Fjallraven Raven (Greenland) Jacket First Impression

I couldn't find any video reviews on this jacket anywhere so I decided to make my own. Hopefully it's helpful to somebody. Inspired by the classic military M65 jacket, Fjallraven Raven (Greenland) Jacket is versatile jacket that can be worn on the hiking trail as well as out on the town during spring or fall, when the weather gets chilly.

here in Australia i had never come across a jacket with the zipper pull on the right side, until i bought an alpha industries m65 and the zipper is on the right side. i must say, i prefer the zipper pull on the left side.

Zipper pull on the right used to mean ladies garment.
Left us for the boys. Same with buttons.

You mentioned wishing it was a bit more snug around the waist - it had inner waist drawcords for that purpose.

You're right! Still I ended up exchanging it for small and it fits me even better now.

I think it looks a bit big on you, bro... I'm similarly sized and went with the small which really fits nicely...

I agree with you! I actually ended up exchanging it to small and fits me much better. I definitely recommend sizing it down for this jacket.

Great video. Yes Räven means The Fox. Räv without ”en” is Fox. And Fjäll means the kind of mountain where it is too cold for trees to grow on top, also scale I think.

Is the raven and the greenland jacket exactly the same except the hideable hoody? Will they be the same size?

I wouldn't say they're exactly the same but they're in same "greenland" family of jackets. As far as fit, my guess is they're similar since they're both inspired by the military "M65" jacket, which is to say they're both baggy. My suggestion is unless you're planning on wearing a lot of layers, size down from your normal size. I usually wear medium jacket but I had to size down to small and I'm happy with it!
