Another great episode! -- QUESTION -- Can you put closed cell into our Sprinter Van build? I have head that it can't be done as it may warp the metal as it expands into the joints but I am guessing that you could do it by spraying into the joints and letting it expand and then spraying the open wall spaces. Any thoughts as this would otherwise be the very best insulation for a van build.

Yes it can be done. Go slow, build the foam up in thin layers to avoid too much heat and warp.

Thanks Mike, you’ve responded pretty fast to my radon question pretty fast!
What do I say if my local Foam installer doesn’t know if this is a viable solution to stopping radon and doesn’t want to guarantee that it would… I suspect it’s a lack of information about his product performance capabilities or what not!
How much is to low of a crawl space to installing CCF? Is 3-4ft to low to work with? Thanks

Most major suppliers of SPF are aware of radon control.
Height-wise you need 4' to do a decent job. 3' can work when in a pinch.

Interior is great for all seasons. But do the outside if the timing works.

Foam does not stick to poly and the sheet product would lift right off.
