I think this was a very good review. The issue with a lot of cozy games is that "cozy" is used as an umbrella term for any game that doesn't have combat and has some sort of farming mechanic. I wish there were better ways to label cozy games into different categories. This is more of a management game where careful thought put into all of your resources makes the gameplay more smooth. I didn't have an issue with unlocking skills in the trees because I literally would not move forward with the story until all items I crafted stopped giving xp and I had hosted all the parties available, as well as did the cooking mini game a lot to figure out which meals worked well together with different setups. I personally enjoy management games. it's basically it's own genre. I can respect when reviewers are able to objectively talk about the game and what it does and when they can recommend it to the proper audience. Recognizing when a game is not for you can be difficult, but I can appreciate reviewers who don't just write a game off as "bad" just because they couldn't personally get into it.
It’s definitely hard to put aside our own thoughts and feelings when giving a review. I try to give as much of my own experience with it as I can but also look at it for the game itself. I played HOURS of this game 😂 and kept coming back cause I want to know what happens. For me this game was perfectly “cozy” 🥰 thank you for your input and kind words. I do agree with categorizing cozy games better, cause the thing with games is not every game is for everyone.
@@keeksington I will warn, like I mentioned that there is moments when I got a bit confused on how to craft certain things where I had to look stuff up lol. But alot of people have made a ton of helpful stuff already too.
