Yeah, the car noticeably bogs down in 5th right? I’m already on a 4.556 FD which brings 1st to 4th pretty much in line with the MT ratios. I’m in two minds about going shorter to 4.8 or even 5.1, as the car is also used for long motorway journeys and right now - the gearing is perfect for sitting at 70mph (~2,500 rpm).
No supercharger or turbo on the BRZ, but it has a full aero kit and wide tyres which allows the car to carry a lot more speed through some corners (and makes up for the power gap, to a degree) 👍🏼
That 5th gear is a right buzz kill.
It definitely bogs down in 5th, even with a 4.556 final drive… a 4.8 or 5.1 might be better for track use.
When you are cruising 60mph, whats your rpm with that 4,556 fd? Like your car!
Looked fairly well geared with the supercharger, until 5th seemed way too long. Shorter FD time?

@@3782MC sounds good. Probably be fine on shorter tracks.
The brz does not have supercharger or turbo!?!
