Ashleigh I seriously love your reviews. Honestly I'd only seen bits and pieces of What About Bob, but after this little preview I really want to see the whole thing. About Lake Winnipesaukee: it's the biggest lake in NH and everywhere around it is a big tourist area, plus that lake is pretty much in my backyard. I remember when this movie came out and it was a pretty big deal around NH because it's supposed to take place around Alton Bay. I know it was filmed elsewhere but this looks pretty accurate to the locale right down to the old Concord Trailways bus. Anyway stray being awesome Ashley and I look forward to more of your reactions and reviews.
You make me so happy!!! When I feel sad, I watch one of your reactions, you are so funny, smart, and adorable! Thank you for your brilliant work, you are the genuine article. Thanks!
I have to tell you this. This Movie literally saved my Life. I won't go into the full details, but I survived/stopped a Mas Shooter, back in April 2007. I was cool about it, for a couple of days, but then I started having Panic Attacks, patrolling and other things happening to me, to include random crying. I tried to go for help, but they offered pills and potentially more problems. So, I decided to "go it" alone. Then, I watched this Movie. I started to think about the "Baby Steps" concept and began to slowly walk it out, myself. It was a gain-of-confidence issue. It changed my life so profoundly, I am long since past having any issues. Make good Friends, eat well, and live well. Keep up the good work , Ashley. A true pleasure to watch.
@@rmhartman No they didn't grow up together, but rather in the same timeframe. The core of the story is mainly about Stephen Kings childhood. But the adaptation to film is heavily influenced by each ones life experiences coming together in one. The deer moment I think was an actual moment of Dreyfus life as a kid he borrowed and gave to his character. They mention something along the lines of this in the commentary on the DVD.
16:04 - That was actually a blooper, that Bill Murray saved, by saying "you can call me Boob" and they went into a little ad lib banter, to continue the scene.
The lake scenes were filmed at Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. The movie company had some special guests on sight that were not in the movie. Darrel Hanna and John F Kennedy Jr. The movie Lake Effects was also filmed at Smith Mountain Lake starring Scottie Thompson and Jane Seymore.

If you are interested in Richard Dreyfuss, "The GoodBye Girl" is a classic. (And the theme song will be playing in your head for awhile, ua-cam.com/video/xnMkKv1dtQw/v-deo.html )
Yes yes..! Seen it honestly at least 25 times...
Ashley would definitely like The Goodbye Girl.
The “future ex-husband” line gave me pause and I had to relisten to it because I thought you were talking about it being a favorite of you hubbins whom you were soon to divorce...😅🤗
Bill Murray and John Candy are two of my all time favorite comedic actors.
Richard Dreyfuss is one of those actors that, you don’t even have to know what the movie is about. If he’s in it, it’s going to be good.
"The man who knew too little" with Bill Murray is a very funny movie, btw.
Ashleigh is VERY excited to have a murder in this film! 😁
Why did I want a murder so badly?
@@awkwardashleigh Personally, I would have happily strangled Bob! 😁
She almost made it through the entire video without sneezing, burping, or hiccuping. But then she reverted back to form.👎
After "Misery" she has gotten a taste for it now :P LOL
I think Ashleigh is the only person that I would recommend the movie, Very Bad Things to.
I'll be quiet. Ill be peace. Absolute classic comeback!
IT WAS SO FUNNY
@@awkwardashleigh holding up the 2 finger peace sign sold it.
If you like Richard Dreyfuss, you should watch Down and Out in Beverly Hills (1986) with Bette Midler, Little Richard and Nick Nolte.
Or Stakeout!
@@andirandolph8830 stakeout is a great and underrated movie
I bet she would LOVE Little Richard.
14:02, that's Pam's kid from HOOK!😮
Your comment: Another movie with Richard Dreyfuss and mashed potatoes.....great.
Also, you must watch The Man Who Knew Too Little. Highly underrated, but one of Murray's best.
I loved your reaction when Richard Dreyfuss came on the screen. ❤😂
I don’t want children but I would have his.
😆😅🤣😂
Tremors a real good movie💥
Indeed it is. "Ya broke into the WRONG Rec Room, didn't ya?"
I've been lobbying for Tremors as long as I've been a viewer to this channel.
Second best monster movie ever made, after The Thing!
I was waiting for you to recognize Julie Hagerty from the movie Airplane but then realised that you haven't done that movie 😬
She’s also in Noises Off! which I think has come up as a possibility here
My favorite with her is Lost In America with the great Albert Brooks.
I thought she had done Airplane too.
@@ElisabethKisselstein Best comedy ever made. I can't wait for her to watch Noises Off!
Lost my mom in 2018. This was one of our fav movies to watch together. Thanks for the good memories. ☺️
“Let It Ride” is a funny Richard Dreyfus movie from what I remember.
Beans after the "insult": "You better sleep with one eye open tonight, human!" XD ;P
Check out "Tootsie" (1982). It lived on HBO back in the day, but I was young so couldn't get into it. Watched during pandemic and really enjoyed it.
Tootsie is a great one, yes ♥
There are two types of people in the world: 1. Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data.
There are 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary and those who do not.

Ha ha ha..
...and those who like Mcnuggets.
What's the second? I'm so confused. ;_;
I haven’t seen this movie since high school, it was one of those that my mom and I would watch together and laugh. I’m so glad you reacted to it so that I could reminisce. It makes me feel closer to her!
My mom loved it too. ❤ hugs
Another 'madness' movie you might enjoy is The Dream Team (1989) - Michael Keaton, Christopher Lloyd and Peter Boyle
another crazy movie to see: The Dream Team (1989) Michael Keaton + Christopher Lloyd + Peter Boyle , Four mental patients on a field trip in New York City
Good recommendation.
Anything with Micheal Keaton js
It's an 80s comedy gem. Great characters! I especially love Peter Boyle in that.
I named one of my cats after Bill Murray's character in this movie. Had trouble coming up with a name and I thought what about Bob? And just went with it.
Is you want to see a different side of Bill Murray try 2003 film "Lost In Tranasation." Also great Neil Diamond movie from 1980 "Jazz Singer".
"i'll be peace, i'll be quiet" and "FAMILY CONFERENCE" are quoted CONSTANTLY in my house lol.
Please watch “What’s Up Doc?” It’s such a funny movie and it’s the reason why San Francisco won’t let directors film movies in their city
The Man Who Knew Too Little is another underrated Bill Murray gem.
YES, YES, YES!!!
I used to deal with existential crap until I realized that I care more for others than myself. Now, I'm just unnaturally happy.
Stand by Me maybe? A Stephen King story. Inspired by Dreyfus, Reiner, and Stephen Kings childhood in small town Oregon.
Wait, what? I knew it was king's childhood ... But all three of them? Together??
@@rmhartman No they didn't grow up together, but rather in the same timeframe. The core of the story is mainly about Stephen Kings childhood. But the adaptation to film is heavily influenced by each ones life experiences coming together in one. The deer moment I think was an actual moment of Dreyfus life as a kid he borrowed and gave to his character. They mention something along the lines of this in the commentary on the DVD.
I'm so excited for Airplane! You also need to check out "The Man who Knew too Little" which is a Bill Murray everyone slept on
16:04 - That was actually a blooper, that Bill Murray saved, by saying "you can call me Boob" and they went into a little ad lib banter, to continue the scene.
If you love Richard Dreyfuss, you should watch and review The Goodbye Girl 1977. Richard Dreyfuss won an academy award for that. Its a romantic comedy. You'll love it.
