Hi Doug, what did you use for the back wall of your overhead cupboards? I used 3 mm ply that I curved around the bulkheads but that was not easy. You did a great job by the way. Mine looks similar but I took a detour by making my own sandwich sheeting to save weight, since I want to stay well under 4.5T

Hi Bart, I used the original ceiling panels which were a vinyl covered honeycomb. I cut grooves through the honeycomb to bend it around the curved ends and stapled it on the back. The open ends i routed a rebate and stapled them in the rebate. I fitted a complete new ceiling with textured vinyl covered 3mm caravan plywood.

Is Doug a cabinet maker? Work looks very tidy.
Would be interesting to see more of how he measured up and cut some of those cabinets, the cuts around the roof, where he sources materials, what resources he’s looking at when doing research etc.

Yes Doug is a very competent and experienced cabinet maker. We have had work completed by him at a very high standard. We will be checking in on his progress again so stay tuned.
