Within the two working days before settlement of your order please what if the price of that shares you sold drops. Will it affect the amount you were expecting?
Basically it means that the transaction is processing and once the process is complete it will land in the wallet or account and can be used. Some transactions require one or more business days to be completed.
First of all bambo sells with a higher exchange rate which is quite understandable. They also charge a fee for depositing money into your bambo account (hmmm) also quite understandable. When when buying stock, they charge a commission, also understandable.
Now what I think is unfair, is Charging ANOTHER commission when someone wants to sell their stock, plus also selling at a lower transfer rate, then charging ANOTHER fee when the person wants to withdraw their money, Plus the amount of days it gets to your account🚩🚩🚩 I think it’s very selfish of them honestly. The charges are too much.
They are looking out for themselves more than they are looking out for their users. Moving forward I think they should have to sacrifice their 2nd commission, and also the withdrawal fee. The fact that a user withdraws their money at a lower exchange rate, which could possibly be $10 dollars lower than it was bought, is already enough charging from bambo. Or they could go vice versa, charge a 2nd commission, charge a withdrawal fee and sacrifice the lower exchange rate. IMO 🤷🏾♂️ phew 😅 needed to let that out
I think bamboo av already received the gain that I see den during investing I think bamboo should do something about that. Tito I need ur proof of ur credit alert here in naija maybe u should do d video and can wait to see it
It’s that selling at a lower exchange rate that I don’t like. Woulda been nice if it’s a uniform rate that you buy & sell at. But the truth is I think the other dollar investment apps do the same as well.

When you deposit at a slightly higher rate, commission when you buy, commission when you sell and transfer at a lower exchange rate. But at the end of the day they are a business and they have bills to pay especially to the different regulators and bodies involved in the process while still remaining profitable as well. It’s a bit of a catch 22.
Hi Abisoye. For now I don’t think you can invest in index funds on Bamboo (please check to confirm) but you can invest in ETFs (Equity traded funds). They’re similar but the main difference is that while ETFs can be traded throughout the day like stocks, index funds can be bought and sold only for the price set at the end of the trading day. Also, not every index fund has an ETF version. For instance if there’s a particular Energy sector Index fund you’re interested in you might not find an exact ETF version of it. But asides that their differences are minor.

Hello Emmanuel. (I just replied on IG but I’ll reply here also for the benefit of others.) I believe there’s and answer to this question in the FAQs section on the Bamboo app and maybe also the website. If I remember correctly the deposits and withdrawals in currencies other than the Naira attract heavier charges. Have a look on the Bamboo app.
By doing a transfer. On the app click on 'account' in the bottom right and then click on 'deposit' and enter how much you want to deposit then pick the method you want to use to fund your wallet.
Considering when this video was made and the buying (495$) and selling (459$) exchange rate, you will most likely run at a lost thinking your are selling at profit, if care is not taking.
Well the CBN has unfrozen their accounts and those of the others affected so for now I’ll say it is BUT we live in Nigeria so who’s to say there won’t be new issues next week, next month or next year. Every investment has a level of risk associated and at the end of the day the choice is yours. Ask your close friends who use Bamboo if they recommend you use it to invest. All the best. 👍🏽🚀

Hi Tito, apologies if this is a stupid question but does this mean that if you have a dollar account from which you buy the stock, then it may cost you less since there's no currency exchange?
It’s not a silly question. I’m not too sure to be honest but while the person may avoid the exchange rate charges they’ll still be charged on purchases, sales and transferring to their Dollar account. And if you recall in the video I said they charge N45 to transfer to a Naira account but $45 to transfer to a dollar account. So by and large those dollar fees tend to be high I think. You can check Invest Bamboo’s FAQs page for a more thorough answer.
