Well, I just colonized the nether, and in the upper world, everything is under my control in 1 village, and there are a lot of trial chambers and ruins, all that remains is to recapture those territories from illagers.
Since I was a kid, I especially liked the Mellohi, I don't know why, but it always would give me this strange unnerving and mysterious feeling of guilty pleasure, like it was wrong listening to this.
It’s nice to see that stal is universally loved and absolutely everyone enjoys listening to it. You would have to be a serial killer in the late 90s to not love it
Otherside is my favorite. I remember it coming out when me and my friends made our little town on minecraft. Its empty now, but hearing that song will always remind me of our shenanigans while building.

God, I remember that’s the only thing I used to do. I had a 2-ceiling-high diamond ore box house with a jukebox that I’d put every music disc in over and over listening to the awesome tunes. My favourite was and is still Strad. I’m trying to set the thing back up again 😄
The start of chirp always scares me for no reason there’s just an unnerving feeling Edit: thanks for all the likes you guys, I’ve never had this many likes in my life!
Cat is my go to disc, but the nostalgia of seeing dantdm mod videos, stampy, popularmmos, and others, i legit tried to watch every single stampy vid when I was a kid. Every time I would hop on minecraft, and the sound was on, it was the saddest shit ever, it made me feel so alone, and I did invite my friend to play with me at my house all the time, but sometimes she wasn't available. My first experience with minecraft I think was on my dad's phone, you couldn't do shit, and this was in the earlier stages of minecraft, then we had it on our iPad minis, then on our depressing as desktop that's now completely impossible to use, because of Norton. It's on the Playstation 3 as a tutorial only, but when we got our Xbox One, minecraft was the first game. To me minecraft is best played on the computer and Xbox, it's just easier to build
I think all of the new music is good, C418 had an amazing style, and it’s a shame that there isn’t more of his music in the game because Microsoft being Microsoft. But I do love the new music, Lena raine, kumi tanioka and Aaron cherof did an amazing job with the 1.16, 1.18, 1.19 and 1.20 soundtracks. some of my favorites from those include rubedo, an absolutely devastating nether track, which suits the nether so well. Infinite amethyst, by Lena raine, which invokes a similar feeling of nostalgia to C418s music. One more day, also by Lena raine is beautiful. Comforting memories by kumi tanioka is one of the most emotionally breathtaking tracks in the game and you would be a cool to say otherwise. Otherside feels so surreal and makes you want to explore and find new things. Relic, a familiar room, crescent dunes and bromeliad are all beautiful tracks that fit perfectly into the game, very similar to C418s style. C418 may not make music for Minecraft anymore but the new music being made is beautiful and needs to be recognized for that.
So c418s style can’t be matched however I love the new music and I think the community should give it a chance I personally love 1.19 and 1.20s soundtrack
I agree. Sometimes it feels like people hate on the newer tracks purely because they're not made by c418 rather than anything related to actual quality
What do you think of the 1.21 soundtrack? Creator is my favorite disk from 1.21! My favorite track besides that is probably Featherfall, Puzzlebox, Watcher, and Deeper. (Lol, yes that's basically half the track, but they're just so GOOD!) :D
chirp was always my go-to favorite disc to use, it's so nostalgic :( i remember building SO MANY restaurants and shops and always finishing it off with a jukebox for chirp
Cat is my favourite and has been for a long time. I would put it on while building things on the xbox 360. I remember building a fake jungle on a superflat world with a cool treehouse hidden in it.
Far and mall feel really nostalgic to me along with otherside even though it was only released recently cuz everyone used to play it on a minecraft server i was on a while ago
The beginning of the Ward disc sounds like Ghosts n' Stuff by Deadmau5, who also had some unreleased soundtracks for Minecraft and has his own ears coded to his account!
Far, ward, and wait are my favorite video game songs of all time, maybe some Undertale and Zelda music is up there, but nothing compares to these 3 discs in my eyes

I always found Mellohi to be somewhat sad. The beginning of Ward was also kinda sad because it sounded like funeral music, but after the intro it turns into a banger! I was also unsettled by Disc 13 and absolutely terrified by Disc 11.
Stal and Mellohi are the perfect songs for becoming a Minecraft mafia boss who rules the local village.
