Best part about Kobalt is Lowes is always clearanceing the old thing to make shelf space for the new. Picked up a bunch of Kobalt when they needed space for craftsman.

Like my Kobalt, but I went XTR. The new 3rd gen is only 2-5% less in speed and torque than the XTR, but you get the bonus of the new features. Glad to see they've updated, and looks like they did a great job. And since I occasionally drill holes in steel electrical cabinets with unibits (holes for conduit), I wouldn't trade my XTR hammer drill for anything because of the anti kickback feature.

I just got the Kobalt 24v brushless weedeater/blower kit that came with a 4.0 mA battery as well for $161 after tax. ( in-store purchase) I love it no complaints. I will say if you’re gonna do a lot of blowing you might want to pick up an extra battery. Although the batteries are extremely efficient, the blower will suck the life out of your battery as any blower wheel😂 but Kobalt definitely has the best prices and bang for your buck, plus the warranty is almost unbeatable as well for the price point. I will continue my line with Kobalt and I will happily put it next to my Dewalt tools.

Kobalt is in my opinion on the high end of Prosumer grade tools. Better than Craftsman, but not quite DeWalt. A pro can use these tools on the job without much complaint, but a homeowner would find these tools to be best for their needs. I've always been impressed with Kobalt, but I've never taken the plunge. I found M12 to be best for the line of work I do, but I recently dabbled in Hercules brushless tools and am impressed with the power for size and features. Reminds me a lot of these Kobalt tools, but the Herc is 2200 in/lb of torque on speed 3 which really puts it in competition with Flex.

I own some of all the big name companies' cordless tools. Sure, most DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita etc.., are as good as it gets. But what I've learned is, that, for a lot less $$, Kobalt is as good in some cases and almost as good in most cases. I think Ryobi is trending that way now also. Regarding Kobalt, run the numbers on battery prices and, no major line can compete. Every time I buy even a Ryobi or Craftsman battery I think, that battery is more expensive than my Kobalt. I love just about all the major tool companies tools but, my shop is turning into a blue wave...

So far I'm loving them, but I'll definitely be picking up another battery. You can't beat these for the money, and I looked at everything from DeWalt, Bosch, Ridgid, Metibo, Milwalkee, all the Harbor Freight brands. To get a steel Jacobs chuck in a DeWalt drill, you're looking at least $60 more. These replaced my old DeWalt 18v that died, and I don't feel like it was a downgrade in any way. Definitely see me expanding my Kobalt 24v collection in the future.

I’m not saying you’re boring. But there’s a lesser degree of whimsy of joyfulness of just having fun on your channel that I personally sorely miss.
Just as an aside, and this may just be me, your recent love affair with Milwaukee has left a little bit of a bitter taste, but that’s my opinion.
Bring your crew back in, have some fun, exhibit some joy, and just entertain. You are clearly phenomenal at your job. But so are so many other shows. Been abusing kobalt 24v stuff for a while now. Might not have as much power as the red or yellow but it blows them away in durability and price

What do I think? I think I’m picking one up next week for Father’s Day because the impact is on sale and gives the right angle impact wrench for FREE!!! 🎉Do I need another impact driver? Nope but just watch me buy it anyway!

One man says "substantial", another says "overweight and high fatigue". I also don't like the light on the base, which I don't get, given the parent company also makes the halo light on Skil drivers.

Feels substantial like it's meant for buisness... that's what it feels like to hold Makitas double cut shears in the hands, especially in comparison to Milwaukees or DeWalts.

Kobalt it hitting touchdowns with this new 24 volt line. Better scoop them up before they grow in popularity and prices go up. They remind me of how Milwaukee used to be. I'm still a Milwaukee fanboy but you know what I mean. Milwaukee is top notch but not as inexpensive as they used to be. And their lower line is not the quality of Kobalt. Still if I'm spending big money it's going to Milwaukee.
