Curious, I do remember a story from the US where a kid was being bullied pretty hard. Like physically and mentally. It got to the point where he threatned if he beat him up the next day he would stab him. Next day he unsheated knife at the flagpole and told him not to come close or he would stab him, bully just laughed then he stabbed him. Any other country that would be manslaughter, but I am pretty sure he got off in the US for self-defense. Dunno if he got in trouble for bringing a knife to a school though.
@@johnstock3282 Because it's an escelation of violence (knife, murder) in the eyes of court even though I agree that courts are generally both ran and judged by people who have been in few fights (lawyers and judges) and they don't usually understand that a fist fight actually can lead to death. Any fight, especially with a bully victim who is smaller and less experienced could technically be attempted murder but courts don't see it that way because of stuff mentioned above. Courts also have this stupid thing that minors beating each other up is considered just "childhood" things that everyone goes through, but once it leads to death they have to remind them that battery and assault is against the law. It's a bias with minors which also comes into play when a victim defends themselves like he did. The more important part for other countries which do not have self-defense laws like the US does is the duty to retreat or to run away which is much more weighed upon in cases where self defense leads to murder. The argument here is that if there is a way to get away or to call the police, one should do so, or else you will have a society where people murder each other and claim self defense every time. Many legal systems try to avoid a "license to kill" so to speak. In most countries he would be tried for murder, but in the US, because he said: "If you come closer I will stab you", a CREDIBLE threat which was ignored that signals the knife, because his life was threatned by being beat up and I think because the beating being "planned" so to speak he got off on self defense. IIRC he threatned once the day before and right before he stabbed him when he approached him with the knife in hand. He basically did as much pre-caution as he could which is probably the only reason why he was let off the hook even in the US. I remember it was a big thing at the time and literally EVERYONE on social media took the bully victim's side on this.
I loved this podcast but this animal guy should know Leopards are rarely larger than Jaguars.
Forrest Galante is my favorite person on Joe's podcast. Such a humble guy, not a bullshitter. I genuinely enjoy listening to him.
Best podcast in my opinion. I would love to see him back on. Very interesting and humble guy.

He’s been bk on since 👍
Malaria has killed everyone ever and a hippo can run 98 mph. Check those facts though because I could be wrong

I wouldn't have been shocked if this guy had said that.

Joe "what's your take on this completely unanswerable, deeply philosophical question" Rogan
Joe “I’ll piss on your feet” Rogan.
Joe " WOW" Rogan
Finally a good episode. Joe leave politics alone, your core fans love these kind of guests. Historians, archeologists, scientists, survivalists
So you liked this guy's misinformation?
Long as joe doesn't take a dump on big daddy Trump you cultists love him to bits
Absolutely amazing podcast! Topics like wildlife adventure or exploration is so fascinating!

Did you watch Galantas show on Animal Planet, EXTINCT OR ALIVE? Im loving loving it.
Have you watched the Elon Musk podcast yet? Best one I've seen.
If Bert Kreisher and Steve Irwin had a lovechild
Sketch Armslong u mean burnt Chrysler?
Sketch Armslong THAT is funny, lol!!!
Here we have a bottle of Tito's, isn't he a beauty!!!
I loved this podcast but this animal guy should know Leopards are rarely larger than Jaguars. Jaguars are generally heavier and posses substantially more miscle mass and skull size than that of any living leopard species. I think he just agreed with joe without hearing the question properly so ill let him off. Sick podcast though yewwww
No. If Birt Kreisher and Elon Musk had a love child
I could listen to him talk about wildlife and nature all day. It's great to listen to someone talk about what they truly love
"Enough to kill a moose"
"It wouldn't kill it, but it would definitely make it think its not a moose anymore"
I couldn't contain the laughter, I woke the baby
Am I the only one looking up everything they are talking about?
not at all mate...that's shit interesting af
Jaime?
No one thinks your special. Do your "looking up" and fuck off.

Nope. 2 hour video took me 3.5 hours because I looked up everything. From locations to people to animals. I love wildlife biology though.

Members of the Native American Church, who use peyote as a sacrament, also believe that throwing up is a sign your body is getting rid of something evil. A special member of the clergy is appointed with a small shovel to make sure all the vomit is cleaned up and treated appropriately, because it still contains the sacred peyote. And don't call it a DRUG around NAC members, it is al ways will be "the medicine" of choice!

I am only 12 and I am writing this on my aunts phone I love wildlife more than anything I love in Namibia a country in southwest Africa and Jaguar are bigger than leopards and the khoisan don't live in the Saharah they live in the kahlahari desert in Namibia,South Africa and Botswana. The people who are very short are the pygmies of the Congo in central Africa and the people who were hunted were the natives of Australia.Don't get me wrong I look up to Forrest and want to be just like him.I watch Extinct or alive every Sunday because we get the episodes later.
Sorry I said love instead of live.I live in Namibia.

Gallante: I just rediscovered old dog species
Joe: Interesting do you think dinosaurus still exist
Hey Joe thanks for having this guy on. He needs more exposure. His show EXTINCT OR ALIVE in my opinion is thick with entertainment sensationalism but at the core is legit science and enthusiasm, which I love
It's crazy how he just found a giant Galapagos tortoise too that had been extinct since like 1905. Great job bud!
Miguel Gómez thought to have been extinct* he disproved it :)
1906 :)
Thought to be extinct* silly lol
Best guest and conversation in weeks
shitty guest that should leave nature alone
@uk te this nature exists where it does to avoid humans, he has no reason to go near it other than to sell a shitty tv show
@uk te yah the people who pay him and the universities are worse..leave the animals alone
Brian Cox was really interesting
This guy was a horrible guest. Full of misinformation and pretty confident about it too.
Why do I want Forrest Gallante to mentor Steve Irwin's son so badly, imagine all that enthusiasm between the two looking to de extinct shit
