    Auch die Vielfalt der Musikrichtung ist auch sehr schön zb The Entertainer auf einer Wurlitzer Orgel mit seinen Bruder auf dem Piano, das macht richtig gute Laune.
    Vielen Dank dafür 👍👍👍👍👍😀😀😀

    Whenever these fine gents post a new video and it starts to play I like the video as you are zooming in to the church before the music starts because I already know it’s gonna be good no matter what they are doing , perfect example is here , this is a new piece I’ve not heard before and now after seeing and hearing it in such a way I now have another piece to appreciate, even those that I do not have a taste for at first grow on me and I love it , Thank you both Johnathan and Tom for educating me and broadening my musical spectrum and helping me to appreciate such a masterful art

    Nothing at all to do with the arrangement or performance, which are faultless, as always, but as a musical dinosaur I really appreciate the fact that Jonathan plays from paper copies of his music! I'm so glad he's not, as yet, been tempted down the e-route!! I've seen so many fellow musicians come a-cropper with frozen screens etc etc etc!

      Better yet, memorize the notes on paper and then play the music .

    • @paulbinns9375
      @paulbinns9375 Рік тому +10

      @@organbuilder272 Not easy to do when you are juggling four to six keyboards, 3 octaves of pedals, a combination of anywhere in the region of 1 to 125 million stops (most of which would be unplayable but could be selected by error), swells and decays with overall volume control by pedal and master buttons . . . Well you get my point that there is so much going on and so to prepare for it the Artist needs more than the notes of the music. Moreso he needs his basic performance notes, which are cues to anticipate those stop changes to alter the timbre or sound of the notes. But you will notice Jonathan has everything all on one page, even for a long piece of music. And, notice that Jonathan never needs a page turner, nor do you ever see him touch his paper while playing during a video.
      Jonathan is a pretty amazing artist.
      (As an aside, the legendary organist Virgil Fox recorded a live performance of one of Bach’s most famous fugues, and video subsequently shows that he did not use notes. About half of the way through he forgot where he was and went way off track, eventually finding his way back to a point where he could progress to the end. Even for a master like Fox, at the peak of his artistry, disaster can strike in an organ recital without notes.)

      @paulbinns9375 Carlo Curley was recording another Marche Militaire and keychanged himself into a corner. He vamped for a good 20 seconds until he found a way out, worked his way down to the original key, and his Whoop! Of joy is clearly heard. He remarked to me that he was a couple of bars away from giving up and raising his hands from the keyboard in surrender when he saw a door open as if by magic. He keychanged down to the original and finished with a typical Carlo Cecendo. Boy, do I miss him.

    What a great match of instrument to composition and arrangement ! The timbres are so open and woody that this organ is the perfect substitute for a military band with all its clarinets and woodwinds backed up by the brass when needed. Of course I think Jonathan’s skillful arrangement makes a difference. 😊 ❤.
    Thanks to both of you for such a satisfying experience. A great way to start a day. Hey I think I’ll use it as my alarm clock ⏰ wake-up sound. Do you mind ?

    Schubert is difficult and not necessarily harmonious, he was the punk of his time, but thanks for the upload, dear Johnathan!
    You have to be able to put up with Schubert somehow.
    He just has something of the sleazy kids of his time.
    He was, quite simply, a poor composer, a wannabe artist who wouldn't be thrown a euro in his hat these days.
