Me first boyfriend used to cheat on me like it was his J.O.B
Every time I turned around he was cheating on me, girls were telling me he was cheating and I was physically catching him in the act. I never considered it to be “abuse” but it definitely was.

True, that's why it felt shocking for me when she said it bc both abuse and cheating are very horrible things to go through, but society never put cheating in the same category as abuse. That's why the trauma afterwards is so bad!

Also what about that love isn't supposed to hurt. Why go back after the first hit or maybe when he punched you in the car, that should have been your final decision dealing with him. That guy was so damaged, and dangerous. Thank God that you survived and lived to tell your story.

My Ex hit me ONE TIME. He choked me, wouldn’t let me leave the house, and slapped me a couple of times. That’s all it took. 🚮🚮🚮 NEVER AGAIN. It’s been two years and he is still begging to get back together. He keeps saying it was only once, he would never do it again, etc. I don’t care! I don’t play that!! PERIODT! No matter how good the relationship was I have daughters! I have to lead by example!!

My first abusive relationship i was 16 and he was 26, my first real relationship really. 3 yrs too long but I left. Learned my lesson. A year ago a new bf tried to hit me, all it took was once and I left. I'm 27 now and he still messages me trying to reconnect. I just ignore him.

I'm in a healthy relationship and a year ago I sang at my mom and dads wedding. They finally tied the knot after it all. Our family has been through a lot but we made it out pretty ok in the end I think

My purpose of creating this storytime was to share my experience and to hopefully save someone’s life to give them the courage to leave a similar situation. Do you know how hard it was for me to get on here to share this? And to get negative comments goes to show how insensitive some people are. But what’s worse is tht a lot of the negative comments are from WOMEN! Some of y’all was throwing low key shade. I didn’t make this video to get judged and it doesn’t matter how many times I went back just know I left and I didn’t go back!! She if I sense shade or a insensitive rude comment you will IMMEDIATELY get blocked! I could careless about losing followers. This is my story my life and my channel! If you dnt have anything nice to say keep it to yourself and move around!!

I know that it took a lot of courage to share your story and I'm glad you did. I hope that you've had a chance to read some of the other comments from women who are also survivors and are posting supportive comments to you and other women on this thread. You started a discussion and gave people a chance to vent and get advice. Posting your story on youtube for the world to see shows how strong you are. I'm really thankful that you made it through that situation, sis. ❤❤❤

Because a lot of them have such deep issues themselves. (No justification for their actions whatsoever!) I was in a similar situation for almost 9 years. It wasn’t nearly as bad (physically speaking), but very toxic. However, after a certain point, I had to look myself in the mirror and ask why was I putting up with it. We have to find ourselves as women and then learn our worth.

I’m so mad at myself for not listening to my friends and family and letting him treat me like that.. Now he has another girlfriend and a couple months ago he called my phone and texted me some stuff i talk about it with his girl and he basically said I’m a liar and I want him back and other things.. why people are so mean? Why he destroyed my life?😭 now I know it’s was a lesson, i well never NEVER let another man to do me like that again! I love myself and I know god was saved me from this person.. The crazy thing is I was that girl that couldn't understand why a girl would ever stay in a relationship with someone who put his hands on her and I'd judge judge JUDGE!! Then I met my abuser and fell in love. Still married to this day but trying to leave him permanently. It is the hardest thing I've ever been through and I've been through a lot!! Reminds me of that verse "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you" it's so true!! So ya'll watch yourself and stop judging because the same thing can happen to you.

I too was shot by an ex back in September 2018 I was shot in the back I was hit 2x I tell you this guy harassed me for 6 month I put a vpo on this guy and it only seemed to fuel his harassment he put my tires on flat broke my window on my truck broke my patio door out I was harassed on so many levels I called the police over and over and never seemed to get any help and the night before he called and said he was going to kill me and less than 24hrs he showed up at my house and shot at me thru my patio door I am so grateful to God that He spared my life and I know that He did so for a purpose and I'm still searching for that purpose I now am still waiting on him to be sentenced but my life has changed and very hard for me to trust again I truly believe that I now have to help others to stop allowing yourself to just settle and to wait on God to send that one thank you for sharing Thank God you to are still alive .

