love the war with Lithuania (and to a lesser extent the other players in the lobby ) being kinda over cocky and Habibi proving them all wrong. Plus breaking the meta and showing that quantity is a good idea group when used right.
You fought the first war ve lithuania the same soviets did vs the Third Reich and Russia vs Napoleon, scorch the earth, give up cities and gather armies in the meantime, then lauch counter attack. Essentially utilizing the size of the country to buy time

@@aguy3664 the tactics they used were simply a more modern form of what happened in other wars. They couldn’t just give up all the land for free when they needed resources like oil to win in the future. They still burned down towns as the retreated but held up the Germans by not freely given land
The Soviets definitely wanted to hold the nazis back on the border, but Stalin was adamant they wouldn't attack so he ordered most of the Red Army to move off their fortifications on the old polish border to occupy unfortified eastern poland/western ukraine/bielorussia. THEN they got smashed and had to do a fighting retreat.

I always hear about how the endgame is terrible because of the sheer spam and micromanagement you have to do but nothing feels better than just completely overwhelming even megablob countries like the Ottomans or Russia, it's just so fun and that's why I actually always play to the end of the game
You should be a lot stronger by the time he reaches tech 10 plus you should have already attacked him before that since he has bad starting ideas for war and Lithuania would be AI PU

I understand it's just a game but I just don't enjoy playing with people who break their word. This is a diplomacy simulator and your dishonesty in one game makes you less trustworthy in all future ones.
