Always interesting to hear an instrument that has a kind of emotional quality to its basic timbre. No matter how abstract the meanderings... it somehow manages to sound melancholic. I have no electrical engineering knowledge, but my bf says the circuit diagrams Peter offers are like looking into an alternate reality of circuits. It's really special that makes something sound interesting, and not just noisy.
Great video. As a Tetrax owner myself I find it very useful to watch another work this instrument. The circuit architecture paired with the piezo pickups leads to a very user-specific sound, so I heard many new timbres and rhythms that I hadn't yet arrived at. I have one small correction: when talking about the knobs you mentioned that one pair of knobs was for waveshaping, when in fact they alter the pitch of all four oscillators simultaneously. One is for course control, while the other is for fine tuning.
Thank you for your comment, and for the correction. I know that “Waveshaping” was not technically accurate, since these knobs change the pitch as well as the timbre, but I didn’t want to get bogged down in details (especially ones that I do not fully understand:) Cheers!
I miss my sidrassi organus that I got from Peter 15 years ago. It vanished from my gig case back in 2011 😢. At least I have the recordings I made with it on my channel

Yes I agree; he sound of this instrument is incredibly evocative, strangely organic. I bet it would blend very well with acoustic instruments.

looks like a blast, the piezos adds an interesting touch
Yes is is a really interesting, wild instrument. Thanks for watching!
Great
Thanks for watching!

Sorry for your loss! Thanks for watching.