I’m 29 years old now and I was in a domestic violence relationship in my teens. I’ve never been to therapy for this situation and I’ve always ignored this part of my past. But there are certain situations that happens which triggers me and I believe I have PTSD. My ex used to cheat on me constantly, he chocked me, caused bruises on my body from abusing me physically, and he verbally abused me. He would accuse me of cheating after checking my private area and attack me, and I never cheated on him. After these attacks I would have anxiety attacks.
He went to jail but he would write my letters and have his Mom call me. When he got out he would stalk me, bribe me, and he constantly called everyday. I will never forget when he told me “if I can’t have you, no one can” but God saw different for me and he eventually left me alone.
    Thanks for sharing!

Glad that God saved YOU, someone was praying for you. Also, I think God got a plan for you in this world. I almost lost my life 2 years ago. My ex husband attacked me with a hammer, he hit me in the head, received 15 staples. Since then, I have learned the Bible because it's my Manuel in this world. I have realized there's a lot of spirits that's coexist with humans in this world. It seemed like that was a demonic spirit that was using your ex boyfriend to try to take you out. Get to know your BIBLE, read the scriptures that is how you will get your power over any demonic spirits. Hosea 4:6, get knowledge and keep knowledge. God didn't give us the spirit of FEAR, it only come from the DEVIL. Talk to GOD, quote bible scriptures to fight back. You are not dealing with flesh and blood, Ephesian 6:12. You feel so small and they have you believing the bullshit they feed you. Nobody else will want you, you ugly, compare you to other females. They just totally destroy the self esteem and respect that you have for yourself. You baby girl, tell your story cuz you never know who might need to hear it right then. God bless you baby girl

Thank you for sharing this matter of your heart. You never “get over” trauma. I got stabbed before, but not due to DV. I was abused by my daughter’s father, but I too broke & ended things when he kicked my door in, jumped on me, blacked my eyes, chipped a tooth, & beat me TF up. When our mental health ain’t on point, nothing else is. 💪🏾🧠❣️

My ex husband locked me in the house 6 months after having our twins and beat me for 2 hrs straight.
Sis I hope that you have gotten therapy and know that this in NO WAY affects your worth as a human being. YOU ALONE ARE ENOUGH!!
My ex husband used to beat me for him getting caught cheating on me as well.

Thanks for sharing your story. I was married and with him for 17+ years. Throughout that time, I was belittled, punched, slapped, beat with paddles, hit in the head with a paddle that broke and had a gash as a result, chocked, threaten to kill me, spit on, kicked, etc...... Till this very day, it has affected who I am as a woman. So glad you made it out, although you had to go through so much to get out. Take care.💜🌸

I was in a abusive relationship for 5 years it was the hardest situation to get out of. Its easy for someone to say get out but when you fear for your life it’s a different story. Every time I thought I had a chance my fear of him kicked in and I stayed. I never went back and fourth in the relationship because believe me if I had the courage to leave at least one time I would of never looked back not with all the beatings and black eyes or waking up with a gun in my mouth for no reason. I’m so happy that god was looking over you and nothing happened to you on that night. Unfortunately many women don’t make it out alive.. I’m glad you shared your story to give women awareness and if or when they see the first signs like the verbal abuse to stay away because trust me it only gets worse and the first time you forgive and stay your giving them that power. Also I want to say and shout out the good men we have to realize that not all men hit and mistreat their women it took me time but I found someone that respects me and truly loves me.. shout out to those men.

ladies if a man hit you, that is one time too many!! just leave him, no matter how much he apologizes, sends you flowers, cries, etc...
women keep going back, why? those men are psychopaths, narcissist. So not worth it!!
even the verbal abusers, they talk to you crazy, disrespect you leave them. because when they start with the verbal it moves to the physical. Stop trying to "save" these sick men, stop, the drama and co-dependent. just leave!!
I was with a narcacisst and he was an alcoholic went to counseling l. learned my lesson.

You are so dope for this video! I can tell you went back and forth about telling your story bc of what people may think is your reason or motive. ... But know this, God put you thru that, made sure you survived, and wrote your story leading up to that point, and what happened after purposely so you could be relatable for other young woman out here that think the exact way most young woman think. When your young you look at older people and the things they try to warn you about "as not knowing what they are talking about" but when you see someone on your level, that thinks how you do, talks like you, likes what you like, around your age ....it makes a much BIGGER impact. You are more important than you know.... GOD CHOSE YOU!!!

Girl .. hearing your story really gave me chills because our stories are so similar... I was shot at 16 years old by my boyfriend . Shot in the right leg .. called my mom while I was WALKING to the hospital ! And he followed me the entire way there and he acted as if he didn’t do it and went on Facebook saying he’s gonna find out who did it to me .. whole time it was him!! I’m 24 now and he still looks for me ..... ladies ... walk away as soon as you can!
