A Thousand Miles lyrics:
INTRO: 0:49
VERSE 1: 3:46
Makin' my way downtown
Walkin' fast, faces pass
And I'm homebound
Starin' blankly ahead
Just makin' my way
Makin' a way through the crowd
PRE-CHORUS 1: 5:58
And I need you
And I miss you
And now I wonder
CHORUS 1: 7:43
If I could fall into the sky
Do you think time would pass me by?
'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles
If I could just see you
Tonight
POST-CHORUS 1:
VERSE 2:
It's always times like these when I think of you
And I wonder if you ever think of me
'Cause everything's so wrong, and I don't belong
Livin' in your precious memory
PRE-CHORUS 2:
Cause I'll need you
And I'll miss you
And now I wonder
CHORUS 2:
If I could fall into the sky
Do you think time would pass me by?
Oh, 'cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles
If I could just see you
Tonight
POST-CHORUS 2: 10:08
BRIDGE: 11:28
I, I don't wanna let you know
I, I drown in your memory
I, I don't wanna let this go
I, I don't
VERSE 3:
Makin' my way downtown
Walkin' fast, faces pass
And I'm homebound
Starin' blankly ahead
Just makin' my way
Makin' a way through the crowd
PRE-CHORUS 3:
And I still need you
I still miss you
And now I wonder
CHORUS 3:
If I could fall into the sky
Do you think time would pass us by?
'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles
If I could just see you
CHORUS 4 / OUTRO: 13:02
If I could fall into the sky
Do you think time would pass me by?
'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles
If I could just see you
If I could just hold you
Tonight

How are u not more popular… ur so much better than all of the big tutorial channels.
Thank you :) I get asked that a lot!
Agree
True!
Totally agree
Yeahhh right
My teacher recommend this song for finger excercise and the way you explain part by part is really helpful, thanks a lot!!
You're very welcome!
I'm only a beginner , at the moment this is a very long way off for me but I must say you are an excellent teacher, beautiful voice too.
Many thanks
it took me a whole day to learn just the 1st part lol ... and by learn, I mean understanding the keys to press and the timing they need to be pressed... all I need to do now is to execute them, at the right speed, with both hands, but will try and practice it tomorrow because my right hand no longer listens to me anymore 😂😂😂
thank you for this tutorial ☺
Your new subscriber...
Keep it up! 😊
It is difficult lol
The same with me! XD
I don't really know why but so many tutorials that I found are so unnecessarily complex. Thank you for putting together something that just shows what is literally played in the song. This is wonderful.
You're very welcome, pleased it's helped! :)
You are the beat of the BEST... learning the song somewhere in Africa.. I'm so grateful for the tutorial...keep the fire burning
this tutorial was 2 years ago and up until today I'm still watching this🥀
This is seriously the best tutorial!!! Thanks so much for putting it up. You're a great teacher! I learned this song in two months which is a feat since I'm a beginner!
I've seen a lot of tutorials and this is just incomparable to any of them. Thanks a ton, Francesca!
You're very welcome!
Learnt this in one day and I have minimal piano experience! Elaborate tutorial that’s easy to follow. Thank you so much! 🎹💕
Glad it helped! :)
So amazing.Thanks.
Great tutorial.... it is great to see the piano accompaniment.
THANK YOUUU, PLEASE CONTINUE WHAT YOU ARE DOING! LOVE LOTS 💖💖💖💖
Thank youuuuu 🙏 so fast!

You're very welcome! :)
Agree!
M'y end of class IS gonna bé soooo good
Thankyou for this one its times like this that I am glad I learnt all 12 scales
I absolutely love this tutorial.... It seems like a difficult song at first to learn but because you have done this in sections. It makes it way easier.
Very clear - thank you so much! This made the tune very quick and easy to learn. I wish I could sing it in this key but I'm having to transpose it down a major 3rd for my voice. I needed some faster tunes for my solo gigs and this is perfect for the places I play. I will keep an eye out for your tutorials in the future because trying to buy sheet music for pop tunes seems silly, and they are usually wrong anyway.
That video relly really helped me in doing this song in this time of pandemic bc I have nothing to do so I am learning a thousand miles bc it really inspired me to play the piano again. Thank you so much I really appreciated this!! 🤗
I remember few months ago when I watched my kpop boy [Haechan of NCT] play this and i was like "damn i want to play it too" even tho i cant play a single song in the piano but look at me now, I can finally play A thousand miles [tho i need to practice a lil bit more so i can perfect it] and it is all thanks to you, Madam. Thank you for this tutorial, it helps me A LOT. You are a blessing to beginners like me who cant afford proper piano lessons 😂
Very nice, thank you!
Thank you for this tutorial:) It was easy to follow and it took me about one week to play it completely!!
How is she not popular yet? Ok The best thing i like in this video and content is you can't be so sure if she's really covering the song or not, it's just so original and she's pretty good at teaching unlike other channel let me ask this again
HOW ARE YOU NOT SO POPULAR?!
This IS the best video for this song. Subscribed and will watch others!
Thanks for posting!
Very understanding and clear
Bless you! You teach wonderfully. ❤
I've been playing for 20 years and been wanting to learn just the intro 😀 ended up watching the whole thing lol, I don't read sheet music 😬 and this was more fun than figuring it out myself! Nice tutorial 👌🏻 and you sound really sweet too! 🙂
I have really enjoyed learning the piano with you, Thank you so much ❤️

This is a really good tutorial. Thanks very much. I've been able to lock in all of the notes for the whole song and now its just a case if putting left and right hand together and practicing the timing. Thanks!
Glad it helped!
Not a piano piano player but this is mesmerizing, love it!
Merci beaucoup. I'm only a beginner, but I stumbled across this song again, and this will be one of the first I will learn. I came across a video which said that Chopin said C Major was the hardest scale for a beginner to learn since there are no landmarks. He started his students on B Major, then Gb Major and Db Major. He showed that the black keys match exactly the hand and it shouldn't be something to be scared of. So I had some practice on the B scale, and now I am motivated. This is a great tutorial. I've subbed to your channel and appreciate the efforts you have made.
I don't agree with that at all. When I teach scales, I also teach the theory behind them. I feel that asking a complete beginner to navigate between the black and white keys is trickier, as well as explaining WHY B major has 5 sharps is completely overwhelming for a beginner. I can see where that person (and Chopin, if that's true) is coming from, as B major isn't a difficult scale - but from a beginners understanding I don't feel it's the best scale to learn FIRST. You don't learn how to read music in B major, you generally begin reading the white notes (C major/A minor) and then gradually introduce other key signatures. There's no point learning B major scale as a beginner if you're not going to learn pieces of music in the key of B major... 😐 C major BY FAR is the easiest scale to learn as you just need to know where C is and play all the white keys, not thinking about the black keys yet.
I have followed the classic approach so of course I played the white notes to start with. But the advantage was that after trying B Major, I lost my fear of black notes.
This was fantastic! I love that you did it from start to finish so I could learn it in one go! :)
Thank you for sharing.👏🏻

Hi, thanks so much for this video! I have a question, in the very intro, when do you start playing the left hand notes? Like which left hand note should fall on which right hand note? I'm not sure how you're coordinating it. Thanks very much!
