the horror. 10/10
This may sound weird and is definitely random but what I like the most about this video was the shot of Nicole and Richard's reactions to their children's graves
Richard is crying while Nicole isn't
This does a good job of displaying their character
Richard, being the more emotional guy compare to his wife, is obviously extremely heartbroken at their children's death and needs all the time he needs to grieve for them
Meanwhile Nicole shows no tears because emotionally ( and physically ) , she's stronger than Richard
Obviously, she's just as sad as he is but she'd probably already shed tears for their children when they first died, now during their funeral, she has to be strong emotionally for her husband and help him grieve through the tragedy that had occured
And this, again, stay true to they actually act in the show, seeing how Richard gets emotional about the most miniscule things ( like when the family's fridge was getting replaced ) , while the most emotionally charged ( and serious ) moment Nicole ever had in the series was when her parents came to visit her and her family, which resulted in her arguing with her parents and them having a falling out
If there are any grammatical errors, I will blame them on either auto correct or on my big ass thumbs
Also, I'm not exactly good at written essays since I'm Vietnamese and writing essays in English is basically my weakness compare to other English skills so if this is confusing to read to you, let me know lol
I really like this retake of an old ( and admittedly bad ) creepypasta, along with the Red Mist retake and many other creepypasta videos you've made so keep up the good work!
This has to be the best version of The Grieving to exist. Well done, VibingLeaf.
The Greif chapter was just heart wrenching. It tore me apart like the wendego did to anais. May their souls rest in peace...
Dear God this is amazing. There are some parts that caught me off guard like Darwin's death and Gumball's death. And in the scene with gumball I thought I was hearing footsteps outside of the school until I realized it was flies, which means he's been dead for the entire NIGHT.
