Not deep by no means. Maybe 6 inches at best on coins
Very good discrimination and separation for how old they are
Recovery speed is slow
Overall score 20 out of 66 points

Good video. Nice to see the old machines. Its crazy that there top of the line 30 years ago would get smoked by there current bottom line ace 150.

I had this detector years ago. Nice meter. Fun to use. Was heavy for sure. The biggest issue I had was the lack of depth. I bought a Toltec 100 back then too. It was heavy too. But it had much better depth then the Garrett. Still I would not minding picking up a master hunter. Still have many accessories for it

Old metal detectors are like old radios. All the old electrolytic capacitors (The can type) and many Tantalum capacitors will need to be replaced or they will perform VERY VERY badly.

Hi, i have a Garret 7x for service as the coil chassis connector (5-pin, but 1 is missing. is it normal?) was totally pulled out and no pcb wires also. does anybody or you have a re-wire schematics for this?. thanks for any help....

made in China? WRONG.. Made in the USA !
The circuit boards are chinese made in these , open one up and read the "Made in Hong Kong" printed on the PCB.
you need to move all the way around the object when you swing that coil !

not practical in real life, how are you suppossed to know there's anything there in the first place if you are suppossedly looking for something which you don't know it is there
Where did you purchase this metal detector?
On ebay used.
Not the best detectors for depth these , neither is the CX 3. The internal electronics look poor quality.
