Haha, I wish I had watched this first. I also had to use a torch and my stock charging handle caught fire. I replaced it with teh switchback and am actually much happier.
This is looks great, but why is there a gap in between the top rail and chassis of the Aug, just curious, also will there be a handguard where you just attach it from the front end and don’t have to mess around with the top rail, or due to the design of the Aug this is the only option?
Hey is it possible to attach this part and to remove the folding foregrip? I was thinking that I’d get rid of the original and upgrade to an mlok foregrip
I have been debating between this and clawgears forend as I hate the vertical grip of the aug. Would the barrel be quickly replaceable if the grip was removed or do you have to remove the forend regardless to get the barrel out?
My AUG was purchased late last year. It has a serial number prefix of 23USA***, and a casting code of April 2020 on the receiver. I am well pleased with the rail. Fitment and finish are tops, as all Manticore Arms products have been in my experience. I want to advise you that my AUG factory rail was secured with bolts that take a T30 Torx wrench. I used a t-handle style T30 Torx wrench and I was able to remove the bolts without using a torch.
Looks great. Would be great if you could make a 3 sided m-lok rail adapter that would replace the AUG front hand grip.

Doh! Well at least you know you aren't the first person to do that! ;)

Is that an enhanced magazine release I spy as well?
Good eyes! Should be up on our webstore in the next week. :)
Any idea what the height over bore would be using a lower 1/3 co-witness mount?

Will it fit a MSAR aug?
The MSAR guns use a different top rail mounting system so unfortunately this forend and top rail system will not work on the MSAR guns, sorry!

You need to remove the forend regardless of if the vertical foregrip is installed or not.
Does it work on NATO version?
Yes, it works on both the NATO and AUG magazine stocks, as long as the gun has the A3 M1 receiver
@@svenjonsson9 thank you. Would you make longer hand guard for the 20” barrel?
@@Semi-J We are sticking to this version for the moment, if there is enough demand we may consider doing other versions of it.

Man I’d be all over this if I could still fold the foregrip
