The Prius prime is definitely on my shortlist. Living in LA with a short but in traffic commute, it would be a perfect car. The hatch also makes it practical enough to put a bike or a shortboard in the back.
he is one of the most honest reviewers out there....i have a prius and i 100% agree. LOUDDD engine sound when it kicks in, but a significant powertrain upgrade. things rattle inside intermittently and it is driving me BONKERS...i can't find what is vibrating and rattling....paint is also very very fragile, one little touch, you have a microscratch and swirlmark...interior plastics scratch easily too..but as far as MPG, as long as you drive in eco range...you can get 57 mpg, thats on a XLE trim with 19" tires.
Blows me away he didn’t like the audio! Just about every other review I’ve watched said it sounded good! Looking forward to delivery of my Black limited !
I am checking out prius and elantra hybrid. Which one would you recommend? Reliabilitywise, Toyota is getting alot of recalls this year, so I am considering toyota and hyundai is like on par. Check out both cars in your channels, both cars seem running 0-60 at similar time in reality.
I could not agree with you more. Why do all these car manufacturers have to do that? It’s like they are saying this car is an EV so we’re gonna make it is ugly as possible.
Dare I say that when looking at it from the sides, it kind of reminds you of the Aston Martin in Daniel Craig 007 films??? Just outstanding design! This won't be easy to get at the Toyota dealership.
It cost more than the Venza, which is 10X more luxuries than the Prius, has a lot more room than the Prius, and MPG is almost the same, so why not get the Venza?
A similarly equipped Venza Limited is over $42k. If you compare base LE to base LE, the Prius is $7k less expensive. In any case the Venza is far less efficient. You are comparing an SUV against a car, not apples to apples.
Great review as always Sam! We wanted to get one with the 12.3, rearview & 360 cam but you're forced to get highest trim 😑 didn't want to give up the smaller rims and better mileage so we are getting a LE instead lol.. ❤ from Mesa!
The Only way to buy a Prius is to order them is the nail in the coffin for the Prius. $30k+ for an economical car is an oxymoron. Making then lower and smaller inside they will loose most of us old people (50 year old) that have bought 3 of them. Most of the people that are raving about them NEVER bought them before and will NEVER buy one anyway. Fact. Actual Prius owners (That actual bought Prius NEVER gave a crap in 0-60 EVER, if I want speed I would take out the ZX14r or her Boxster). even though we bought 3 off them before we will NOT buy the new design. We will just keep the older version because they will run for ever. It’s actually a FAIL for the ACTUAL Prius BUYERS.
That's a great looking Prius. Love your honest reviews Sam!
I just love your reviews of cars. You are a no BS guy. That is so damn refreshing! Thank you so much!

If your commute is too short then buying a hybrid doesnt make finacial sense.
Why is it that these cars don’t have the tune/scroll for fm am radio anymore??

Let’s get ya to 100k subs!!
Is that a Prime? Why is the floor of the trunk so high?
Uffff. Thanks for this long awaited review from you !!

I never thought a Prius would give me a semi. If you like Sam's video don't forget to like and SUBSCRIBE! 100k here we come!
Good review Sam. Thanks for the drive around Phoenix. Thinking a Corolla Cross hybrid is a better option, especially for carshare operators.
The 3rd generation and the new are my favorites
I like the included road noise test
Finally a car with EV capability that doesn't look like a modified '96 Ford Taurus without a grill!
I could not agree with you more. Why do all these car manufacturers have to do that? It’s like they are saying this car is an EV so we’re gonna make it is ugly as possible.
Finally the most complete review of all, with detailed info
That front windshield rake is like the polar opposite of the windshield in my Jeep Wrangler! :)
I'm probably going to trade my Wrangler Unlimited for a Prius. Think I'll notice a difference? 😀
Is it hard to get in and out of for someone tall, since it's so low?
Most likely. Getting into a Prius is probably akin to stepping down into a ditch.
Always love your reviews! Would love to see how the all wheel drive version would perform in the snow as I live a little south of Buffalo, NY. Cheers!

This won't be easy to get at the Toyota dealership.
Good news! I have one in my driveway!
Good luck getting it. Placed order second week of January. Yet to enter manufacturing phase…
Great review Sam!
9:35 - “this is a city car” . Interesting point
Good luck finding one
I prefer the base model

Or rockford Fosgate, four-way speakers

70%?
Replace the speakers with pioneer three-wayS
A decent review.
HINT - listen to this review at 2X speed = MUCH BETTER !!
0-60 8.2 seconds, something isn't right, I did 6.9 in mine.
🚙EV with engine👍
good Hybrid car for a good price 👍

No one believes you. 😆
Front end is a big improvement, rear. meh. C-HR style rear door handle, big thumbs down.
Honda still sucks!
No test drive
?
I would buy the base Tesla model 3 for $39.9k and $3750 ev tax credit. Faster, cooler, more fun, less expensive.
If an EV is what you wanted....sure. This is not that ;)
Model 3 doesn’t look nearly as good and I can go from Atlanta to dc non stop. Can a Tesla do that? NO!!!!!! 😂 😊
