Makes you realise what incredible value you can get if you're not fussed about being close to big cities or tourist areas. This is spectacular although the cost of furnishing it (one does not buy furniture for a place like this - one brings the inherited family pieces - Ed.) and upkeep costs must be eyewatering. You can only hope that whoever moves in treats it with appropriate respect (that said, The Gentlemen was a good show)
Owned by Geoffrey Humphries, the painter, not difficult to work out. Could be transformed by a deep pocketed buyer with a very clever and period sympathetic interiors person, I wish I had the job, I've done similar & it could be stunning. It all looks fine on first viewing, then you start to notice how much needs doing, the poor kitchen, oy vey!! Also the original entrance should somehow be restored, as it looks like everyone's coming in the back door at the moment - good luck all.
You'd need many millions to restore it - the cost of having all that wood ice blasted would cost a fortune alone. I'll make a deal with you - if I have a mega win on the lotto, you can restore it!
Gorgeous
Is this still on sale?
